beautiful presentation, fresh clean food, amazing sandwiches!! all around very good service. Much love

Banh Mi Cali is 100% authentic and has some of the best banh mi I've ever had! I usually get the combination, which is delicious, but the meatball banh mi is what really makes this place special. The meatballs are amazing, and the pickled radish makes the sandwich even better. I also can't say enough about their bread! It's crunchy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside, and really makes the entire sandwich. Their Vietnamese sesame donut is also delicious when you get it fresh, especially with a Thai tea. I also tried the calamansi black tea, which was different from anything I've had before but very refreshing and really good. Definitely a spot I would come back to! read more

Located in Chinatown, this shop is for to go orders only. It has a deli feel to it. So not much by way of Ambiance. The food is so good. It is definitely one of my top Banh Mi places. Everyone was very nice and the food comes out quickly read more

Bánh Mi Cali - Pork bahn mi opened ip - Vietnamese Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Always a must-visit whenever I'm in Orlando! This spot has, hands down, the best banh mi I've found in the area. I'll even go out of my way to grab a few sandwiches to-go before hitting the road--they hold up surprisingly well for the drive! The ingredients are consistently fresh, especially that bread (the perfect crunch!). The service is always lightning-fast, and the staff is super friendly. While the vibe is definitely geared toward quick-service energy, there's a nice bar-style counter with stools if you want to tuck in and eat inside. 10/10--I will definitely be back! read more

Bánh Mi Cali - The classic Banh Mi + Grilled Chicken Banh Mi - Vietnamese Near Me - Orlando, Florida

It's easy to see why Banh Mi is in their name. I had the chicken, it was so good. One of the best in town and for the price of $8.65, for almost a foot long... it's definitely a 10 on value. I read a bunch of reviews before we went there. They talked about "bad service", I didn't see it. My experience was good. They said hi when I ordered, answered the dumbest of my questions and wasn't rude. Did they pamper me? No, but they kind, quick, and didn't make me feel bad for not being able to pronounce things correctly. (I'm new to the cuisine) The shop is everything you'd expect, minimalist and designed to let you pick up and go quickly. Which is a good thing. Good vibe, good food, easy parking on a Saturday at lunchtime, and a killer Strawberry Iced Tea. read more

My go to bahn mi spot when I'm in FL. Love the hole in the wall vibe and I enjoy it even more when it's fast, cheap and delicious. There's no frills here and you need to know what you want. There's like 5 items to order from so you can't get it wrong. Highly recommend the chicken or pork bahn mi. Solid choice with a strawberry tea or Vietnamese iced coffee. read more

This is my go to for a Bon Mi sandwich. My favorite is number 8. Even though I only eat 1/2 of the sandwich the rest goes to a friend. Love giving something to others that never had one. The service is always great and fast. They have other items and will tell you what it is. So even if you don't know what items are, ask. Total service! And if you only what a fabulous baguette, they have them also. Crunchy and so fresh. I am a firm believer in trying other cultures foods. Life is too short, the adventurous. read more

This was absolutely fantastic! I see why they are considered one of the best Banh Mi's in Orlando. The baguette is crispy on the outside and chewy and light on the inside. I got the chicken and it was absolutely delicious, sweet and savory and cooked perfectly. We also got a sesame doughnut, it is massive! It's light, just sweet enough, chewy and just the right amount of crunch. The strawberry tea is refreshing full of berries and perfect for that hot Florida day. It's definitely a grab and go place, smaller inside and not a lot of seating. But that works because they are so fast! We ordered our sandwich and we had it in 5mins. You can't beat service that fast and fresh! Why only 4 stars: the Banh Mi had a bit too much butter and I would have like more veggies on the sandwich. But I know that this is personal preference. Can't wait to go back! read more

First in this economy it's hard to find a good meal made with fresh ingredients under $10. The size and filling of the sandwich can't be beat compared to other Bahn Mi shops. They give great portions while staying priced competitive. Definitely in my top 3 of Bahn Mi shops and a better selection over any other sub shop chain! read more

Bánh Mi Cali - Combination banh mi - Vietnamese Near Me - Orlando, Florida

We came in half an hour before they closed and the two ladies gave us the look that only our Asian mothers can give us.... disappointment. Well at least mine. I ordered 2 special combination banh mi and my friend ordered roast pork. Grandma made the 4 banh mi quick and efficient... cuz they were ready for bed. It was so good and satisfying. We saved one each in the fridge to bring to Universal park the next day and it was still on point. It's a bit pricey, $10 but it's filling and good quality. I miss the $5 old days!! Def recommend! read more

Heard about this place that they serve the best AUTHENTIC Bahn Mi in Orlando. They are located in the same area as Enson and across East Garden restaurant. Its a small shop / bakery which serves about 6-8 Bahn Mi subs and a few drinks such as Vietnamese coffee, Artichoke drink, Thai Tea with or without boba and water bottles . canned sodas. They also serve Vietnamese desserts like jellies and Che cups. Also Vietnamese house made butter, Pate, Meat loaf just to name a few. They also offer Vietnamese sesame seed donuts, and Bao. The subs are in the $8 ish price range. The popular ones are the special combination and grilled pork. They always ask if you prefer the pickled vegetables bagged or placed on the sandwich. If it is to go and eaten right away its best to have them place it on the sandwich. If you are taking it home its best to have it bagged separate. They bake their own bread here - They have that huge special oven they use to bake these breads. You can buy the breads on its own. So you can tell this place is ran by a family I think - it looks like a bunch of vietnamese aunties working and hustling this bakery. The prep and serve time for the subs is fast. Ordered the Special Combination on the 1st day I went to this place. and was wrapped in parchment paper with a rubber band holding it tight. The bread is slimmer than I am used to but I can tell its light weight. As I bite onto the sandwich The pate is delicious! Its creamy and seasoned right and yes you can taste a little bit of the mushed liver but its a delicious pate. No wonder they sell these by themselves - Its delicious. It had cold cut meats and the bright red sliced meat looked unappetizing at first but as you chew down the sandwich - The sandwich itself is delicious. The pickled radish carrots and cucumber is slightly sweet and crunchy and the bread is delicious. I can tell it was freshly baked that day but I came in after work hours and that bread has been sitting around for awhile because it was not warm. It was still a delicious baguette. Its crispy outside but hollow linside, barely had any bread insert inside. They do not toast the bread for you unless you ask? I am not sure. The sandwich also is not sliced in half unless you request it. I could not finish the whole sub. The meat portion was just enough but do not expect a filled sandwich like you get from Publix, The bread / meat ratio here is good. The grilled pork sandwich was good. its pretty much pieces of grilled pork seasoned and slightly sweetened. It has mayo in it I am not sure if they add pate smear in it. This is the popular sandwich from what I notice when people stopped in. So this sandwich you only expect the grilled pork and the pickled vegetables in the sandwich. The sandwich is tasty but not as interesting as the special combination. This is cheaper than the Special combination by a few cents. The Bao is huge - Its pretty much a steamed white dough bun filled with a pork meatball with boiled egg inside. Its a huge meatball inside - Usually you cut in half and eat it that way, Its hard to eat the whole bun unless you are really hungry IMO. This was delicious - The meatball is flavorful and had hints of mushroom and water chestnuts or radish bits for crunch. The egg adds a soft flavor from the well seasoned meatball. The dough is slightly sweet and tender. Its best to steam these if they were stored in the fridge. These were $5 each but they sell these alot. Staff here is nice. I did notice that they wear gloves - But the 2nd time I came in I noticed 1 of the ladies with gloves on - came out from the counter and started sweeping using the same gloves from where she was preparing food and never changed them after she was sweeping the floors. They need to be mindful of these things especially when people wait for the food and observe etc. Not all of us are on our phones LOL while waiting. They open early here and when I got here around 9am ish they already had bagged orders waiting on the table. So that shows how this bakery is with their Bahn Mi's. read more

Finally a freaking Vietnamese banh mi place here that taste like a real Vietnamese banh mi and not a gentrified "sub". It might look like a hole in the wall spot with grumpy aunties making your food but at least it's legit and the kid at the cashier was so kind! Let's start with the bread... light, crispy, flaky yet soft on the inside! Meat ratio is pretty packed for the dac biet and thit nguoi banh mis, didn't try the others. Veggies were fresh and ask for more jalapeños if you like it spicy but pate was pretty darn on point and so was the spread. I wanted banh tieu but they were out, but will definitely come back again! Thanks for satisfying my banh mi craving! -from a Cali viet read more

This is our go to banhmi place when we are in Orlando. The meat portion is just right especially with the pickled veggies and jalapeño. We usually get the original and grill pork. The bread is crispy and soft in the inside. I think it is a family own shop all the aunties and grandmas making the sandwiches. Service is quick. Its a mom and pop shop very simple with food items pictures on the wall. Highly recommended if you are in the area. read more

BEST Banh Mi ever! Fresh, tasty, the vegetables were crisp and the baguette was just as delicious! My new favorite spot!

Beside the way they speak, loud and kinda belittling to each other, I don't mind cause it wasn't towards me. I order the Banh mi cha lua and I thought they will skimp on the cha lua, so I order extra meat. Omg, it was stuffed. I was going to eat it at the airport but I waited until I got home. It was decent. The sandwich was like 10in h long and heavy. The Banh tieu was good too. I think it was $1.50 for extra meat. Attached is a picture but ignore the bread. I was on an airplane for 5hrs before I could it eat. read more

Stopped going there because they keep on increasing their price. Their sandwiches are getting too expensive and the quality is not all that. They need to treat their customers nice; they have a rude way of responding to their customers. read more

This place is a solid! It's the best way to describe this place in one word. The prices are affordable, the quality of bread is fantastic, nice and warm and crispy at the same time, and the amount of meat they put in their sandwiches is just right. I actually feel like I'm eating more stuffing sometimes than bread ratio. You can't go wrong. Their special combo banh mi is awesome. It's not like straight up white mayo that they use, nor is the sandwich flat or dry. Just thinking about this sandwich makes me want to go back for more! If you're looking for a straight up, non fusion, straight-to-the-point banh mi that won't disappoint, do come here. It seems like a small establishment at first but don't let that fool you. I've been to four banh mi places in the Orlando area and all of them made very good sandwiches. Banh Mi Cali is a cut above. They dress the sandwiches with lots of vegetables, there is a good amount of tasty pate in the "banh mi dac biet" (the Special Combination sandwich), the meat is tasty, the bread is perfect, and... the service is fast! It's a take-out business except for a few chairs, and they produce a great sandwich in a hurry. I love this place! read more

The Bánh Mis here were well stuffed and had various options to choose from. Enjoyed them no didn't feel super heavy after eating. The iced coffee confused me at first. I was confused as to why I the cup came with ice filled to almost the brim and coffee not even filled all the way up. But I later realized that having that much ice is necessary given how strong and thick the coffee is. It was super strong with heavy cream I think in it, which made for a wonderful iced coffee. read more

Literally a hole in the wall. The bread makes the sandwich is they make their baguettes on premise, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. From the exterior I didn't really had any high expectation of this place but we just really have try to see. So inside it looks like a bakery that don't really have so many display of bread in the counter but they have a menu display that makes it easier. I got the ham and pork roll and it has pickled radish and cilantro with ham pork ham. It was actually different from what I thought but it taste so good! the bread is crispy and the meat is so tasty that it makes this sandwich so good. First time in. Im from Cali so the name caught my eye when I was in the parking lot of the 1st Oriental Supermarket. It is a small takeout only place that seemed very busy. Line was out the door but moved very quickly. I couldn't pronounce anything so thankfully, the menu has numbered items and English translations. The floor is marked for social distancing as you come in. However, it was confusing with the direction of the floor markings. It seemed most people went to the right when they walked in but then there is mirror image of floor markings on the left so some people came in and went to the left and started lining up, seemingly bypassing those on the right. It all worked out though. There is a display case of their baked goods, including large animal shaped bread and very large softball-sized pork rolls that were very popular. I will try one of those next time I'm there. They basically have it running like a well oiled machine with a couple ladies doing an assembly line of sandwiches. Another at the register and another that was putting the orders together. Very efficient process. I ordered the grilled pork sandwich and was asked whether I wanted the veggies on the side or in the sandwich. I went with in the sandwich. The bread was so fresh, crusty on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. It had chopped pieces of deliciously marinated pork. Cucumber, pickled daikon radish and carrot strips. It also had cilantro and jalapenos. The flavors work so well together. The only thing I would change is to add more cilantro. I only had a few sprigs which was definitely not enough for me. I have never had a Vietnamese donut so wasn't sure what to expect. It looked huge at first but was basically a hollow pillow of dough covered in sesame seeds. It was very good and I will definitely order it again. The dough was warm and soft inside and slightly sweet. The crunch of the sesame seeds gave it a great texture. There is a $10 minimum purchase to use your credit card. I added a milk tea to bring my total for all 3 things to approx $11. Everything was so fresh and delicious. One warning: do not eat the sandwich in your car without air freshener! It smelled like something died in my car for hours afterward as I was doing my shopping in Orlando, which is a good distance from my home in Clermont. I finally broke down and bought a small bottle of air freshener at Trader Joe's. Lol read more

Love this place so much! Whenever I am next door grabbing an ice coffee, I always have notice how busy they are, so recently I decided to give it a try. I can't believe I wait so long and now I understand why they always appear busy. 5 stars for such a delicious grilled pork Bánh mi. The bread was amazing and the sandwich was loaded with both meats and veggies. The young man behind the register was super friendly. I'm my opinion, the sandwich was big for the price. I was only able to eat half and saved the rest for later. There isn't a lot of seating and most people appeared to have called ahead for their orders.
