I went to C and C Auto Care because I live in the are and my car was making such a loud screeching noise that I absolutely had to take it somewhere close by. I'm sure they could hear me coming a mile away. When I pulled up, Carlos came outside and checked out my car. He asked me to turn the wheel all the way to the right and he got underneath my car. Literally five minutes later he got up and told me to drive my car around the block. THE SOUND WAS GONE! It turns out something under the car bent into the wheel and was causing the noise. Since it only took him 5 minutes to fix it he HE TOLD ME HE WASN'T EVEN GOING TO CHARGE ME. WHAT?! I was so pleasantly surprised. He literally made my day. It's obvious that I am a women who doesn't know the first thing about cars. He easily could have told me that it was going to take 3 days and $800 bucks and I would have had to take his word for it. Instead he gained a loyal customer for life because he is an honest and knowledgable man. I highly recommend C and C to all my fellow non-mechanically minded ladies out there... and the dudes too. He even offered to pick up her car and take it to his shop. When he had the car overnight he kept it secure behind gates and locked inside. I would trust what he says. On my way to have my car smogged, smoke started coming up from the hood. There was a mechanic right next to the smog shop, so I went there. Carlos quickly diagnosed the problem and started calling around for the needed part, since the car was a 2010 Chrysler. He finally found the part and gave me a ride home to wait 2 to 3 hours for the job to be finished. After 2 and 1/2 hours, he sent someone to come and get me. My car needed a fuel filter changed and c and c delivered. Parts and labor were quoted before work was performed. It was reasonably price and quick to perform. Once again, our truck crapped out on us. We have been to C&C before, and have always been treated fairly. Carlos worked with us to stay within our budget, and even gave us a couple of tips for an issue that, while not serious, is an annoyance. So, now, we can 'fix' it ourselves when it happens, and it didn't cost us a single cent. Today's re-repair is an under-warranty item for a bad starting motor, so it won't cost us anything, but it's good to know we have a trustworthy place to bring our vehicle. read more

When my beloved Mini and Ford explorer broke down, I didn't have a mechanic but knew I wanted to spend my dollars locally. C and C is one of the very few auto mechanics Oakley has to offer so I decided to take a chance, but still nervous as I am female and single and was worried about being ripped off. After speaking with Carlos over the phone, I took my car in the next morning. He assured me nothing would be done without my approval. He actually recommended I take the car into the dealer as the problem was electrical and major. I then took the other auto in. The work was completed promptly by the following day and the cost was very reasonable. The car is running like new again! I wholeheartedly recommend this shop. I moved to Bethel Island two years ago and found Carlos, of C&C from a referral from the local parts store. I have had two vehicles service by him and am very satisfied. He has kept my high mileage Honda Civic, 164,000 miles, running like it is new! We've been through replacing starter, brake job, air conditioning service, shocks ..... Each time, it's been at a reasonable price with no nasty surprises. Carlos is honest and straightforward. I also picked up a 1996 Dodge RAM 2500 for $1,000 with lot's of delayed maintenance. Carlos went over the entire vehicle, fixed what was leaking, repaired just what needed to be repaired and got it back on the road. The engine runs great. Carlos advised that the worn out rear differential not be replaced until it got worse. That was 6 months ago, I think I could get another year out of it before spending the money. He could have insisted it needed to be replaced, but that's not Carlos. Good man, good mechanic, good place to spend your money if you need auto repair/maintenance services. read more

I was desperate to find a place open on a weekend that could take a look at my car that was running poorly. I was planning to post it to sell the following week and did not want to do so until it was running well. I also didn't want to spend a lot of money to fix it. The owner schedule an appt for me for thirty minutes after I called Saturday morning. He is one of the shops open on Saturday in the area. He said he was very busy but was willing to do what he could to help me. As soon as I pulled up, the owner walked outside and hooked up the diagnostic machine to my car and told me what was wrong. He brought me over to his computer and showed me the different diagrams and parts that were damaged and required repair. He talked to me about the options and pricing. I ended up leaving the car with him and he got the car running perfectly by Monday. I sold the car that Friday and was so happy that I picked C&C. I will definitely take my cars back to this shop when needed and will recommend him to anyone in the area. Hats off to this place for honest good workmanship. read more
