    Nook upstairs

This is the coziest cafe if you live uptown in Hoboken! I really enjoy the open floor high ceiling layout... the nook upstairs is my favorite spot to bring my laptop and work in. The staff is friendly, the coffee is delicious, and they have fun seasonal flavors. There's a lot of great sandwich options too, the good morning biscuit being my favorite. Check it out!

I've been wanting to try bwè for a while now, but never really passed by it. I went to a new church across the street this morning and finally spotted it. I came in after service and was very impressed with how much space they had. Great place to get some studying or work done. I actually went back to my car to get my laptop and decided to stay. I ordered their biscuit sandwich and cherry pie matcha w a shot of espresso. The biscuit sandwich was DELISH. So fluffy and flavorful, the biscuit alone was the star, but the turkey bacon, cheese and egg made for a great breakfast. Tbh because of the color I can't really tell if my drink had matcha, they may have misunderstood me and thought I asked it to be switched for espresso bc I couldn't really taste the matcha either, but I was not mad! It made for a delicious latte too. This might be my new favorite drink! I'll definitely be back soon as a remote work girlie.

Ordered: Large Iced Lavender Latte (~$7): with oat milk Matcha Loaf (~$4) Aya's take: If you're searching for the best Iced Lavender Latte in town, look no further because I've found it at bwè cafe! I'm a lavender latte connoisseur and everything about this was perfect. The lavender was prominent in every sip and gave the latte those floral notes I love. The espresso was also good quality and overall, it was silky, smooth, and not too sweet at all. If you like lavender, you will love this. Highly recommend! The Matcha Loaf tasted like a plain loaf of cake. I tried so hard to taste the matcha and I honestly couldn't. I would skip this next time. Super spacious with tons of natural light which I loved. I would definitely come back!

I did not try the food so I cannot rate based on food, but the coffee and the hot chocolate were both good. The service was good as well, the barista was friendly and answered all my questions without seeming annoyed. They had live music which is why we originally went. Really talented artist- Javian. The event was great. The café overall is beautiful inside and very spacious. The art decor is really cool. It definitely has a hipster/artsy, "We love all kind of vibe". I would definitely go back and try the food next time. The options looked pretty good.

Came about 10am on a Saturday and they were very busy. None of the employees smile, or are very friendly. Literally none. We bought a bag of beans, a latte and a flat white, a breakfast sandwich and an avocado toast. They all came out relatively quickly, despite how many people they were preparing for. I was disappointed that although they gave the food on plates, the drinks were in disposable cups. We were lucky to find seats after we ordered. The avocado toast was very difficult to eat or cut. The center of the bread was very soft but the crust was impossible. The salad was just covered in oil. The coffees were a 5/10. Very thin and the almond milk was quite sweet. Although I visited bwe at another location in the past, I won't be coming back again.

We really enjoy this spot! Good coffee and good food. Their Breakfast Sandwich ($7.5) was a bit weak (bland) with just croissant, egg and cheese, so I took a star off, but otherwise no complaints. If you sign up through their rewards program, you also get a free coffee drink on your birthday!

Seriously, this cafe deserves a higher rating. It is my go to spot for lunch and work on the weekends. The upstairs area is perfect for working, reading, or catching up with friends. Their green salad bowl with an addition of smoked salmon is my hyper-fixation. I like to chop everything up and mix it well before piling it on the bread provided. The olive tepanade adds great umami to the dish. Last week, there was also a coffee pop-up where friendly coffee roasters from Columbia were kind enough to explain all about coffee and how beans are processed!

Bwe is literally my favorite coffee shop. I have To say that they have some of the best tasting coffee. I usually get a cappuccino with almond milk and for whatever reason the baristas on Washington street make a better cappuccino than this location so that's why I took off one star. I have not had a perfect coffee from the Adams Street location as yet. However what I love about this location is it's size and the food options. This location is much bigger but still has the cozy coffee shop feel. There's ample space for those with a laptop and those that just want to have conversations over coffee with a friend. The fact that they have food options and not just pastries is a plus. I had Salmon Toast recently that was just what I needed to start my day. This location is perfect in the cut off the beaten path away from traffic. I'll continue to visit and hope for a better cappuccino.

    Chocolate Croissant and Chai Latte

First time visiting this location! It's pretty big, they had a lot of tables and chairs plus a couch area to lounge and an area upstairs... when we walked in we weren't sure where the line was!? We each ordered chocolate croissants and drinks! We tried hot chocolate, cold brew and almond milk chai latte. I always like the chai lattes at the Washington location and these are the same. Line moves quick and quality is good- would recommend!

I've been to the Washington location and I'm so happy they opened a north end location! Finally was able to visit and I got a hot chocolate, as usual. I got mine with skim milk. It was sweet and delicious. Definitely kept me warm in the really cold weather. The staff are extremely friendly. The customers were even kind. The interior is so pretty and big. There are two floors I believe. There is seating on the first and on the second, but I think both are closed now. There's a Little City Books INSIDE of the cafe! What more could you ask for? I also love the touches of flowers. They are also selling some products that you see when you walk in. I noticed natural soaps and repurposed cups. There's a lot more of a selection but I couldn't stay for long to check it out. Definitely returning to try something else!

This is probably the cutest coffee place I have been to. The lemon poppy seed cake was SOOO GOOD! Great ambience, chill vibe. There also a space to work upstairs. And the named plants were a hilarious touch!

Lovely cafe tucked away under the viaduct. It's a rather large space which has two levels - tables inside on the ground level as well as upstairs and outdoor seating based on the weather. The advantage is that since it's under the viaduct, it's protected from the rain if not the wind. It's pretty well frequented and they have a decent menu for both breakfast and lunch. I ordered the Cous Cous Bowl which was absolutely phenomenal! It comes with two thick slices of freshly baked toasty bread slathered in a to-die-for Olive Tapenade! Fantastic melange of flavors and textures with a perfectly soft center half boiled egg! It was very filling and I wouldn't have finished it if it wasn't so, so good! They also have a little shop tucked away in the corner which has a nice selection of trendy looking items.

    Lavender cold brew
    Julianne A.

Extremely clean and beautiful facility. I have been to the location on Washington too. The drink wasn't as good as the first time I had it. I think I got the end of the cold brew because there were grounds in my drink. The staff also just didn't acknowledge me really. They just wanted me to place the order and leave. Maybe I just got them at an off day. It was Monday mid day and it wasn't super busy and it was a beautiful day. They also recently renovated and there is plenty of space and room. Love the style of it. The retail area is super cute, just very expensive. Overall it's a convenient location and on the way to Lincoln tunnel from Hoboken!

There was only one other family dining, and the space stayed empty the entire time. The service was genuinely great. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and a really cute, cozy space. I especially loved the Christmas décor and overall vibe--it felt warm and inviting. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the prices. The house salad was $13 and honestly one of the most basic, smallest, and most boring salads I've ever had--very underwhelming for the cost. We also ordered quesadillas, a cheeseburger with fries, and grilled cheese with tomato soup. My son enjoyed the burger and fries, and the quesadillas were flavorful, generously filled with chicken and veggies, and came with sour cream, pico, and guac. The tomato soup was tasty, while the grilled cheese was just okay. One small but appreciated detail: canned soda. Cold, crisp, and not flat which is always a win. Lunch for 3 came in just under $100, which felt high given what we received. One frustration was being seated in a tight corner right next to the kitchen even though the dining room was completely empty. We were so close I could literally see into the kitchen and count items on the shelves. On top of that, the hostess repeatedly walked by calling out "corner," which became distracting and honestly a bit irritating. Overall, I liked the vibe, but the food-to-price ratio missed the mark for me. It wasn't bad--just alright.
