We had a *great* experience working with Greg Hudson. Highly recommend…read more We met Greg by chance after requesting a tour of an apartment he was showing (found on Streeteasy). I've had plenty of experience with StreetEasy showings in the past - usually you show up, the leasing agent opens a door, tells you the price and how much you'll owe them for their "opened a front door" broker fee, then you leave. Greg was the opposite. He took us through each apartment and pointed out tons of details (both good *and* bad things), talked us through options w/r/t fees, move-in dates, rent negotiation, etc. He had good relationships with the landlords at each building and was able to talk to us about their preferences, the vibe of the building, everything we could've wanted. He also worked hard to: 1) negotiate a great deal 2) give us several options 3) get everything taken care of quickly to secure our spot 4) make sure we knew exactly what we were agreeing to in every part of the lease *Plus* he followed up with us later to see how everything was going and connect us with our new neighbors (who he already knew). My point is: Greg is really an awesome guy and you'd be lucky to have him help find your next place.

I fully understand that most reviewers…read morewould only go on Yelp to review a building management company if they had a specific complaint, but my experience with EVERY EMPLOYEE at Brodsky has been nothing but overwhelmingly positive and that starts with the District Manager, Adam Crisci who has been pleasant, professional and 100% transparent from our first conversation along with Zayna Wahhab who is responsible for my building Having lived in luxury condo buildings for the previous 10 years, I was a bit hesitant to move to a rental, but to my surprise, this building is actually run better than any condo I have lived in and the building is very well maintained. They have been fantastic thru the entire Covid crisis and have gone thru great lengths to make sure the tenants feel safe and comfortable. In summary, getting honesty and transparency from anyone in real estate can be challenging at times, which makes me all the more appreciative of Brodsky, and I look forward to living in their buildings as long as I am in NYC Thanks again to Adam and his great team !!!!!!!

Only with two individuals have I had issues. Tanya Hornsby and Caroline Bracey are office workers with no customer service skills, they show no respect, and ignore common respect. They immediately demand and attempt a superior position but only put them in an inferior position. Not sure what motivates them. Most recently Caroline Bracey sent me a letter demanding I have a professional inspect my air conditioner. She was not interested in having an interaction but saw an opportunity to a false sense of superiority. She never asked me my version of the situation or what my solution might be, but repeatedly demanded I hire a professional to fix the issue. Other employers are totally respectful and collaborate. Others in my building speak of that office in a negative way.

You pay a lot for a convenient location here and it is NOT worth it…read more -Living The building is old and falling apart. My ceiling leaked, the toilet pipe burst, the bathtub was painted over and peeling, the stove system failed, etc. The appliances, bathroom, kitchen, and gym are all outdated/unkept. The rooms have terrible floorplans- my bathroom door had a hole in it so you could close it all the way since the toilet blocked the door from closing (in hindsight, it was kind of comical). -Security Deposit On top of it all, they failed to give me $300 of my security deposit for "scratched floors," though the floors were that scratched before I moved in. When I contested to Robert, he failed to give me an adequate response and never got back to me after saying he would "look into it." It's not worth fighting for it, but it's just an annoying, shady move. -Move-in I should have known when I moved into this place that it would not be good. There was rotten chicken in the fridge, dirt all over the floor, a gross knife/fork in the bathroom?, and it smelled like wet paint for months. So if you're going to move here for the 24-hour "concierge" (front desk guy asleep/missing most of the time just for you to pick up packages), outdated washer/dryer in building, and convenient location...there are way better options elsewhere. Please avoid this place.

And please replace the sanitary wipes in the gym more than once a month. I'll start with that and see if asking here has any more impact than the petition someone started on one of the bulletin boards last year before I start on the pest control, constant plumbing, and moldy laundry machine issues.

Eileen Rappaport was an absolute pleasure to work with - both my wife and I couldn't have asked for…read morea better agent. Eileen helped us in purchasing our apartment, and given that we were first-time buyers, we really appreciated her patience and organizational skills. She was always attentive when communicating with us & very transparent with what the next steps were at any given point in the process. We really felt she was looking out for us and invested in making the co-op process as smooth and seamless as possible. Just some highlights (amongst many others) that Eileen made possible: she guided us through the board application process, she helped prep us for the actual board interview, and she gave us recommendations on both lenders and lawyers we should reach out to. It really felt like she was in our corner and would go out of her way to help us. We would absolutely reach out to Eileen in the future for any other real-estate related needs and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who is incredibly good at what she does. Thanks so much Eileen!

After a little over a month after that call I went to NYC for a visit and Eileen had apartments lined up. She told me she didn't want to waste my time and she took me to the most desirable location first. I put an offer on one of the apartments that day. The apartment was exactly what I was looking for and more. Within 24 hours I was approved and within a couple weeks I signed the lease. She found me an apartment with a secure entrance, an active superintendent whom we met and took us around to the various apartments that were up for renting at the property. He was super nice, responsive and helpful. So helpful in fact, that when it was time for me to move, he helped move all 12 of my boxes into my apartment that arrived before I did. I was beside myself with joy and relief. Eileen is exactly who you need to help you find a home. She's kind, listens to what you need and treats you like family. I felt like one of her long lost daughters working with her and I knew that my safety and comfort was her top priority. She found me such a phenomenal prewar building with in-building laundry, a gym, secure entrance, organized mailing room, a responsive and incredible superintendent and walking distance to both school and my favorite park in New York. Then, not only that, she gave me recommendations for places to grocery shop, furniture shop, and connected me with a mover. She has everything you need and is a one stop shop. If you need help with ANYTHING, there's nothing she cant help with. If I need to move again I'm 100% using Eileen. I'm so happy she was not only my realtor but my first friend in New York. Thank you so so much Eileen!

Unlike the previous reviewer, this is my primary residence, and I appreciate the excellent security provided by the building staff. I feel safe knowing that random people are not wandering the halls. From my limited interaction with other tenents, I get the feeling they also enjoy living here. My only complaint is the high rent. But, I can't complain much given the large apartment, amenities, and location. My suggestion to the previous reviewer, if you want an apartment for guests, consider purchasing rather than renting.
