Although i have been going to this shop for machine work for quite some time and i've known the…read morepeople there for years and years, since i am becoming a more serious yelper i figured that i need to give this place it's due. Mark, Bryan and the team at Snyder's all do excellent work and as far as i'm concerned they are my go-to place in hawaii whenever i need something done. Of course because there is no track, the business i give to them nowadays is very minimal if any, and i apologize for that, however they were the place where everyone used to (and still do) take their race parts to get work done, I own several other motors and had several other cars I owned that just so happened to come with motors that were built by them, so needless to say, probably three quarters of the hotrod cars that i've ever owned, had Snyder's Machine Works motors in them. If you need performance work, rebuild a head, or even a stock motor, this is the place to go. Yes, I see people saying their prices are a little high, however to me, quality machine work is one of those things where you pay for it one time, because you can get away with cheap, but then you going are going to eat it on the backend when the motor has to come back out of the car. Mark, Bryan, are the best guys to talk to down there, and again, if you need to get quality machine work, this is the place to go!

I need it working as soon as possible and Capitol Auto told me they didn't do transmission repair. They referred me to another business but they wouldn't be able to take me for over a week. I found a place that said they would take it that day and areanged a tow. The tow truck driver told me it wasn't a transmission problem which was good news. Still, I sent it to the shop I had made arrangements with. They took my truck in and called to tell me that it would cost, "at least $3,000" because they were going to have to rebuild the whole back end. It was Friday and they told me they would give me a better estimate on Monday. On Saturday, I received a quote via text for $1,600 which included a $300 diagnostic fee. Anyway, I paid the $300 and had my truck towed to Capitol Auto. They checked it out and found a cable that had come loose. They connected and secured it and road tested the truck. They found no other problems. I asked how much my bill was going to be and they did not charge me! Who could ask for more! Capitol Auto is simply amazing! I plan to continue using their services for many years to come and highly recommend them.
