Dr. Ashley was incredibly gentle and took the time to explain everything. The younger sister was treated by Dr. Hung. She had a small cavity and I was amazed at how calm and relaxed she stayed the whole time thanks to how professional and reassuring the doctor and staff were. The dental assistants was equally amazing -- cheerful, patient, and so skilled at working with little ones. The office itself is bright, clean, and so kid-friendly, with fun decorations and little touches that make it feel like a special adventure instead of a doctor visit. My daughters left smiling, showing off their "sparkly clean" teeth and new toothbrushes, and they've already asked when they can go back! Our oldest daughter had multiple cavities and we attempted laughing gas but it did not work out and we ended up completing the other cavities under sedation. If patients are required to sign in, it is reasonable to expect that the sign-in sheet is actively reviewed. Otherwise, the purpose of having patients sign in is unclear. My daughter even told me that one of the receptionist with blond hair acknowledged her when she waved hello and signed in her name so I don't understand why the other receptionist twisted things around saying they didn't know my daughter was there for her appointment and requested us to reschedule to another day. I took time off work and pulled my daughter out of school early for this appointment, only for our time to be wasted and the blame shifted onto a minor who had properly checked in. One thing to note is it's an open space where multiple kids are being seen at once. So if you prefer privacy, this may not be the spot for you. I did ask for a private room once because my youngest daughter cried at the doctor, so I wanted to make sure she didn't cry in front of all the other kids and scare them.
