I've used Best Electric a number of times and will only use them exclusively. They've done projects necessary at my house but why they're so standout is what they do in the community and for the less fortunate. In 2020, my best friend's 13 year old son tragically lost his life, and I had to go in with restoration experts to desperately try to get the house not to be the scene she had left when she was able to return. During the restoration process we discovered a number of plumbing and electrical issues and me and some friends desperately called whatever professionals we could. (The plumber I knew who I used to work with responded "I don't work on weekends unless I have to" when we were having a 13 year old's funeral the next day, but that's another story / review. We were *paying* people, not asking for anybody to do their jobs for free but Best Electric swooped in and took care of everything gratis when they heard of the tragedy and this mother's grief. One of the young men doing the labor was also an amazing talented musician and wrote a song for the young man who lost his life. It's coming up on Mother's Day, and I will never forget Best Electric's contribution to healing above and beyond just being stellar at the service they provide.

They knew in advance that that is all that I needed done, and yet they sent two technicians on a job. The technicians were done in 10 minutes,. When they showed me the bill, I was shocked to see they were billing me for 2 hours, times two technicians! The bill was for more than $360! I complained, called their manager, who was very dismissive and did not want to back down, although I had screenshots of when I had called him in the morning (because they were late coming in) and knowing that it was now still LESS than ONE hour since then. The manager ended up lowering the bill to charging me for "only" two hours on one technician and one hour for the second technician, so the bill came down to $260. For the work that took them 10 minutes. I have used Best Electric in the past, and this had never happened before. I was always treated and charged appropriately. After today, I will never call them again.

I requested during normal work hours. There was a technician (JR Bishop) sent by noon the next day. Unlike most experiences, JR came in and found something very simple that was wrong and fixed it within 10 minutes. Something a technician would have to do but it was not a sales pitch to have more done. Since the service was top quality, I requested that he perform a normal maintenance and he did a top quality job. I would highly recommend this company, because it is obvious that quality and client service is practiced from all aspects of the Company.

Then they tried to sell me a service plan and quoted me on a whole new system. Oh yeah, THEY DID NOT FIX ANYTHING. They charged me $500 for a part that was supposedly bad, then they wanted to charge me $1500 to "braze on the new part, drain and refill the system". Three guys were there for 3 hours, AND THEY DID NOT FIX ANYTHING. So I said no and wanted a second opinion. The new service guy (just one) fixed it in less than a hour and charged $250. They are incompetent or scam artists, or both. Use at your own risk, or wallet size.

After the Kincaid fire, we had to replace our attic insulation. Once that was decided, we then…read morechose to add air conditioning due to the increasing summer temperatures. We were only going to add AC to our bedroom then decided that since the entire attic was opened up, we would add it to the main living areas as well. Kevin, one of the 2 owners, looked the project over and came back with his design and suggestions to further reduce the temperatures in the attic via his "green suggestions." We thought, this guy knows how to engineer a system, he is really into tweaking the design to maximize the air flow and minimize the sound and keep us involved in the process, so that we felt, they want us happy with the outcome. His partner, JP, did all the installation and again he showed us everything. He wanted approval on all aspects of what they were going to do and how they were going to do it. Where the equipment would be located and how to minimize all this new stuff being installed against our home and make it blend in with what we already had so it didn't scream AC. And of course, where to put all the vents and minimize their instrusion. At the end of day, it couldn't have been a better fit....they were the best company for our job and we thoroughly enjoyed working with them. We had been without a working air conditioner for 2 weeks through the Home Warranty agency. They helped us get our service contract switched from Clarksburg to Seabolts who were there to replace the compressor within 2 days. Not only was the man kind, patient, and knowledgeable, but he told me to take out a pen and paper and write down what he was telling me. I took diligent notes, he explained throughly, and we talked for a length of time as he made sure to thoroughly understand and take care of my needs. Once the phone-call was finished, I felt knowledgeable about my problem and how to proceed in fixing it. The real kicker is, not one part of the resolution benefited the man financially. He took the time to teach me and help me with only the intent and desire to help; he had no financial agenda and was only looking out for what is best for me.
