Wife was worried about radon and wanted a lid on the sump, instead of trying to figure it out…read moremyself I hired True Plumbing. Initial quote was for $510 to retrofit a lid and replace the two older check valve's. This price is with me purchasing both the lid and check valves ($110). So I was expecting to spend approximately $620 to get this job done. The first appointment they replaced the check valves and told me the lid I bought (I bought two different sized lids) wouldn't work. They told my wife we needed a 19 inch lid. Charged $244 for that visit and work. I bought a new lid and called them out again. The lid also doesn't work and my wife tells them to just install it, which I acknowledge she shouldn't have done. There was also a copper line that was plumbed in so out of plumb I'm actually surprised it was left like that. Lastly I was charged an additional $466 for this second visit. So I'm out of pocket approximately $830 (including the $110 I spent on parts) for a job I believe was poorly done. I let the point of contact know I wasn't happy with the work done and he said he stands by their work.

It's basically the same, except we get discounts on repairs. It is well worth it to keep your HVAC running in tip top shape. He did not try and tell me I need something changed on my AC, unlike other companies have told me. I now know my AC will be humming right through these hot and humid Illinois summers. A friend recommended Aspire, and I was able to get ahold of someone almost immediately, text with photos of the issue, and get recommendations for immediate next steps. They were out the next day to help manage what turned out to be an ancient disposal, and gave good advice about the options. They were communicative, and back again later in the week to install a few new faucets to finalize things, and I was just so happy with how quick, communicative, and thoughtful they were, especially in dealing with me primarily but also allowing my father, who is in his 80s, to drive as much of the decision making as possible. It's hard to find service like that, and I wish we could bring Aspire back to our home on the west coast with us, especially since we're now dealing with our own plumbing issues at a much greater cost. Grateful for their work, their value, and their integrity!

The project went very smoothly given the age of our house and a few obstacles that presented themselves along the way. Their whole staff was very patient as I asked an enormous amount of questions. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter for small or large jobs. They gave me a free estimate for the work, showed up when they said they would, followed through with quality work, and at the end I paid the amount we agreed upon.

This left a good first impression, and we proceeded with a recommended camera inspection which revealed damage to a sewer lateral that needed repairs. Naturally, we agreed to have them promptly fix the issue and gladly paid a deposit on the work (to start the following day at the latest). When Mr. Rooter failed to return to our home over the following two days (while we did not have working plumbing)! we called to cancel the work and hired another vendor (who promptly completed the repair for us). This occurred in November 2025 and we still have not received a refund for the deposit (thousands of dollars) as of April 2026 despite repeated written and phone requests. If you do decide to work with this company, please avoid giving them a deposit/down payment until you are satisfied with a completed job. The gentleman who showed up late in the evening for the emergency call really helped us out, but that's not enough to make up for the subsequent failures and dishonesty.

My home is in Danville, but they do provide plumbing service in Danville, IL…read more They are a breath of fresh air, and provide the type of plumbing service that I remember from my childhood. They typically come either same day or next day, with absolutely no additional emergency service charge. The focus is on taking the appropriate time to properly diagnose your plumbing issue, then providing you with the right fix. Then, to top it all off, their charges are very fair and reasonable. Unlike many other services, there is NO attempt to overcharge. In fact, they are probably undercharging as any other plumbing service would charge much more for the exact same service, some probably two to three times as much. So, do yourself a favor, if you have a plumbing problem to fix, give them a call. They will come out fairly promptly, give you the exact fix you need, and charge you a very reasonable price. Avoid the other competition that loves to price gouge customers.

I called to get clarification and they basically told me that the plumbers "set their own rates." So what good is getting a quote at all??? Basically, they just charge what they want. I will never ever use this service again. Plenty of other honest plumbing services in the area.
