It's light, just sweet enough, chewy and just the right amount of crunch. The strawberry tea is refreshing full of berries and perfect for that hot Florida day. It's easy to see why Banh Mi is in their name. I had the chicken, it was so good. One of the best in town and for the price of $8.65, for almost a foot long... it's definitely a 10 on value. I read a bunch of reviews before we went there. They talked about "bad service", I didn't see it. My experience was good. They said hi when I ordered, answered the dumbest of my questions and wasn't rude. Did they pamper me? No, but they kind, quick, and didn't make me feel bad for not being able to pronounce things correctly. This is my go to for a Bon Mi sandwich. My favorite is number 8. Even though I only eat 1/2 of the sandwich the rest goes to a friend. Love giving something to others that never had one. The service is always great and fast. They have other items and will tell you what it is. So even if you don't know what items are, ask. Total service! Heard about this place that they serve the best AUTHENTIC Bahn Mi in Orlando. They are located in the same area as Enson and across East Garden restaurant. Its a small shop / bakery which serves about 6-8 Bahn Mi subs and a few drinks such as Vietnamese coffee, Artichoke drink, Thai Tea with or without boba and water bottles . canned sodas. They also serve Vietnamese desserts like jellies and Che cups. Also Vietnamese house made butter, Pate, Meat loaf just to name a few. They also offer Vietnamese sesame seed donuts, and Bao. The subs are in the $8 ish price range. The popular ones are the special combination and grilled pork. They always ask if you prefer the pickled vegetables bagged or placed on the sandwich. If it is to go and eaten right away its best to have them place it on the sandwich. If you are taking it home its best to have it bagged separate. They bake their own bread here - They have that huge special oven they use to bake these breads. You can buy the breads on its own. So you can tell this place is ran by a family I think - it looks like a bunch of vietnamese aunties working and hustling this bakery. The prep and serve time for the subs is fast. Ordered the Special Combination on the 1st day I went to this place. and was wrapped in parchment paper with a rubber band holding it tight. The bread is slimmer than I am used to but I can tell its light weight. As I bite onto the sandwich The pate is delicious! Its creamy and seasoned right and yes you can taste a little bit of the mushed liver but its a delicious pate. No wonder they sell these by themselves - Its delicious. It had cold cut meats and the bright red sliced meat looked unappetizing at first but as you chew down the sandwich - The sandwich itself is delicious. The pickled radish carrots and cucumber is slightly sweet and crunchy and the bread is delicious. I can tell it was freshly baked that day but I came in after work hours and that bread has been sitting around for awhile because it was not warm. It was still a delicious baguette. Its crispy outside but hollow linside, barely had any bread insert inside. They do not toast the bread for you unless you ask? I am not sure. The sandwich also is not sliced in half unless you request it. I could not finish the whole sub. The meat portion was just enough but do not expect a filled sandwich like you get from Publix, The bread / meat ratio here is good. The grilled pork sandwich was good. its pretty much pieces of grilled pork seasoned and slightly sweetened. It has mayo in it I am not sure if they add pate smear in it. This is the popular sandwich from what I notice when people stopped in. So this sandwich you only expect the grilled pork and the pickled vegetables in the sandwich. The sandwich is tasty but not as interesting as the special combination. This is cheaper than the Special combination by a few cents. The Bao is huge - Its pretty much a steamed white dough bun filled with a pork meatball with boiled egg inside. Its a huge meatball inside - Usually you cut in half and eat it that way, Its hard to eat the whole bun unless you are really hungry IMO. This was delicious - The meatball is flavorful and had hints of mushroom and water chestnuts or radish bits for crunch. The egg adds a soft flavor from the well seasoned meatball. The dough is slightly sweet and tender. Its best to steam these if they were stored in the fridge. These were $5 each but they sell these alot. Staff here is nice. I did notice that they wear gloves - But the 2nd time I came in I noticed 1 of the ladies with gloves on - came out from the counter and started sweeping using the same gloves from where she was preparing food and never changed them after she was sweeping the floors. They need to be mindful of these things especially when people wait for the food and observe etc. Not all of us are on our phones LOL while waiting. They open early here and when I got here around 9am ish they already had bagged orders waiting on the table. So that shows how this bakery is with their Bahn Mi's. read more

This is our go to banhmi place when we are in Orlando. The meat portion is just right especially with the pickled veggies and jalapeño. We usually get the original and grill pork. The Bánh Mis here were well stuffed and had various options to choose from. Enjoyed them no didn't feel super heavy after eating. The iced coffee confused me at first. I was confused as to why I the cup came with ice filled to almost the brim and coffee not even filled all the way up. But I later realized that having that much ice is necessary given how strong and thick the coffee is. So inside it looks like a bakery that don't really have so many display of bread in the counter but they have a menu display that makes it easier. First time in. Im from Cali so the name caught my eye when I was in the parking lot of the 1st Oriental Supermarket. It is a small takeout only place that seemed very busy. Line was out the door but moved very quickly. I couldn't pronounce anything so thankfully, the menu has numbered items and English translations. The floor is marked for social distancing as you come in. However, it was confusing with the direction of the floor markings. It seemed most people went to the right when they walked in but then there is mirror image of floor markings on the left so some people came in and went to the left and started lining up, seemingly bypassing those on the right. It all worked out though. There is a display case of their baked goods, including large animal shaped bread and very large softball-sized pork rolls that were very popular. I will try one of those next time I'm there. They basically have it running like a well oiled machine with a couple ladies doing an assembly line of sandwiches. Another at the register and another that was putting the orders together. Very efficient process. I ordered the grilled pork sandwich and was asked whether I wanted the veggies on the side or in the sandwich. I went with in the sandwich. The bread was so fresh, crusty on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. It had chopped pieces of deliciously marinated pork. Cucumber, pickled daikon radish and carrot strips. It also had cilantro and jalapenos. The flavors work so well together. The only thing I would change is to add more cilantro. I only had a few sprigs which was definitely not enough for me. I have never had a Vietnamese donut so wasn't sure what to expect. It looked huge at first but was basically a hollow pillow of dough covered in sesame seeds. It was very good and I will definitely order it again. The dough was warm and soft inside and slightly sweet. The crunch of the sesame seeds gave it a great texture. There is a $10 minimum purchase to use your credit card. I added a milk tea to bring my total for all 3 things to approx $11. Everything was so fresh and delicious. One warning: do not eat the sandwich in your car without air freshener! It smelled like something died in my car for hours afterward as I was doing my shopping in Orlando, which is a good distance from my home in Clermont. One thing that was tough was that when my total came of five dollars and change and I handed her a twenty, I was given a ten, a single, and she started counting out change. Mind you, there were other people handing money to her, as well, yet she could not comprehend that she should ask the manager for singles. Fortunately, the manager came to the rescue and singles.
