Our former 80% gas furnace with an issue was removed, the new high efficiency heat pump was installed using our existing duct work. They explained how it worked, fired it up and we are very pleased with the result. Nate was very knowledgeable, experienced and creative in dealing with our existing system's limitations. Highly recommended! Update: Since last fall we have had a successful heating season with the new heat pump and are now enjoying the cooling benefits during the hottest days of the summer so far. I called around and of course the large chains were busy, and it would be a few days. Or one would charge $375 just to come diagnose. I posted asking for any other recommendations in a local Facebook group and someone mentioned Bob with Rise Up. I called him and he was so genuinely nice. He said he thought he could come check it out later same day. He made time after a very busy day, and I needed a fan motor. Someone was smiling down on me because he had the motor on his truck (he just put it there this morning after having it in his shop for months). He spent 2.5 hours repairing my furnace, and I won't have a second freezing night. His price was more than fair based on what I see online and what others quoted. He was professional, and so very kind - as a woman with no clue about furnaces he took time to explain things and give me all the info and choices. The install of the new system was smooth all the people working on the system were polite and professional. After install I called serenity air because my furnace was not heating after the temperature dropped to 30 they had a technician out within a few hours and fixed the problem immediately. Later after the install I decided the system was just a little too loud for me. The sound didn't bother anyone else in the house and wasn't extreme. While my initial interactions with the owner were rude and unprofessional, his behavior in person was downright alarming. I was connected through my insurance company, and after a week of being ignored, he finally showed up. Once inside my home, he became extremely aggressive and combative. He is a complete lunatic who seems to have no control over his temper. We got into an argument because of his dismissive attitude, and his behavior escalated to the point where I no longer felt safe having him in my house. I eventually had to force him to leave because he refused to act like a professional or respect my property. It is terrifying to think that insurance companies are sending someone this unstable into people's homes. Do not hire this man. Mike the the tech showed up, looked at the furnace and said he had to go to his van to get his tools to track down the problem. He was asked here to give me a bid on a NEW furnace NOT to fix the old one. I asked him at what point does the free estimate end and the charges begin. We talked a little more and I told him that I have 4 companies coming out to give me bids for the new furnace and he said "4 bids...you called 4 companies"? I said yes because I wanted to shop for the best price. He again said "4 bids?? Would you go to 4 different doctors to get their opinions too?" I said yes I would. He gave me a nasty look and I said thank you for coming. Goodbye. He left mumbling something and I am sure it wasn't nice what he was mumbling.
