I've used Best Electric a number of times and will only use them exclusively. They've done projects necessary at my house but why they're so standout is what they do in the community and for the less fortunate. In 2020, my best friend's 13 year old son tragically lost his life, and I had to go in with restoration experts to desperately try to get the house not to be the scene she had left when she was able to return. During the restoration process we discovered a number of plumbing and electrical issues and me and some friends desperately called whatever professionals we could. (The plumber I knew who I used to work with responded "I don't work on weekends unless I have to" when we were having a 13 year old's funeral the next day, but that's another story / review. We were *paying* people, not asking for anybody to do their jobs for free but Best Electric swooped in and took care of everything gratis when they heard of the tragedy and this mother's grief. One of the young men doing the labor was also an amazing talented musician and wrote a song for the young man who lost his life. It's coming up on Mother's Day, and I will never forget Best Electric's contribution to healing above and beyond just being stellar at the service they provide.

When they showed me the bill, I was shocked to see they were billing me for 2 hours, times two technicians! The bill was for more than $360! I complained, called their manager, who was very dismissive and did not want to back down, although I had screenshots of when I had called him in the morning (because they were late coming in) and knowing that it was now still LESS than ONE hour since then. The manager ended up lowering the bill to charging me for "only" two hours on one technician and one hour for the second technician, so the bill came down to $260. For the work that took them 10 minutes. I have used Best Electric in the past, and this had never happened before. I was always treated and charged appropriately. After today, I will never call them again.

He was in our home for about 45 minutes from start to finish, and told my wife that the charge was $150. She resisted, but Mr. Mullins was creepy and pushy, and so she wrote him a check for $150, then called me at work. I immediately called Mr. Mullins on his cell phone for an explanation, but he did not take my calls. I left two voicemails, with my cell and work number, and he refuses to take my calls or to call me back. He also ran to the bank and cashed his check immediately. In short, he charged double the quoted price and took advantage of the fact that my wife did not know the details of the quote. Do not trust this electrician.

I would have happily negotiated a fair deal with them, instead they took it upon themselves to keep the deposit on what I FEEL false pretenses. Though they seemed knowledgeable on the work we discussed, I feel they lied to me about a county inspector's warning and even refused to name the inspector, which is odd. A name would have provided proof. As a homeowner, I can hire whom I wish. Also, I was given bogus reference info and I BELIEVE a fake home address. The investigation continues on that particular piece of data. Since I am contracting the project myself, I can hire whom I please as long as inspections are passed. Their reasoning for backing out and NC licensing is bogus and I wasted lots of time. So be wary, I should have done more investigation. Obviously, I do not recommend them.

They could only get the can lights (3) in before they had to go to another job, promising to be back the next day to finish up (I only paid them a portion), Luckily they came back because one of the lights fell out of the ceiling. They fixed it and put the fan in that room. The next room was only changing the fan out. They stopped after getting it mounted and said there was a part that was broke, that they might be able to get one, and that they would let me know in 24 hours. Its now been 10 days. I have texted, called, nothing. Now I have a half-installed, possibly broken ceiling fan up 12 feet in my living room that doesn't work AND the fan in the other room doesn't work now. They seemed like nice people but the work they did and their lack of communication is absolutely the worst I have ever encountered. I paid them what they asked when they asked, they were evidently incapable of this simple job. Don't bother.
