I had submitted an offer for a…read moreco-op purchase along with the required paperwork and he came back (in writing, that the offer was accepted), a week later he sent me a "flippant" email saying the seller has accepted an offer and thank you for your interest - nothing more. The most ridiculous show I've ever seen. He spent much of the conversations "trash talking" other very competent brokers in the Riverdale area or bragging about his triplex "apt 14CDE" that he owns on a top floor (who cares) and what relevance is this to the process?. He basically lied to me about my offer getting accepted by the seller and lied about everything else. He couldn't keep track of his lies and even my name (called me Leslie). He couldn't even "grasp" an updated REBNY financial statement with a formula that computes assets / vs. liabilities......and he crossed the line when I showed him a snapshot of my financial investment and questioned it as if it belonged to someone else......he wanted to see the actual statement with my name on it and the account number, really? Deceptive and smarmy is how I would describe him. Remember, this process is about YOU and how a dedicated broker cares about making it happen - not about idiocy. There are many professional brokers in the Riverdale community that operate with integrity and care about working together as a team. Ask around for referrals and beware of these broker's because not all of them are as morally upright as they will represent themselves to be!

During my visit, I clearly informed an associate that I am seeking a one-bedroom apartment and will be utilizing a housing voucher. I also located listings on third-party platforms where the same company was identified as the broker or leasing agent. I provided them with specific unit information that met my needs and requirements. Despite this, I never received any follow-up communication. Each time I contacted them, I was told that someone would get back to me, but I never received a response. Meanwhile, the units I inquired about were eventually marked as no longer available, with no explanation or update provided to me. The lack of communication, especially after disclosing my voucher, raises concerns that I may have been intentionally ignored or treated unfairly. Even when I reply with the following messages I still haven't received any response (I'm feeling a bit confused and concerned. I've asked several specific questions about the units and have not received clear responses, including my request for the location of your office. At this point, I would prefer to speak with someone in person, as communicating only through messages has not been effective for me. Please let me know where your office is located and when I can come in to discuss the available units directly. Due to the lack of responses to my questions, I'm beginning to feel unsure about moving forward, and I want to make sure everything is legitimate before proceeding any further.)

We were referred to Stein-Perry from many many friends/co-workers, and everyone told us to use Louis, because he was so friendly and great. And let me tell you - they weren't kidding. He was always willing to work around our schedules to meet, responded ASAP to our thousands of emails and questions, was available on his office phone or mobile any time of day, 7 days a week.
