Wonderful Venue For Ally The Piper!…read more SITREP Stopped by here this past weekend with my buddies Jefe and Devn to checkout a new heartthrob: ALLY THE PIPER! THE SETUP Goldfield Trading Post is a modest, small venue - more like a country-western dance club, styling itself as an old fashioned 49er-like saloon. What it does, it does well with all the old timey maps, pictures, furnishings, wall decor and just the overall vibe. THE PERFORMANCE STAGE The stage is small, but at least tall enough (2-3 feet risers?) so that we could see Ally, her band and any other performers rather easily over the heads of the other attendees in front of us. The sound system was adequate with basic mic'ing for the singing, but we mainly relied upon the bands own sound systems to hear the instruments. THE BAR If you are mainly in for the drinking, the bar has got you covered with an array of beers, wines and a decent selection of spirits. I got my basic Jack & Diet Coke and after the first two the bartender gave me free refills of Diet Coke after that, so he won a loyal customer! (Tip your bartenders!) SITTING VS. STANDING If you wanted to sit, you really needed to come to the bar-dining area, which, unfortunately, is a separate room from the bandstand where the bands perform. There was a third room on the OTHER side of the band room where the artists could put up their merch tables and people could find a few more seats/booths where to relax. But you really couldn't see the band from this room either. THE LOWDOWN Ally The Piper was an inspired artist to showcase here at Goldfields and for that I am very grateful. Other than that, not sure I would just come here to get a drink and would much prefer to be next door at the Tack Room where you read up on that spot in my companion review.

Ive been to the Sacramento midtown goldfield many times over the years, each time it's been…read moremediocre. I tried liking it more and gave it plenty of chances. The final time i went i was with friends after watching a show that wasn't too crowded. We stayed after and had a few more drinks. The bartender (nice and approachable) let a friend order a drink late until it was nearly their closing time, and not a minute later, security told her to get rid of her drink. They had watched her order the drink and immediately told her to get out before having two sips. That was the last time i went and it left a bad taste in my mouth like their establishment wanted the money but not to allow her to finish a drink shed bought and had been served. And its not like it was after drinking hours, they closed fairly early in comparison to the bars nearby. If they needed people out at a set time more warning should of been given so shed know not to waste her $10. Another thing that i witnessed was the security guard snapped at her mockingly something like drink it and she said i am he said you're not. It was very odd and seemed like a personal catty attack on behalf of the guard. Beyond this, the sound of the shows is generally good, however because the space wasnt made for audio originally it doesnt do justice for the bands. Its an intimate setting, with few choices of seating in the back. The rest is stand only. And to the side is the area where the bands could sell merch. As stated before this place was mid not a first choice as a venue or for a drinking location mostly due to the off-putting atmosphere of being rushed out. Id much rather see bands at other establishments. Its understandable, its hard business to be in. At highest i rate GF midtown 2.5 stars.

The price is reasonable and it's absolutely perfect for my situation! I highly recommend this service and for any valuable fabric furnitures! Love it! Most stores just tell you to redo the entire sofa but mine is a vintage fabric! ! I think these stores just want to warn my money and absolutely have no knowlege of preserve vintage fabric furnitures! Plus the fabric is no longer available , it would have e cost me an arm and a leg to redo it! The appointment is a long wait but worth it! The communication is excellent !!! Keep up the good work! I appreciate the fact that the store is able stitches back( a lot art)! Thank you!

He was very kind, listened to my problem with the recliner, and went right to work. I appreciate how respectful of my home he was and how he didn't want me to lift a finger to do anything to help. He showed me the broken spring after he repaired it, made sure the recliner and sofa set were connected, left the place clean, and even allowed me to take care of a few things before putting it back together, all in a matter of 25 minutes! This is the kind of service that is genuine, founded on good moral ethics, and rare. He was absolutely worth the wait. Highly recommend!
