Supposedly this supermarket has only been open for a few years but my first impression is that it looks like it has been around for years. Perhaps it's the lack of decor that makes it seem older than it is. The no frills approach reminds me of Sunny Supermarket and Tone Tai Supermarket. This is a rather large supermarket that has produce on the left when you enter, followed by housewares. There's many aisles in the centre with sauces, noodles, snacks, drinks, etc. The bakery is at the back with the hot food (BBQ, dim sum) section on the right along with a separate cosmetics/skincare section. What sets it apart from other Chinese supermarkets is the variety of Asian products that it offers. There's products from China, Japan, Korea, The Philippines, etc.

Ecstatic to get a clean, large scale Asian grocery store into the area!! Great selection of produce at a better price than the other large chain down the street. Decent hot food section where you can get Asian BBQ or even a bowl of noodles. Also a decent baked goods section. It's like a T&T.. but uhh.. it's a C&C.

New addition to the Foodymart empire. C&C Supermarket is your typical asian supermarket with the hot foods, bbq meats, produce, fruits, meats butcher(non halal), seafood market plus your typical frozen, canned and packaged noodles to your liking... Went there for soft opening to take a look. Not too shabby and will be back to explore once the shelves fill up more and see the weekly special offerings. The bbq and hot foods section was not open yet and the review will be continued...

This is a big-box Chinese grocery store. It has all the products that any big grocery store would have but of course more of the Chinese variety. The store is very clean and nicely organized.

This property was completely redeveloped with a huge Asian supermarket; I used to attend events at a banquet hall facility on this same lot before the tear down. A friend told me about this place so I took the proper COVID-19 precautions before I ventured here for the first time. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was the sheer size of the store! (...and it reminded me of Knob Hills Farms...) Aisles are wide and product selection is good. Staff are helpful if you can't locate what you are looking for or just look up at the large signs at the main entrances for each aisle. (...and take note of surveillance cameras everywhere...) You'll find a hot prepared foods department where you can get takeout for a quick meal. Beyond that, there is a personal care/beauty section plus lotto & customer service counter as well as all the traditional departments found in a large format supermarket. Prices are competitive with T&T Supermarkets and Hong Tai Supermarket; some lower, some higher. Checkout was quick for my $124 shopping trip and I know the cashier was surprised when I said thank you to her for bagging my purchases; there was a noticeable delay before she replied back. Many shoppers aren't kind! I plan to return to C&C when I'm in the Don Mills Rd and Eglinton Ave E area. Back to the surveillance cameras...an elderly man was caught for shoplifting and detained by 3 staff in the next checkout lane!

This grocery store is really large and has a wide selection. The way the it's laid out is a bit hard because it's hard to navigate the aisles with the dry grocery however it's like that at most Asian stores. I really like how they have a huge produce selection with lots of veggies from different parts of Asia, not just China. You can also find a large tofu and fresh noodle section which is also great to fill on all of your needs. I always love to check out the house section of these stores and am always so tempted to pick up a few things. There are lots of things that I remember from my childhood like thermoses and spoons. I also really like how they have a giant beauty section with its own check out. Finally, the bakery section was a bit disappointing bit it might be due to current events so I won't judge it too harshly on that aspect alone. I would definitely visit again.

The cooked foods is an excellent value for money and opportunity to try a variety of dishes. The dining area has chopsticks, plastic forks / knives /spoons, and it can get busy. If you are looking for a quick meal and cost effective, look no further! I think the kitchen closes around 6pm, and some of the cooked foods become available as packaged food.

- New Chinese supermarket, located at the former banquet hall location, not many people know about this so less crowded now. - closest rivals - Sunny - just south of Eglinton E on Don Mills and another on Peanut plaza just north of Finch E on DonMills. - Great alternative to T&T (not sure what C&C stands for) - Clean, spacious, wide aisles, good signage - Has almost anything one would expect in a Chinese supermarket - Hard to see from Don Mills-Easy to miss - A great addition to the neighbourhood

They will also slice/dice for you for as well and if you want sushi rice they charge $3 for it. service was super fast. They sell tuna, fatty tuna, scallop, uni, etc as well in the fridge but they do have sets rolls if you are into as well. They sell japanese snacks and frozen goods as well. Parking was free, take out only, no restroom. Ambiance was jsut a nice causal market vibes.

During my time there I bought some Japanese pasta sauce as well as an already premade chirashi bowl. Although it was busy, the cashiers and staff were efficient. I saw that there were also people picking up sushi platters, likely something they preordered before. Overall, a great Japanese store selling a variety of items as well as fresh sushi!

Lobsters were mainly in coma. ;) The floor was wet and slippery as you walked in. With this pricing, you can easily find a lot of good choices in Scarborough better than this, even from other Asian markets that carry seafood these days. Not recommended.

Was looking for a lobster for Thanksgiving dinner…read more Once in the store, we were surrounded by all the different tanks full or live lobsters - I had no idea what I was supposed to do first. What size should I buy for two? What is the best one for simple steaming? Where is what I am looking for? What is the difference among these different tanks? A gentleman who was working here caught me and answered all these questions, and located a perfect size, super lively lobster suitable for steaming! He was knowledgeable about different cooking options, and as soon as he knows we are Japanese, he showed me different sashimi grade seafood and handling tips. We bought - A live lobster (1.5lb) about $30 - 6 sashimi grade shrimps $ less than 10 He was so kind to make sure all the shrimps are the same size. Sashimi was beautiful, fresh and naturally sweet, melt on the tongue. I deep-fried the shrimp head and tail as the gentleman suggested - crispy, thin! And lobster was full of meat, juicy and perfect size for two of us. Full! Yum!! Cant wait to go back again!!!!

A sign caught my eye "Live lobster". Oh yeah, I'm going in! And no, I didn't want to take him home and boil him alive; I just enjoy watching live sea creatures in an aquarium. This store is run by a lovely couple, Lorne and Marilyn, who are experts in customer service and whose family have run this business for 42 years. With all the pictures I took inside their store I thought I owed it to them to purchase something. I told Marilyn that I wasn't intending to stop in so all I had was $10; one downside of this store is that there are no price lists or price tags on anything. Marilyn suggested a beautiful thick Salmon filet. When I arrived home, I seasoned the filet and steamed it, taking care not to overcook it. I served it with oriental noodles and corn because that's all I had available. It was enough for a nice light lunch for me and my hubby. The Salmon was the tastiest, most delicious, mouth watering filet I have ever had at this price point in Toronto. I'm from Southern California so fresh seafood is abundant and cheap. The times when we are far away from the coast I rarely buy seafood at the store or order seafood from a restaurant because it's just not fresh; if it's fresh, it costs an arm and a leg and an organ or two. I will never buy fresh or frozen fish anywhere else. If you are any where close to the corner of Victoria Park and St. Clair, then you must visit this quaint nautically themed seafood market. Services listed on their website: - A selection of fresh and frozen seafood, arriving daily. - Cooked Lobster and Seafood Platters - Made to Order. - Reserving or Picking out their own Lobster, Fish Fillet or piece of Newfoundland Salt Beef. - Various Maritime products including Purity Candy & Cookies, Fries and Gravy Chips, Pineapple Pop, King Cole Tea, Mt. Scio Savoury and a selection of jams, seasonings and sauces. - Dinner party equipment rentals.

They also sell saltwater taffy and other kinds of candies - bullseye sugar & molasses. They have Fraser's meatballs & gravy, a wide selection of Purity crackers and syrups, and original Old Bay seasoning! That's almost impossible to find in Canada. They've got all of the seasonings you could ever possibly need for seafood. This is an undiscovered gem in the heart of Scarborough! Definitely recommended.

After the event was over, I did some browsing around the supermarket before I left. It was my first time at any Galleria Supermarket. Think T&T Supermarket, but with Korean goods. I dig supermarkets and this one was cool. It's funny that I pass by the Galleria on Steeles Avenue West, just west of Yonge Street, every week after work. I've never gone in there, mainly because I'd have to do a left turn from Steeles Avenue West. When leaving this place, I'd need to do a left turn without a set of traffic lights. Otherwise, I'd have to do the around-the-block set of right turns. It's just seems so inconvenient. If I were heading westbound, I'd have better luck. I do like this Galleria. There was a lot of parking. I am also familiar with the area, with California Sandwiches around the corner. I saw massive tubs of kimchi. When you see so many varieties of kimchi and the vessels to have it ferment if you make your own, you know that you're in a good supermarket with everything that you need. I liked seeing travel utensil kits with chopsticks, spoons, and more. I got stuck in the housewares section, looking at plates, bowls, kettles, frying pans, rice cookers, and more. I love small appliances. It was so tough tearing myself out of this part of the store. I had a can of Sac Sac from the event. It had peeled grapes in it. It was so good that I know I'll return to this supermarket just for this product alone. So good! I frankly would like to live in this supermarket. It has heat-and-eat items. There's also a food court that I need to explore. It's a huge store! I loved everything that I saw. I'll be back to buy and be broke afterwards. (447)
