Well, I have to say that my family purchased take out from this place quite often and really liked the food. It always tasted fresh and hot. Then I made the mistake of ordering a dessert--the cheesecake they said was from The Cheesecake Factory. When we went to eat this dessert it was disgusting. It looked and tasted like a combo of freezer burn (maybe?) and just plain being old and disgusting. I phoned them to discuss it. As I usually do when calling to complain, I opened with a compliment, in this case mentioned I was a regular customer, and then reported my findings. The girl (an All American if you will) who had taken my order and checked me out was the one who answered the phone. I heard her have a conversation with the owners. They refused to get on the phone, refused to apologize, etc. I heard them say that if I bought it and ate it I couldn't return it. They also tacked on (through the middle-man girl handling the call) that if I wanted to get in the car and bring it back that "they would look at it." I was also told that they don't do refunds. Huh? Alas, we've been so turned off by this experience that we haven't been back since. Talk about shooting one's self in the foot. with being cheap. I wish they would have just made it right by offering a refund over the phone which they could have done very easily. So, they made the money off their disgusting cheesecake but lost me as a customer. read more

Been here twice...once for takeout and once for lunch.the spring rolls and fried rice are very tasty.the general tso chicken was a bit gummy to me....but i will return to try another dish. The service was good. i also like that they have iced green tea! Will update this review after i try other dishes. read more

My wife and I have been craving really good Chinese and this place definitely fits the bill. The food tasted right and incredibly fresh, unlike other Chinese restaurants where some of the food (sauces) can taste like dish wash water. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, crunch and flavorful and the meats were fresh tasting as well! And the fried rice was spot on. We ate in and ordered off the lunch menu and found the portions to be just the right size. The owner was very nice and attentive and the restaurant was clean, nicely decorated and comforting. This is the best chinese food I have ever eaten. Ill never go back to the other places, they just aren't as good. The orange beef is so flavorful and delicious, the amazing chicken is like heaven in your mouth, and the crispy honey chicken is incredible. Cc wok is a nice small resturaunt with welcoming staff. Our server was very warm and welcoming by introducing himself and seating us right away. I ordered the brocolli with chicken and my mother ordered the gluten free brocolli and shrimp. It was so nice to have gluten free options at an affordable resturaunts. Our food came out quickly and was delicious ! I will defintely be back. read more

Have been there several times and like it a lot. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The decor is tasteful and they have comfortable booths. The Orange Beef is especially delicious, (tangy, orangey, spicy) and you can let the wait staff know if you would like it a little extra spicy. The "spicy" dishes are otherwise, not as spicy as I would have expected. The Crispy Honey Shrimp is great too and pretty to look at. I look forward to trying more items on the menu. read more

We live close by and decided to give CC Wok a try in our pursuit for reliable local takeout. Not impressed! Fried rice was bland and the chicken lo mein tasted so badly, I threw it in the trash after one bite. (The chicken was fatty and the sauce was uninteresting.) Guys,I seldom complain but...My wife and I came in for lunch yesterday,Valentines day,and when we were told lunch is special today all will be dinner size.WOW!! that's great.So we ordered and really enjoyed our meal.It was so big we had to take some home.Well,when the bill came we were charged for dinner and our Spring roll and soup cost extra.SHOCK! I guess we missed the part that there was no lunch specials that day?I really think it would have been a good idea to put a note or sign up telling everyone that the lunch menu is not offered today.Dinner only. A great little find! On an errand in the area around late lunch time, we came across this good little restaurant. There was one customer ordering take out. We were the only two for in-house service. We ordered three dishes from the lunch menu: broccoli w/ garlic sauce, extra spicy; chicken with broccoli; chicken with cashew nuts. Expecting standard small Chinese restaurant preparation, I personally was surprised (and grateful) that the food was not mouth searingingly salty! The chicken was perfectly cooked, well seasoned and tender. The garlic sauce was perfect with the broccoli (although, the extra spicy was not as fiery as I might have wanted). Our server/chef/owner was very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. AND! My salt sensitivity was not assaulted (un - a - salted)! Though a good distance from this restaurant, we will definitely make the trek to revisit C.C. Wok! read more

ok, for those who follow my reviews, you know that i am both accurate and do not embelish my reviews so here goes. We as a company have gotten food from this establishment several times. RARELY is our order ready when we go to pick it up. They always tell you 15 minutes,,,,,,,,,,,it's NEVER been ready in 15 minutes and to the point many times they have not even started cooking it until we arrive to pick it up. This pisses off people who are on a time issue for lunch. A few months ago I placed an order for myself and my salesman to pick up. When I got back to work and opened up our order both orders were incorrect. I called them and got "this has never happened before, blah blah and i literally had to repeat 4-5 times what we had ordered and what we had received. the lady on the phone told me to bring the receipt the next time and they would "make it good". ( I did not bother to ask what that meant and in retrospect, should have). A couple days ago we decided to call in an order again. I explained to the man who answered the phone that we had gotten a botched up order and that the woman said she would "make it good" next time we came in. blah blah. This conversation literally took 15 or so minutes over the phone with repeated reading out of what the order was, what we got to the point i wanted to reach through the phone and punch the guy. IT DOESNT MATTER FIX IT AS PROMISED. He wanted to argue with me over and over about how that never happens and debate that it didn't happen. I explained to him SEVERAL times that I had the receipt and we wrote on it beside the original order, what item we got instead. To keep you from losing your pulse reading this tiring story, I placed the new order and told the man that my salesman was bringing the wrong old receipt with him when he came to pick up todays order. My salesman got there and surprise THEY HAD NOT MADE THE FOOD, the employee actually said " we did not think you were real, we have a lot of BLACK people who do this, ............................ my salesman was dumbfounded and did not know what to say about that. He also berated my salesman because it took us so long for us to come back and place another order. My salesman replied "well we don't frequent eateries that typically give us bad service and wrong food". All in all this was very poor customer service, bad attitude and the food is just "ok". It is not like this was the best Chinese food on the planet. Let's all face it, this town is loaded with Chinese eateries, you have to be EXCELLENT to stand out in this town. Jumbo Shrimp With Broccoli, Sweet & Sour Chicken, General Tso's Chicken - I've eaten here three times now over the past several months, and only on one occasion did I have a server that was pleasant to deal with. The food is nothing great (not that there is any Chinese food in Midlothian that is better), but I've decided it just isn't worth spending my money here anymore. I happened upon this restaurant over a year ago and was ecstatic to find a Chinese restaurant with such good food. Given the quality of the food I didn't mind taking a "road trip" to pick up Chinese food when I had a taste for it for enjoyment at home. However, after my two most recent experiences, especially last night, I will not be returning. It is not unusual for a restaurant to have an off night so I attributed my next to last visit to CC Wok to that factor. The food I had that night, shrimp in lobster sauce, was mediocre at best. It didn't have much taste and the shrimp were considerably smaller than the restaurant served in the past, and over cooked. The shrimp fried rice had tinier shrimp and not very many. Last night I ordered chicken with broccoli and the chicken was not fresh; quite a bit rubbery and it tasted like it had been cooked more than once. I decided to call and tell the owner about my experience. The person who answered the phone insisted on handling the call herself and she repeatedly stated that the "food is fresh." She had the audacity to say that the consistency may have changed during my drive. At some point in the conversation she put me on hold, reportedly, to speak with the owner. When she returned to the phone she restated her original comment: "the food is fresh." How outrageous! Not once did she appear remotely concerned about my experience and that I was displeased...no apology, nothing. Given the position she took I told her I would write a review on line and she said to 'go on.' Although I've found the staff at the restaurant to be very pleasant in the past, I'm thoroughly disappointed in the very poor customer service that I received last night as well as the substantial difference in the quality of food that was served. read more

This place was awful. That absolute worst restaurant experience I've ever had. The Chinese was not very good but was tolerable. My husband and I went and did not like the food but didn't want to say anything. Just wanted to be polite but THEN there was a bug in my husbands rice! So we politely told our waiter that there was a bug in the food and we just couldn't eat it. He immediately went crazy saying "I don't live like this and I own two Mercedes and live in a big house!" He went on and on about how he made good money? I am not sure why. I think to say that they weren't just some low income restaurant. I mean why would I care? I obviously came here because I like Chinese. He then preceded to go to the back kitchen door and scream "you are fired" to one of the employees and came back over to tell us that he fired the cook, which he clearly didn't because no one ever came out of the back or responded to him. I wouldn't want him to fire someone anyway! I think he was trying to put on a show like he thought that's what we would want, which was insulting if you ask me. It honestly was the most insane experience I have ever had!! Would never go back there again. You couldn't pay me to go there! By the way he still made us pay for our food that we didn't even eat...
