Cole Thompson was the best! I spoke with many real estate brokers during my search for a first…read moreapartment, and Cole was by far the most knowledgeable about the area and also the kindest. He was calm and patient, responding to all of my emails in a timely manner. When the deal got a little bit bumpy, he was calm. He was never pushy about what sort of apartment I should buy, and he did not try to push my budget into a range that made me uncomfortable. Some of the realtors I met with were not respectful of my budgets or needs as a single female trying to buy my first home. I highly recommend Cole for any home purchases in the Inwood area, which he knows (and respects) better than anyone.

This review is for Louise Pulice…read more Back a few years ago my roommate and I ventured out into the world of living with each other and Washington Heights. After being annoyed by a broker from Manhattan Rentals Louis was a breath of fresh air. He offered me cookies the first time I saw him in their 187th office. He got us a great deal on an apartment and didn't gouge us on his fee. Now we didn't have the best experience with the landlord there, but Louis was always helpful when we called for his advice. P.S. Stay away from 30 Magaw Place. I'm sure he has other lovely listings for you to look at.

This review is for Louis Pulice, one of the agents here…read more After graduating college and getting ready to move to NYC, my best friend and I were looking in the Washington Heights area for a modest 2 bedroom apartment. We were referred to Stein-Perry from many many friends/co-workers, and everyone told us to use Louis, because he was so friendly and great. And let me tell you - they weren't kidding. Louis is so kind and accommodating and really worked within all the ridiculous parameters we gave him. He was always willing to work around our schedules to meet, responded ASAP to our thousands of emails and questions, was available on his office phone or mobile any time of day, 7 days a week. He has a lot of contacts in the Washington Heights area - locksmiths, woodworkers, insurance agents, etc. My best friend and I seriously contacted him so many times for so many random little things here and there, and he always responded and helped us accordingly, willingly, and cheerfully. Like another reviewer has said - he got us a great deal on our apartment and didn't heckle with us on fees and stuff. He even insisted on buying us our first drinks in the neighborhood! I've heard so many nightmare stories about apartment hunting and real estate agents in NYC, but we really couldn't be more pleased with Stein-Perry and Louis! All smiles over here :)

We made the appointment for 4:15pm at 11am this morning. In less than 5 hours to view the apartment, it increased $100 dollars. I thought it may have been an error. No word from Spito Maravegias. After viewing the apartment, I ask for an application. Spiro Maravegias response was "this is the thing" and gave a huff as Spiro Maravegias asked "what is your credit score" as if he premeditated a disappointment. I was ten points below. Spiro Maravegias asked did we spoke about it, "No we did not" was my reply. Nor was it in the description. Spiro Maravegias gave a sad voice and said "well sorry". I dismissed myself by saying have a good day feeling utterly insane for coming. Totally fine. But he didn't bother to say; he would get back in touch if there are other opportunities, if anything comes up, sole guarantee or whatever its called. etc. Why would you invite someone to the viewing without that information. ( Secondly, did you raise the asking price LAST MINUTE, that was beyond strange). Photos for proof below that it was changed in a matter of an hour or so. Better communication and create a better approach when you assume something is up not to your standards.
