Please don't let one bad review deter you from trying this place. I've been searching for a place to take my Porsche to have an oil change. 2 other companies quoted me 170+ dollars for labor even after bringing my own oil and filter. I walked in at 8 am today, asked for a price confirmation for the oil change. 30 bucks. That's it. I had a friendly conversation about how we had just moved here from Fayetteville, NC. I didn't even tell him we were military, and when I got the invoice, he had already tacked on that military discount. It's people like this that you want to trust. I took my car in for an oil change and while it took a good bit longer than the quick change places, I was satisfied and decided to use them for other services as needed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got some friendly reminders that my car was due for an oil change[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a couple of "friendly reminders", I took it in but the oil change facility office was closed, so I left and came back a second and third time. The third time, I went to the office and was told they had no idea how long I would have to wait. I again left, went to a fast change place and was in and out in 15 minutes [[HIGHLIGHT]]I sent several "friendly responses" but never got a response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Apparently, reminding and responding don't mix. By far the worst experience I've ever had at a mechanic shop. I was stationed at Fort Gordon for the Army and had my car break down. I needed a vehicle to get to training every day and when I asked if I were to go with you how long would it be. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The guy didn't even have an answer and made it seem like multiple weeks, when I showed concern about me needing a car the guy at the front desk had the worst attitude and was an a**hole about them being so busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I gave it to them for the inspection I asked how much the inspection would be and said it would range any where from $80-$160 depending on how long it takes them. I got a notification 15 minutes after their shop opened that they completed the inspection and I was charged the full amount and other people I asked about the issue they knew just from me telling them. I then received my quote of over $3000 and said I need to get it done or my car won't ever run again. So with texting people I know and watching a couple YouTube videos I got it done in about 4 hours and about $70 in materials. This all happened in January and it is now July and my car is still running. For over 30 years, my family and I trusted C&C Automotive with our vehicles. My father grew up with the owner, Aaron Clements. As a kid i would play with the motor cut-aways in the waitinf room while my father spoke with the auto techs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]C&C was once the shop that treated us like family; they even let me work on my own '66 Mustang in one of their bays on Telfair back when i was in high school[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Nearly every visit to C&C Martinez now seems to end with another issue, another return visit, or even new damage to my vehicles. Routine services--like oil changes or cabin filter replacements--have turned into frustrating and disappointing experiences that i often tell myself i should have just taken care of myself. Here are just a few examples of what I've experienced recently: * During a cabin filter change on my truck, they broke the filter door clean off and left it unrepaired. This is something that should be simple, yet they handled it with carelessness and never made it right. * After an oil change on my wife's car, I noticed oil dripping in the driveway. When I checked, I saw the splash guard wasn't even secured properly. I took it back, and they "re-attached" it--only for it to fall again later, as they hadn't really fixed it at all. On another visit, they claimed the splash pan was damaged beyond repair, yet somehow, when I asked for it back, they managed to reattach it. I am sure they techs just get annoyed habinf to remive them for oil changes. * This most recent visit: I had yet another oil change done, only to bring the car home and discover an oil leak all over my once spotless driveway. Again, I bring my vehiles in nit because i am not able to complete an oil change, but rather because i dont want the hassle or mess all over my driveway. After bringing the car back yet again, I was told that the drain plug had been stripped. The fix? A $16 charge for a $4 drain plug, and an hour of my time wasted. The frustration I feel isn't unique. While waiting on this last repair, I overheard two other customers having their own issues. One gentleman was frustrated because he hadn't received documentation of an alignment they supposedly performed. When he asked for the printout, they offered to put the cat back on the lift and "show him the current alignment"--a completely unhelpful response since it wouldn't reflect any adjustments actually made. Another couple was dealing with leaks that appeared right after their recent service. This sounded too familiar... The C&C I knew--the one that was thorough, careful, and truly valued its customers--no longer exists. It's been replaced by a shop that seems careless and more interested in getting the next customer in the door than actually delivering good service. Took my car there in November and knew what the problem was and my husband asked them to change all of the plugs and coils and they only changed one so in the first part of February I had the same problem Took it back to them and they made up another reason for the problem,I was charged about $1200 the first time and over $300 the next, never offered to make this right!!! Would give less than a star if possible. Brought my car in to be diagnosed, and they began 'fixing' it before ever calling me. Was eventually called after they found $460 worth of problems. I declined the fix, and they wanted to surcharge me to put the car back as it was. Took it somewhere more reputable and it was a $125 fix. Don't go here. read more

I took my car to their shop with the problem 90% already troubleshoot for them. They charge me $530 to fix a part that ended up being completely inconsequential to the actual issue, despite me already showing and telling them where the issue was. I paid over $500For my car to work for all of 18 hours. When I took my vehicle back to their shop, It was gonna be another thousand dollars for them to fix it. I bought the part for 100 bucks and fixed it myself in under an hour. These guys are crooks, plain and simple read more

Diagnosed my car and then proceeded to tell me I needed a new "top of the line battery", and new serpentine belt that cost 80$ when I didn't and a belt really costs $5.99! Then added another part that I didn't need either! Changed the price to fix it several times. When I said I was gonna pick up my car to take it somewhere else, they tried to charge me to put it back together when I only brought it there to diagnose. And the kicker is, when I got my car back, a hose was broken under the hood. So if your diagnosing my car, why didn't you see the hose was broken too??? Shady shady shady!!! Buyer beware. I took my mercedes here for some minor repairs. I ended up having to take it back on three separate occasions. No one could explain exactly what was wrong with the vehicle. The manager just kept suggesting other fixes for a problem that wasn't really a problem. And the manager is also family so no corrective action will be taken if you want to file a complaint. I currently have brake pads there are below Mercedes standards and they squeek, now will have to pay to get the job done again. If I could give zero stars I would! I was going to use this company to perform an inspection on my Jeep before selling it to a wonderful couple. My Jeep is in perfect running condition but has a rebuilt title. This was not a deterrent for the couple purchasing it from me nor is it for me as I just purchased another car with a branded title and happily drive my 3 children in it. The deal fell through when Tom I believe was his name refused to even look at the vehicle to do a system check and literally told the family buying my Jeep that it wasn't worth their time and money to even bring it in in the first place. This was NOT their place to input their opinion and rather should have taken it to do a proper inspection! I will ABSOLUTELY be telling everyone NOT to use this business for anything! I added this to my google review and after the owner insinuated I was a liar, I thought I would add the review to Yelp. Do you want to get price gouged? Look no further!! We came in a second time after a dubious first experience, this time our rear windows on our SUV wouldn't roll up. So my wife calls and tells them it's most likely the motor and a simple replacement would fix the issues. Their response? No that's impossible! No way both motors went out! We can do a diagnostic ,which ran around 120 dollars. We got a call with an estimate of 580 dollars with a diagnosis of the motors dying in both windows. Man 120 dollars to be told you're right! America! So looking up the parts the run at the high end of 100 dollars. So 100 + 120 = 220! Wait?? 220? They wanted 580 which minus the parts and diagnostic is...360 dollars??? What backwards black magic is this?? They adding gold trim? I understand the automotive industry can price gouge because "everyone does it!" Instead, I will fix this issue myself and actually learn a skill versus allowing myself to become a victim of the ridiculous auto repair industry. C&C prying money out of hardworking Americans just because you can, is wrong. End of rant. Edit in response to the owner attempting to say I was lying: The numbers I stated were accurate. If your company didn't tell me the exact numbers I wouldn't have posted them. Don't try to change whats been done. I will not answer calls or internet communications, I do not deal with hucksters. Consumers beware. There is not enough space on this site to put down the issues I had with this business with not only one vehicle but both of my vehicles. I was out of one of my vehicles for over a month and a half and had to call them to see what was the status on my vehicle. The charges where extremely to high due to changing out recommended parts that had nothing to do with cause and issues of both vehicles. I ended up fixing one of my vehicles on my own, after paying them big time for a third of the price and it took me only twenty minutes to replace the part. I should have took both of my vehicles to the dealership. The mechanics have know clue about what they are doing and speculating on their analysis. I decided to use them because several years ago the management team and mechanics where better and worked with the consumer. This has been one of the worst experiences I have had with any automotive business/customer service anywhere. Will only visit them until warranty issued by them for parts expire! read more

Blatantly Misled by Billy! Watch out! DEFCON 5. Stay away from this place! First time on yelp. Never do this, but feel like I must warn others. Wow, Wish I would've read other reviews before selecting C&C. Lesson learned. Went there only because we're new to Augusta & live close to their shop. Terrible experience! Billy quoted me a specific military discount, didn't honor it, then denied it. TOTALLY misled me. Billy will tell you anything. Best case--he has amnesia, worse case--no integrity, even as a supposed fellow veteran. Sad thing is, their greed is their loss because I will never go back with any of my 3 vehicles, and will discourage others as well. In my 12 years as Air Force & 20 years of retail executive management, never experienced such a poor service manager who essentially accused me of lying, after I took specific notes of our quote conversations. To make it worse, it was my son's Jeep Wrangler that they took advantage of, and they lost a potential life long customer in him. But my son learned a valuable lesson: get everything in writing, people can let you down, and life can be very unfair sometimes. Please learn from my mistakes! read more
