While walking around the Leopoldstadt area and checking out the nearby farmers market, I stumbled across this place. From the exterior it doesn't look like much, but don't let that fool you. From the very beginning, the service was great, faster than what I had expected. The first thing I had was some ginger tea and some spring rolls. The spring rolls were freshly made and just came out of the fryer, so they were still quite hot. They came with a side of nuoc mam (fish sauce) dip, which was nicely seasoned with garlic and a touch of citrus; not too salty but definitely not bland, either. Next came my main course, the pho, which was delicious. It came very hot, with a small garnish of lemon, tiny red hot peppers, and some plum sauce to dip your slices of beef in. The broth was rich and flavorful. Although this place is a little bit pricey compared to other small places, the quality of the food and the service was well worth it. It's a small restaurant so it probably wouldn't be ideal for large groups, but if you came with as couple of friends or colleagues, it's just fine. There's a German word to describe the place: "gemütlich". read more
