    Children speghetti and meatballs
    Sherry C.

We stopped here for a quick dinner with the kiddos and was pleasantly surprised by the value and quality of the food we got. Our waitress was Kristine and she was nice and quick. We were seated right away and the restaurant is kid friendly with a doodle sheet and kids menu. We were served with bread and soft butter for the table shortly after seating. The kids menu came with a drink and ice cream and prices ranged between $4-8. We ordered Mac n cheese and speghetti and meatballs for the kids. The apple juice that came with the meal was a nice size cup, not those small kids cups. The dishes were also big enough to have leftovers. The Mac n cheese is ziti with a white cream sauce, not the Craft box Mac n cheese. My kid liked it. As for the speghetti and meatballs, the meatballs were the big size meatballs, so it was plenty for my daughter. For entrees, we ordered White clam sauce with fettuccine and calamari with spicy marinara sauce. They came with soup or salad. The food was decent, but nothing to rave about... 3 stars for the food, but overall experience and value earned this place another star. Nice place for a family meal (with plenty of leftovers) that won't break your bank!

    Big ziti

My husband and I stopped at CJ's. To have some dinner, I ordered the baked ziti. And he had lasagna, we also had onion soup, the soup was very weak, and the ziti for me was that it was over cooked. The sauce was great the next time I go there I think I'll just get a Pizza.

This was 'Thick and Chewy' crust?

Poorly run restaurant. My wife and I have been regular customers for over 8 years and are known by many of the servers. We go on quite times, usually on Thursday when they are open until 9pm, and there are 3 or 4 tables in use in the nice open room. Twice in a row, the servers tried to put us into the claustrophobic area near the kitchen next to a table of loud people with lights in our faces. After asking to sit in the big room (10ft away), we were treated as unwelcomed. My wife refuses to go back. Here's an idea!!! If restricting the service area on a slow night... put little teepee signs on the left 'this area closed' while having a row of tables along the windows on the right available???Recently I got a takeout 'thick and chewy crust' pizza with extra cheese as I've been getting for years, it was nether. Just a plain cheese pizza for $22. Never again... now checking out other area restaurants.

We love CJs - the baked ziti is great! The service is top notch - Sam & Alex were lovely.

I had an Aperol Spritz which I enjoyed. Rigatoni bolognese was very good. It was very noisy at first but as other diners left it really mellowed out. So here I got an upgraded meal: penne pasta putanesca and an arugula salad with pears & pistachios. Nicely done. I'm grateful for at least a meal. Some restaurants, I cannot get a meal, I order 3 side dishes. The back room is nice for parties, a little quieter than the front. Service was perfect. That makes a big difference in the experience. The parking lot adjacent was full, but there is plenty of parking across the street and also on the other side. Bathroom was clean. The birthday girl enjoyed trout, and a small warm chocolate cake with ice cream, with a candle. Delicious! She had to ask the waitress, what is gluten free because the menu is not clearly labeled. I think there is room for improvement, that is easy and cheap. We got a bottle of wine , it was served in regular glasses, we had to request wine glasses for wine. My wife got Swordfish. Enjoyed some and brought home the rest. Asked Google if she could give it to the dog. Google said No! Don't feed your dog swordfish because of the High Mercury! If you can't feed it to the dog, people can't eat it either! So she threw it in the garbage. I think Market Street should re evaluate their menu choices. Also, Market Street could do better than inexpensive pasta for vegans and vegetarians, at this price point. Something with beans or soy meat, vegan Italian sausage, there is so much out there in 2025. We left the 1900's a long time ago. Even the CIA in neighboring Hyde Park is teaching vegan cooking. How about an upgrade? Please? Helpful?

I got more! We were in the back room with a large 2 family party and everyone had a good experience. The staff was attentive and took great care of us. The star of the show for me was the Bianca "Skizza" - Skizzas are what they call their pizza-like experience....super thin dough, not quite NYC style in its taste and texture, but at least as thin with a unique overall texture and flavor to it. The kind of taste that sticks with you and makes you wonder "when can I have that again." I tend to get margherita or a basic tomato cheese situation to suss out any place offering pizza of any kind, but strayed from my comfort level and went for the Bianca which was truly a delicious experience. Gigi Rosemary Fig Jam, Pear, Arugula, Goat Cheese, Mozzarella, Truffle Oil created a super delicious and crave worthy experience. I finished the whole pie by myself with no issues. (Okay, maybe my wife had a slice, it's hard to remember...I just remember every bite being delicious.) There are other vegetarian options including pastas and a lentil soup. Plus a delicious looking "Barbina" salad, and the menu is helpfully labeled with which items are vegetarian. There was something for everyone at Gigi's and everyone in our 16 member+ party was happy to have eaten there.
