I wouldn't recommend C&B Auto to my worst enemy. This review will cover two things: long repair time and not locking the cars they work on. To begin, I brought my car in for a simple rear passenger side dust shield replacement. This is something i would normally do on my own but I'm not in my hometown and don't have the usual amenities to fix it. Anyways, i called C&B before deciding to bring it there and they said it could be done by the end of the next day, perfect! I bring it there, wait the entire next day....nothing. I call the next morning and not done, all good no worries sometimes a time estimate is wrong i get it. However, this pattern repeated for the 2 and a half weeks, i was carless for 2 and a half weeks. I called a total of 5 times, each time getting another excuse to be late. Although the mechanic was short on hands he never gave me a good estimate on when my car would be done and didn't seem to ever give me priority or care even though i called so many times voicing that my car isn't done yet. This is only the beginning though. Here's the real kicker and is why you should NEVER GO HERE. I finally go to pick my car up, i was upcharged and i was just ready to leave. I open my door, "hmmmm thats strange, mud all over and a ripped up piece of paper with a toilet scrubber underneath it." I grab whatever the hell this is and hand it to hiim, he says "oh yeah we don't lock our cars, so bums like to rummage thoruhg them." EXCUSE ME, an establishment that works with other peoples property and also takes the keys for said property DEOSNT LOCK THE CARS. I would like anyone reading to know that when first brining my car in i saw a sign that said something along the lines of "dont leave any valuables in your car. people have been known to smash windows." So careful reader, does that to you sound like "oh we dont lock the cars, so anyone can go through them" NO IT DOESNT. That to me sounds like if you have your purse on your seat, we'll lock the car but we cant guarantee someone wont break in. So I dont decide to take anything out of my car because the only things you can see are my ice scraper, two stuffies, and a blanket zipped in a plastic bag. Back to my car, the center console was rummaged through, the back seats all had been put down, mud was covering the floormats, the cupholders were thrown on the ground, the headrest had been removed and then put back on, I know it had been removed because a stuffed rabbit keychain i keep on it was taken off and you can only do that if you take the headrest off, and my windshield scraper was fully extended. What was taken was all the coins in my center console, a box of tissues, hand sanitizer, and a blanket my recently passed mother had made for me that i keep in the back. Overall not much financially stolen, but emotionally it was so draining to have to go through this. Please never let anyone you know go to C&B auto, they don't care about your well being or your personal belongings. They never consider the emotions of their customers. by far the absolute worst auto repair experiences in town. I try to be fair give the multiple chances to correct mistakes or fix their short comings but for some reason even across multiple different vehicles they just can not get it right Any car I bring there they just fuck it up keep it for a whole ass week make my car smell like shit and hand me the keys with my gas depleted and the problem area on my car not even touched . I have been consistently bringing in different vehicles over the span of the past 6-7 years because it is the closest shop to me all of these except one car I had diagnosed by professionals at monro tire in north Syracuse and for some reason still decided to cut costs let the "skilled mechanics" here have a look at it without fail each time I received one of the cars it was in even worse condition than before I mostly chalked it up to my poor maintenance on my part or simply the cars being older models. Each time I received the cars minimal work was done to fix each problem and I mean each problem. After days of driving on C&B repairs the problems have returned. normally I just take the cars to another shop after and get the problem repaired at another shop. but that one odd car that I solely let C & B auto work on has been deemed unsafe to to even be near. I am not usually one to post online reviews or even a person to go out of their way to spread awareness of a situation but once my family has been put in danger it is a whole nother ball game. I finally brought the C&B car to get diagnosed because of a an issue that had been persisting after around 3 or 4 visits to C&B around a month or 2 ago also paid full for each of those visits and finally grew beyond impatient and decided C&B has finally lost it and proved to me that they have no idea what they are doing which is okay but go get recertified instead of shameful half ass repair jobs moving on took the C&B car to a shop and come to find out what I thought was a small little noise was actually my car basically about to kill it self in a and could have totally been avoided if they actually did their jobs properly quite literally glossed over a major detail that caused my car to become a literal death trap. Putting not only My family and I in danger but also the general public. I can not believe I was actually charged hundreds of dollars for my car to smell like straight pungent ass and nothing more. I have spent thousands here and even took my cars to a shop affiliated with C&B with the same results I am absolutely done with these menaces Reform, new ownership, training something needs to be done before this place is deemed fit to service automobiles again. Just shut the whole place down fucking horrendous please think of your families safety and take your car to an actual garage please genuinely BEWARE I have heard this testimony from everyone I know but did believe it until I experienced for myself. The only people I know who could vouch for the shop were people who personally knew the owner whose name will not be mentioned because I have some respect for others by the time your car is fully functioning again after C&B service you will have spent enough enough money to buy an entire new car not to mention the ridiculous amount of time you will be wasting never returning but closer shops to the are that are exponentially better than C&B are Garcias auto garage and towing in Solvay Mavis Discount Tire in Tipperary hill Monro tire full service shop in Mattydale north syracuse ( the best) these shops are actually phenomenal will point out every mistake that was made in the repair process to with detailed diagrams, descriptions and explanations of how the machinery actually works and how it was fucked by who ever worked on it last which every time without fail (cause my dumb ass believed they could handle it ) was C&B auto get your shit together C&B unacceptable this is how you actuallly run a business The one thing you can always count on when bringing your car to this shop other than the god awful service is that absolute diabolical smell that I can not stress enough will be ingrained in your car just until your next visit to C&B :) doesn't seem like you give a shit but you lost a handful of long time customers this past week read more

The guys are fantastic. I've never had any issues with them..And above all they don't rob you with repair prices.. Most places see a woman coming and automatically raise all their prices. These guys don't do that... I wouldn't go anywhere else....Thanks guys read more

I could not have asked for a better service. I was traveling from a family weekend and my car broke down in Syracuse at 3am. I had to wait till the morning to tow it to a car shop. Once I arrived, they diagnosed the problem even though they have a bunch of customers. They knew I was not from the area, I was a student trying to get back to school the next day, and therefore fixed my car right away. They even managed to fix the other customers car on time. Excellent service. Seriously, I would travel from anywhere to get my car fixed here. They are so nice and personable too and make you feel confident that they will bring your car back to new. If I could give 100 stars, I will surely give it! Highly recommend! Also, the price was very reasonable given what other car shops were trying to charge me! read more

Really great business, efficient, and super nice people! I went to C&B because my car's "check engine" was on while I was driving from Ithaca to Mass by myself on a Saturday afternoon. I almost passed away when I saw a street full of auto services and car dealers but almost none open at that time. Luckily, someone told me that C&B was still open. After I went in, the C&B technicians ran a diagnostics right away and told me what might be wrong with my car. After knowing that my car was still under warranty, C&B people kindly advised me to take my car to a nearby dealer because I won't be reimbursed if C&B were to fix it. I really appreciate their genuineness and honesty. They could've just fixed my car and sent me a (possibly huge) bill but they didn't. Great people, and efficient services! read more
