After more than 25 years of use my old garage door opener said bye, bye. Just up and quit. I called C & M Garage Doors because I had used them in the past. Within just a couple of hours they arrived and replaced my old unit with a new, more modern unit. The installer was cordial and got right to work. I tried to get the built-in-car door remote to work but failed miserably. They sent another tech and walked me through the many steps to get everything working as it should. I had a Genie garage door installed less than a year ago. I made an adjustment according to the manual because the door did not close completely. When I opened the door and then closed it the gear strip snapped. C&M charged $200 to fix and would not stand behind the defective unit. I was told to make a claim to Genie, which I did but Genie did not accept C&M as an authorized installer so they would not stand behind the product either. read more

Sent a technician that had little to no experience. Mine was the first job on his own after just 2 weeks of OJT. Was supposed to replace two matching doors. Did not even realize he had come out with 2 totally different doors. The technician caught a cable in the sealing gasket around the door; he just kept pulling on it until I told him to stop and I looked to see where it was caught. He almost damaged the seal gasket and would have if I had not intervened. The technician removed trusses from our old door, he was supposed to transfer them to the new door but instead put them in his truck and took them away to be trashed. The technician could not figure out how to adjust the opener bracket he put on the door so it would closed all the way. I had to show him how to do it His hands were black from grease which he go all over our new white door. It did not all come clean. I requested to office manager that a different technician be sent to install the second door (once they got the right one) but she refused. Fortunately this technician quit the company the day before he was supposed to return. But he was only a little better than the first guy. The second technician installed the right door. However he put the door opener bracket off center from the opener rod. I fixed it myself after he left. My watching his work clearly bothered him, but given the previous tech's poor work it was totally necessary. The new door was binding at the bottom and would not close all the way. His "solution" was to increase the downward pressure of the closer to its maximum. A solution that could damage or possibly injure anything the door may hit o the way down. Finally the company owner came out (third trip and the third time I had to leave my own work to be there) to return with the trusses for the first door. A few days later the door again would not close. The owner came out again and actually corrected the binding issue. He also reset the downward pressure of the door to a more sensitive position. I am very disappointed in the quality of work, professionalism of the company and the fact that C & M office manager refused to send a different technician after the first person demonstrated a total lack of competency in the work to be done. The job should have required a single visit; it took four to get things right. read more

We had a heavy single car door with a broken spring. C&M arrived same day. Made the repair in one hour. Reasonable price. I had used them in 2013 on a different door and was pleased again this time. I will use them again. read more

Called asking about a part for my garage door. The guy who answered was fairly rude, wouldn't give me a price for the part, and called my door setup "stupid" at least 3 times during the conversation. I had used them in the past and was satisfied, but will never call them again. He really acted like they didn't want my business even when I was willing to have them come out (service call plus part), still would not give a price on the part. read more

His 30+ years of experience in carpentry, welding, house construction, and too many other areas to mention made a huge difference in the repair. I called about pricing on new garage doors and I got a quote over the phone. Nice and easy. However, when I called back to go forward with the service they didn't ask how many door openers I needed so when the tech came out to install them he had to use some he already had in his truck. I don't care that they don't match and I appreciate his help in making sure we had enough. read more

Had troubles with C&M Garage Doors at first with an older system being installed and didn't realize it until we had troubles with it not working time and time again. Short version of story- first it was said it was our framing and we got smacked with an unexpected bill for it. Then had troubles again, but it was past warranty and we went with another company to get a second opinion. The whole circuit board ended up being bad and we had to go through the manufacture to get the parts. We feel much better with the understanding and being in agreement with C&M Garage Doors that indeed the opener was older and a mistake to be installed. The owner called and was very respectful and wanted to make things right. The main issue we were upset with is being corrected to have a newer opener being installed as it should have been before. We also appreciate the business going above and beyond with the pledge to make sure openers work with the new system and another year labor warranty for the new system. This exceeded our expectations and we are pleased to be able to work everything out. read more
