This is an excellent gas station right in the heart of downtown Syracuse, which I like to use because it's usually not too busy - even though they don't have many pumps. But it also often has cheaper gas than the whole of the downtown area, so It's a place where I will always stop and get gas if I'm not sure where the cheap stuff is. They almost never have expensive prices here compared to others in the area. I give them massive credit for that. While you are getting gas here please consider going over to Strong Hearts and getting yourself an incomparable Cesar Chavez milkshake. It's one of the best you'll ever have. The process was confusing because there was no feedback. When the guy asked me how I wanted it, he just shrugged and said "you can get it however you want. Everyone's got their own tastes." I tried to feel it out like do people usually order empanadas like a sandwich? "You're the customer, I'll make it however you order it!" A few more of those and I stopped asking. I don't really know the metrics for deli subs beyond hit or miss. It must be the meat they use, because the sub rolls were totally standard, and there was nothing special about how they were made. Even at the same pricing, I'd take these over Wegmans, DiBellas, Firehouse, Jersey Mike's, Jreck, any of the good deli subs I can remember getting in Syracuse. The staff there is awesome, and everyone is totally friendly in person and over the phone. I'm not one to order breaded wings if I don't have to, but you'll have to trust me on this one. Their breaded wings are fantastic, and they go great with sweet and sour on the side. Their steak subs are the best I've had in Syracuse. They're very soft, and usually dripping wet. This is a huge selling point for me, but a turn off for my girlfriend who does not share my passion for sandwich sog. She usually opens the foil and toasts hers in the oven for a few minutes before eating. I don't recommend lettuce on this sub. It's shredded pretty fine and it will wilt and make it stringy. They've got a cooler in the back of the store filled with bags of pizza dough. If I'm feeling ambitious, I'll throw one in while I'm checking out. They turn out great and make for an easy next meal.
