Fought for days with this place, they refused to return the vehicle racked up 450$ from 3 days... vehicle was stolen. They refused to release it, had to even call sheriff even the sheriff had to tell me repeatedly to release it. They are running scams here a bunch of tweakers. They broke my leakage in my gears and let me drive away after weirdly they got the vehicle to start let me drive away and my vehicle wouldn't stop or go into gears I almost killed my self. It was beyond dangerous. It's unacceptable. I'm sure they are scamming people out of their vehicles. I would not recommend this towing company and I would stay far far away from them. They are dishonest and outright liars. I spoke with them on multiple occasions to retrieve a vehicle of mine that was involved in an accident and towed there due the them having the contract for ADOT. How they got this contract is beyond me. They gave me the run around by saying my insurance has to pay to release, then my insurance tells me this is incorrect. So I call CL King to pay over the phone and they say "you have to pay in person"So I call ahead to inform them I am coming to pickup the vehicle and the guy on the phone says "better be quick".... Little did I know he called a repossession company behind my back to come get the vehicle because CL KIng filed an abandoned vehicle notice. When I showed up to pay the lot storage fees and retrieve the vehicle I am greated by a not so friendly yard guy named Ryan (about 5'5', red hair) telling me to "get the hell off the property" even after I tell him I'm here to pay for the vehicle. He proceeds to be very confrontational and after I step off the property and talk to him yet again, he then tells me "sorry you can't afford to pay your bills, the repo company now has possession of your vehicle and you cannot retrieve it any longer" even though I am still within my 30 day period before the vehicle is actually truly abandoned and there to pay the lot fee in full that they wouldn't accept over the phones days earlier. After this run down and Ryan threatening to call the cops. I then call the fella back on the phone who I told I was headed down there, who proceeds to ignore my call because he knows the situation. Luckily I call from a different number the second time and he picks up immediately and then proceeds to chuckle and say "I didn't have to tell you that I also called the repo company, first come first serve and you were not first" Once again, an absolute racket they are running and I would stay far far away from this company. Especially if you prefer honesty, they definitely don't have it! I talked to an Maricopa County Sheriffs Officer and explained everything to him and he stated "this is not the first time we have had this complaint and they are infamous for doing not so honest things to screw over people for more money". Called the cops on me - great customer service! I asked if I was able to keep my key fob after signing the title over to them, since I saw that they had no use of it. Instead of attempting to explain any policy stating they had ownership over the key fob, David(?) reached into his phone to dial the police, threatened to have me arrested (??) and to close the gates on the car I was driving so he could fine me. Not once did I raise my voice, threaten, become in any way aggressive towards him - if he possesses comprehension skills higher than one of a peanut and any speck of honor, he could confirm my statement himself. read more

I blew one of my tires out after hitting a piece of metal in the road late one evening and needed to have it towed. I thankfully had internet service and searched tow services nearby on Yelp. CL King Towing popped up and had mostly good reviews so I gave them a call and I'm very happy I did. A very kind gentleman from CL King Towing showed up quickly, i mentioned that I was thinking about bringing my car to Apache Tire because they patched a tire for me once. He said he drops cars off there all the time and eased my mind. My car was handled with care and patience. Once we were there he left my car under their camera out back to ensure safety. so my truck was towed and sat on the yard for a few weeks. I've gotten my truck towed before by these guys and paid cash and they let me drive off without it being registered or any of that. so this time I'm expecting same, I paid cash and was thinking I'm driving it off but instead I can't because it's not registered supposedly. so ok no problem that's the law, so I get it towed to my place at a discounted rate. cool! that works! they pull up and it's dark so I don't notice immediately but my windshield is gone!!! once it's on ground fully the bed of my truck is filled with trash, bumpers, headlights, old car parts, trash! and alls they can say is "I don't know" WTF! I called to ask for details about my car and how much it will cost me to take it out there tow yard that day and I was told by one of the workers that my car was on a 20 day holding, that being said I waited the 20 days not thinking anything of it because yes I was in the wrong by getting pulled over and having my car taken, so I wait those 20 days then go back to get my car then they tell me my car was never on a 20 day holding and making it seem like they never told me that and proceeded to tell me "I have no proof of them saying that and to just pay my debt" making me look like the lier and desperate. No one likes to call a tow truck, and I am not the exception, but unfortunately life happens to all of us and I found myself needing a tow for my classic car who decided to stop running on the San tan 202. In the past with tow companies I've come to expect waiting for at least an hour for the truck to show followed shortly by a terrible price to haul the vehicle a relatively short distance. The driver for CL called me to let me know when he'd arrive, brought a flatbed as I requested and loaded my car up very professionally, taking extra care to ensure rear bumper clearance. They hauled my car about 10 miles to my house and unloaded it with they same care. The best part it was a REASONABLE tow fee! Based on past experiences I expected a bill of well over $150. But they barely broke the $50 mark. Should I need a tow in the future I will call CL first! read more

I called these fine folks at 1:30 in the morning. I was told that it would be 20 minutes before they showed up. That was far from the case. They were there within minutes. I was also not charged an arm and a leg. The driver (Roy) was very friendly and helpful. I will be using them again to get my Jeep towed to the repair shop to fix my vehicle. Shawn answered my call today, Saturday. He didn't know the mileage to give me a quote for my tow from Highway 88, almost to Canyon Lake, to Mini of Tempe...but he said to Google it. I did that, called him back and I told him the mileage of 41.5 miles. He gave me the hook up fee of $65 and $4/mile, one direction. So I hired him to do my tow. He was very courteous on the phone. He was just dropping a car off at their yard in AJ and said he would be proceeding directly out. He had to meet my wife Debi, at the car and I was to meet him in Tempe at the Mini Dealership and pay him, since I was in north Scottsdale at the time. His credit card machine wasn't working and so he could only accept cash. When Shawn met up with Debi within 30 minutes, he was very professional, caring and knowledgeable. I use to own a mid-size towing company in Fla years ago, so I appreciate how Shawn handled the pickup of my wife's MINI S and his courtesy extended to her. I met Shawn at the MINI dealership. He had just unloaded the car (not a scratch). Again, on my end, he was a real pleasure to deal with. He quickly explained the history of C L King and how it's still family owned & operated with the daughter of Mr King now continuing to manage the business after Mr. King's passing. Shawn shows great pride in doing his job well...representing the business well.
