I was simply wanting to deposit a check I received from a well-known institution into my sons account. Midfirst said the check would take 5-7 days to clear, however... if you open a new account with us, your check will clear in 24-48 hours... that was on Monday the 17th of June. Brendon even called the company to verify funds, which prompted Brendon to then say that funds were available and I would have access to MY funds in 24 hours, in-fact he said it would most likely process overnight and funds would show first thing in the morning! I waited the 24-hour period, then the 48 period, then 3 days, then 4 days. Its now Friday the 21st of June and I'm now being told that although Midfirst has MY money in their system, they are holding it until June 26th... 9 days later. I then called Midfirst corporate office who said that the branch manager and Brendon were completely, 100% aware of of a nine-day hold on new accounts. I called the branch on Tuesday - no answer. Wednesday was Flippin' Juneteenth so they were closed. I called Thursday and finally got Brendon after being screened by the branch minions for 15 minutes. Brendon said he would take care of my issue and call me right back... I have never heard back from him. The branch manager will not call me back, and while I'm writing this, I have now been on the phone with corporate for over 2 hours... ON HOLD. No one at Midfirst is interested in talking to a customer, let a lone a new customer. THIS BY FAR IS THE THE MOST PATHETIC BANK IN ARIZONA.
