We had gone to other 2 agencies prior to Trebach and were really given the run around. It was very discouraging. We had our specifications and the other agencies showed us every but what we wanted. Trebach Realty was a breath of fresh air. They are a family business which we later found out were a staple to the neighborhood. We dealt with Pamela Trebach (the daughter). She keyed in on exactly what our needs were. She showed us 10 properties over a period of weeks that were in our price and Bingo! We found a beautiful colonial home. The prior owners lived there for 35 years. The house has great bones and we are in the process of slowly renovating it. We feel that Trebach Realty was "meant to be".

Brown Harris Stevens is a 5 star company and is very famous for the excellent service they provide. At Brown Harris Stevens, we chose to work with Brian Beaudry after seeing him sell a condo in our builidng within a few weeks of listing while others were taking years to sell. We're very glad to have chosen Brian to work with due to his professionalism, polite courtesy, expertise, and availability to communicate any time of day. We also took notice of all the awards he has been winning year after year for selling the most and at the highest prices among his company and among most of NYC agents in general. After placing our condo on the market with Brian, and Brian hosting open houses every weekend (after telling us this is what sells the apartment most) we received 2 offers in 2 weeks, 4 more within 2 more weeks, and 4 more weeks after that. The buyer we chose was our highest offer and had a great mortgage company. We were able to close quickly with Brian participating and supporting us all the way through closing. After closing quickly, we are very grateful to have chosen Brian to represent our sale and the many quick offers we received through his dedication to open houses and persistence in follow ups with viewers. We will absolutely recommend Brian Beaudry to friends and family and anyone else looking for an award winning sales agent. A+ for Brian Beaudry and his excellent office as well. We are ever grateful to him and his company. Check out Brian's Page for more Info: www.bhsusa.com/real-estate-agent/brian-beaudry

I had submitted an offer for a…read moreco-op purchase along with the required paperwork and he came back (in writing, that the offer was accepted), a week later he sent me a "flippant" email saying the seller has accepted an offer and thank you for your interest - nothing more. The most ridiculous show I've ever seen. He spent much of the conversations "trash talking" other very competent brokers in the Riverdale area or bragging about his triplex "apt 14CDE" that he owns on a top floor (who cares) and what relevance is this to the process?. He basically lied to me about my offer getting accepted by the seller and lied about everything else. He couldn't keep track of his lies and even my name (called me Leslie). He couldn't even "grasp" an updated REBNY financial statement with a formula that computes assets / vs. liabilities......and he crossed the line when I showed him a snapshot of my financial investment and questioned it as if it belonged to someone else......he wanted to see the actual statement with my name on it and the account number, really? Deceptive and smarmy is how I would describe him. Remember, this process is about YOU and how a dedicated broker cares about making it happen - not about idiocy. There are many professional brokers in the Riverdale community that operate with integrity and care about working together as a team. Ask around for referrals and beware of these broker's because not all of them are as morally upright as they will represent themselves to be!

AND if you ask for clarification, at least with Usher Kohn, he will raise his voice and tell you how you don't "understand" things and even call you "ignorant"! He would NOT let me talk, and when, after 5 minutes of him talking with raised voice in the phone, I interrupted and said, "so because the rent of this unit is lower than the budget we gave you, you are charging a broker fee to make up for the difference of the actual rent and the budget." He said emphatically, "YES! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT IS!" I said, "so you are up-charging us?" and he said "YES because the rent is low!" Then, because I think he said too much, he scurried and said he had to get off the phone and then he hung up. About an hour later, he calls back and he seems more calm, however still rude in his undertone and how he was addressing me and "attempting" to explain his scam. When I started in on explaining the math that was not mathing, he got very flustered once again and quickly put me on pause for nearly 5 minutes. He came back seemingly calm, but when I returned to my question about the 30+% broker fee, he said to me, "I don't know what you DO for a living, but maybe your budget can't afford this. We sell apartments at much higher prices and we don't usually even bother with these at low rent below market value. You don't understand and you don't know the definition of market value!" We were referred to Stein-Perry from many many friends/co-workers, and everyone told us to use Louis, because he was so friendly and great. And let me tell you - they weren't kidding. Louis is so kind and accommodating and really worked within all the ridiculous parameters we gave him. He was always willing to work around our schedules to meet, responded ASAP to our thousands of emails and questions, was available on his office phone or mobile any time of day, 7 days a week. He has a lot of contacts in the Washington Heights area - locksmiths, woodworkers, insurance agents, etc. My best friend and I seriously contacted him so many times for so many random little things here and there, and he always responded and helped us accordingly, willingly, and cheerfully. Like another reviewer has said - he got us a great deal on our apartment and didn't heckle with us on fees and stuff. He even insisted on buying us our first drinks in the neighborhood! I've heard so many nightmare stories about apartment hunting and real estate agents in NYC, but we really couldn't be more pleased with Stein-Perry and Louis! All smiles over here :)
