I cannot recommend the Biddeford Sticker Station / Jim's Auto Repair based on my personal…read moreexperience. I brought in a vehicle that had passed inspections every year prior at multiple garages including "Jiffy Lube." This vehicle is my "back up" and spends most of each year parked in my driveway with very little use. Despite that, the Sticker Station person who stated that he was helping out his son for the day, failed my vehicle with what I believed were "questionable issues" along the same lines as described in other Yelp reviews. He made outrageous claims about "parts missing" from the under carriage while there was nothing wrong with the emissions. While I was there an older lady came in to complain because the plug on her oil pan had not been properly tightened or something and all of the oil drained from her system making her need to have the car towed and forcing her to pay for a "rental" vehicle. After telling the lady that there was no way she would have been able to drive off their lot with a loose plug, they stated they would "look at it" once she had it towed back to their shop. The woman was close to tears at the end of the interaction. While I don't need to be "babied" by my mechanic or any other service provider, I do expect a certain level of decency and respect when a person interacts with me, especially when I am polite to them. Biddeford Sticker Station failed on that front. I won't be returning.

The brainiac told her he couldn't give her a sticker because she was going to change her plates months from now. Think about that. I bought a battery at the Biddeford Maine Wal Mart about 2 years ago. Last week my car doesn't…read morestart and my mechanic says, battery no good. Ok, so the battery is still under warranty, so I bring it back to the store and see ERIC. Now I've been shopping here for years and I know Eric fairly well. I have had only one other incident with him about a year ago he all but called me a liar when I told him that my car was actually in the shop and they changed my windshield wipers and he had no paperwork or computer knowledge of it. I told him I actually witnessed the car inside the shop and he said ok Norm, it was in there, are you happy now? And he immediately walked off on me. Ok, maybe I can understand it where his mechanics failed to put anything of it in the office. Last week, I tried to return my battery and he comes out and informs me that the "new policy" was that my battery had to be accompanied with a receipt. Now, I know this is out of his hands, but I explain to him that it is near impossible to keep a Wal-Mart receipt that long due to the fact that the receipt is printed with heat and not ink. Therefore, when you store the thing in your glove box and the car reaches over 100 degrees in the summer time, the receipt is now blank. Now once again he all but calls me a liar by saying that he has one over 10 years old and he can read his just fine. Now about 3 or four years ago that same man asked me to write a "great" review on him and how happy I was with his service and I was all but too happy to do just that. But what I have figured out about ERIC, is he is so, so, nice to you when you are passing your money his way and building his fame with Wal-Mart and the public, but when you have a problem he treats you like the TRASH HE THREW OUT YESTERDAY!!! Eric, I wrote some great things about you thinking you were in fact a great manager, but you showed me who you really are and I have decided I no longer like you. Where was your empathy and kind words when I had a problem? I realize store policies are above you but even the store manager tried harder than you to help me by giving me a number to call with my problem. I was there for you when someone wrote some bad things about you and I didn't get paid a dime. You are for yourself and ONLY for yourself and I will NEVER buy so much as a keychain holder from you again. I'm done with your fake smile while I am passing money your way and your cold shoulder and your back as you walk away from me when I need your help. You need to learn that you treat your customers in need and not spending the same way you treat them when they are purchasing. Also, If Wal-Mart wants a three year old receipt, they need to make a receipt that will last that long without having to be stored in GRANDMAS cedar chest and completely out of harms way or get a computer system like auto parts stores EVERYWHERE possess that stores the customer info on warranties. This is a terrible scam. Your battery has your name all over it, a bar code and date. What more do you need? The only thing the battery doesn't have written in BOLD LETTERS, is KEEP YOUR RECEIPT! Batteries are EXPENSIVE! I don't want to think my warranty is no good at Wal-Mart because I simply won't buy it there. Yours Very Truely, Norm Hayward

Upon picking my car up I was told my total was somewhere around the $1065 price point (not exactly sure of the final total). I panicked because in this economy, I had been saving and pinching pennies for the past 3 weeks to ensure I could effort the $700 price tag for the needed repairs. When I was given the new total, I asked if I could go out to my car because it seemed quite a bit higher than my original quote. The man said "of course!" I came back with my original quote and at this point Garry (manager?) had joined our crew and we all tried to figure out what happened. After a few minutes we realized that someone (not me) had called and asked to have an additional service added on to their appointment today and it was somehow added to my car. Garry was amazing after I reassured him I had no idea what he was talking about and had not called since I placed my original call about the inspection & check engine light nearly 5 weeks prior. Garry removed the additional $350+ charge and was completely amazing to work with. I felt awful that this had happened but also was super glad I had kept the original quote! These are tough times!

They looked at my car, and said it would be fine. They said my battery was in tip top shape. Two months later in the cold, it didn't start, and I couldn't make it to school. Turned out to be weak battery, and the starter. Things I feel they shouldn't have overlooked. Just now, I called inquiring about state inspections. I say I am coming right now to get it inspected, they say that's fine. I get here, and they say there is five hour delay to get my car inspected today. I have class, that wouldn't work for me. I wish they would've mentioned that before I wasted my time driving over. I'm sick of this, and them. Unless I have to I won't be coming back.

They were supposedly the next best thing to an actual BMW dealership. I left the car with them and got home to Vermont. The following Monday they called and said it was repaired. Needed a water pump, thermostat oil cooler and gasket and oil change. First they used a non compliant coolant for my car. Second they stripped my radiator drain plug. When I contacted them they threw up hands and forwarded me to NAPA part warranty. Which has limited partners in Vermont. Now the water pump the put in has failed. Looking back on the $2700 I paid for this I am pretty disgusted. Knowing this is dealership prices or higher. This is probably 700 more than should have been charged.
