After being annoyed by a broker from Manhattan Rentals Louis was a breath of fresh air. He offered me cookies the first time I saw him in their 187th office. He got us a great deal on an apartment and didn't gouge us on his fee. Now we didn't have the best experience with the landlord there, but Louis was always helpful when we called for his advice. P.S. We were referred to Stein-Perry from many many friends/co-workers, and everyone told us to use Louis, because he was so friendly and great. And let me tell you - they weren't kidding. Louis is so kind and accommodating and really worked within all the ridiculous parameters we gave him. He was always willing to work around our schedules to meet, responded ASAP to our thousands of emails and questions, was available on his office phone or mobile any time of day, 7 days a week. He has a lot of contacts in the Washington Heights area - locksmiths, woodworkers, insurance agents, etc. My best friend and I seriously contacted him so many times for so many random little things here and there, and he always responded and helped us accordingly, willingly, and cheerfully. Like another reviewer has said - he got us a great deal on our apartment and didn't heckle with us on fees and stuff. He even insisted on buying us our first drinks in the neighborhood! I've heard so many nightmare stories about apartment hunting and real estate agents in NYC, but we really couldn't be more pleased with Stein-Perry and Louis! All smiles over here :)

We made the appointment for 4:15pm at 11am this morning. In less than 5 hours to view the apartment, it increased $100 dollars. I thought it may have been an error. No word from Spito Maravegias. After viewing the apartment, I ask for an application. Spiro Maravegias response was "this is the thing" and gave a huff as Spiro Maravegias asked "what is your credit score" as if he premeditated a disappointment. I was ten points below. Spiro Maravegias asked did we spoke about it, "No we did not" was my reply. Nor was it in the description. Spiro Maravegias gave a sad voice and said "well sorry". I dismissed myself by saying have a good day feeling utterly insane for coming. Totally fine. But he didn't bother to say; he would get back in touch if there are other opportunities, if anything comes up, sole guarantee or whatever its called. etc. Why would you invite someone to the viewing without that information. ( Secondly, did you raise the asking price LAST MINUTE, that was beyond strange). Photos for proof below that it was changed in a matter of an hour or so. We currently live in Parkchester and we're renting a 1 bedroom terrace apartment. So we were VERY excited when we found the terrace apartment for sale on Trulia. However after making an appointment with Mr. Kumar to view the terrace apartment we also gave him a call 1 hour prior to the appointment to confirm. Guess what happened???? HE NEVER showed US the terrace apartment!!!!!! Please note that we left work hours EARLY to meet him at 3pm in his Parkchester office. Once we were there he told us that he can't show us the terrace apt and instead showed us a different apartment which was on the 5th floor. We were very disappointed! He should have informed us this earlier like when we called an hour prior to confirm the appointment!!!! Once we got there my brother in law who lives in the area showed up to meet up with us. He recently purchased a terrace apartment in Parkchester one month ago from the Parkchester Main Office. We were having a conversation with Mr. Kumar about his experience as a new buyer and Mr. Kumar was being VERY rude and told us that it's false!!! Parkchester does not sale condos! He went on saying how he has been in the business for 20 years and knows what he's talking about. He was basically acting like a total stuck up. He then went on telling my brother in law how he should SALE his condo and make profit CONDO WHICH HE JUST PURCHASED!!!! Anyway this broker was unprofessional, very rude and unethical. I really hope serious buyers don't waste their valuable time with this idiot.
