    Torta cubana
    Diana R.

I always drive through this road for work and wanted to stop by. I finally did after a dentist visit with my husband and kiddo. My husband ordered the torta cubana HUGE can feed 2 people. He really enjoyed it ! My little one order a cheeseburger and it was very tasty she said. I have the huaraches de Asada and it was nice and crispy just like I like it. We will definitely be back to try the breakfast . The place was clean!

    Chips and salsa

Been wanting to try this place since it opened up and after a lovely visit to the local distillery we decided to stop by and get a late lunch. The restaurant and bathroom is clean-and somewhat updated (though the whole place reeked of weed) and the staff is attentive. This is where the two stars come from. Where to start with the food.. first off chips are typical bought not made fresh or in house. The salsa accompaniment tastes like doctored up canned tomatoes and was the highlight of the meal and oddly I found a piece of meat in it(hopefully not from cross contamination)I'm not sure what is going on with the previous reviews. Did we order the wrong thing? Was it an off day? Are people's taste buds that messed up? We got a chicken taco that presented well but was dry and lacked flavor even after drenching it in lime juice and the red salsa(green salsa tasted spoiled). My husband's burrito was not very big, was wrapped in an old tortilla, had very little meat and and smelled like alpo(we should have walked out). The Chile relleno plate was decent sized and they tasted okay. The beans tasted like they were canned and watered down and the rice was not fluffy at all and the only flavor profile was canned tomato sauce. Maybe this is a good breakfast spot but as for fresh Mexican food I'd say keep driving to the spot in the gas station down the road. Do better please I love supporting small businesses but I'd be hard pressed to return.

    Enchilada plate

This location has been through several changes over the years, often with the same name. It is currently a New Mexican and American cuisine restaurant. It recently reopened and we stopped in for a family dinner over a weekend evening. We tried the enchilada plate, torta and loaded steak fries and finished with freshly made churros. Compared to some neighboring restaurants with the same cuisine we enjoyed some plates more than others with some being good but not the best. Food is very reasonably priced as three entrees, drinks and dessert was $53 before tip. Portions were large and service was friendly and prompt. The location doesn't get a lot of traffic so we were the only patrons in the restaurant. There are indoor tables and bar seating, for nicer weather there's a covered outside area to sit as well. For us the refried beans and the torta along with the churros were the star. We also stopped in to try the breakfast burritos the following morning, large and filling, good taste and affordable. Recommend giving this place a try. Will be back to try more on the menu.

Me and the family‍‍ have seen this restaurant open for a while wanted to give it a try. Great parking, restaurant door was right next to the parking spots also accessible if you have any medical issues. As you walk in you're welcomed by a warm and cozy entrance with wood decor and amazing music. Bathroom is there only for customers and is clean Server there sat us down right away asking if we wanted anything to drink before ordering, which was good. Then giving us the menu at the same time (there were SOOOO many good options on there ) I wanted to try everything, but that's for next time. I'm definitely coming back again! When ordering it was so quick and easy! I ordered red chilaquiles with chicken, which I believe is a breakfast plate, also there is free chips and salsa. p.s forgot to take family's food but we did also get the Club's Sandwich, Al pastor super burrito, and one kids meal (3 plain steak tacos). Food doesn't take long to come out, the cook was fast and plates were DELICIOUS. Definitely coming back again with the hubby

Good eats, great view, and our server Sam was beyond outstanding. The restaurant is right on the water, like the name says, it is right on the Marina. Plenty of parking and easy to find. We were here the day after Christmas and they went all out with their Christmas - Grinch decor. Love that! There was lots of seating and a full of bar of patrons. Drinks must be good, and they were! I got the spicy Bloody Mary and it hit the spot. Solid mixture and spices were just right. I had two, cause I'm into holiday spirits! I went with a friend for a catch up session so we sat outside so not to disturb the rest of the patrons. Sam was awesome. She didn't forget about us, even though it probably took a half hour before we put our order in. She made sure to ask if we wanted the heater or fire place since it was a cloudy day. We ordered the crab wings, brisket nachos, and lobster ravioli. The crab wings are 2 or 3 soft shelled crabs in half and they were fried to perfection. Crispy but super juicy and tender. I shouldn't have done it, but they were so good, I saved some for the BF so he could taste them. The diavolo sauce for the ravioli was wow! I finished the whole thing and sopped up all the sauce with the crusty garlic bread. Nothing was left. My friend doesn't eat seafood, but finished those brisket nachos. If you're headed out to the Delta for the day or some fishing, make a stop and try their offerings. I wanted to taste everything on the menu. Get a Bloody Mary, and take in the view. And ask for Sam! She's an absolute gem!

Well- I'm just done. I love to support local business, but if you have zero clue on customer…read moreservice you don't deserve my money and you really don't deserve to be in business. I was aware of the recent closure due to sanitation issues, and I get that things happen- they closed down to address the issues and I respect that. Here is my problem- I was the only customer sitting at the bar, no other customers in the bar area- and only 2 other customers in the restaurant. There was either an owner or a manager sitting at the bar on his laptop. A young lady came on duty to take over the bar and helped me initially. This young lady clearly hasn't been trained or trained well. As my beer was almost gone, she didn't notice and didn't ask if I wanted me another. After I finished my beer, she was walked back and forth from the bar to wherever about 7 times- it once checking - so I moved my empty glass to the edge of the bar so she could notice. Nada. I was done. Here's the thing- I was the ONLY customer in the bar/bar area and she couldn't notice if I needed another beer? Here's the bigger issue- the manager/owner sitting next to me had zero clue or didn't care. I blame the owner/manager. I don't want to hear anything about 'give us another chance'- you clearly don't know how to run a restaurant.

Inside, it gave off an old school vibe - obviously this place has a lot of history. It reminded us of similar cafés we would see in small Northern California towns on vacation. We later found out the café had been here for 60 years. Most of the patrons seem to be regulars, knowing the servers and chatting with them, a good sign. I ordered the Joe's Scramble with hash browns and wheat toast. My wife ordered the eggs Benedict with country potatoes. We didn't have to wait long, and you definitely get your money's worth - the servings were quite large. We ate well, and had enough leftovers for dinner. My wife particularly praised the country potatoes. Good to see some of these long time restaurants have managed to last to the current day.

The back area is so spacious to accommodate large parties! Let me tell you about the food!!! I got Ohana Pancakes, it comes with pineapple, coconut and Mac nut syrup. I got mine without pineapple and it was drooling delish!! The two pancakes were light and airy, not dense like some pancakes. Sprinkled with coconut and a heaping serving is their delicious Mac nut syrup!! I wish there was more mac nuts...but all good, still delish. My sister ordered Joe's omelette (scramble listed on the menu). It comes with ground beef, spinach, onions, mushrooms, and cheese. Comes with a side of toast and country potatoes. Again, a large portion of deliciousness! We also ordered Aloha mimosas- made with bubbles, vodka, passion, and guava. I couldn't finish it cuz they made it so good the alcohol was getting to my head This place is going to be a repeat place cuz I want to try everything on the menu! Everything we had was very tasty! Oh and of course one of our fav servers works there now. He didn't serve us but glad I got to see him. Pepe- we'll seat where you serve next time!!! See you again! After having been seated, it took quite some time to get our food. Staff nonetheless were nice but a little slow to bring over requests (ie napkins). I ordered a Bloody Mary - 2/5. Tall cup but I felt like there was very little inside. Overall taste was nothing out of this world, very bland as was the garnish. For food I ordered the Philly Omlette - 2/5. The meat was so dry and lacked any seasoning! Disappointing - salsa was the only thing that saved it and ketchup for my potatoes. Of which, the potatoes were OK. Portion is huge, I definitely could have shared with 1 other person. Overall my experience was OK. Not to be my first choice for a future brunch spot in the area.
