Service: I do pay attention to service, as that is actually the action or event serving as an introduction to something more important that will follow. Who would not want to be treated nicely when served, and these employees are awesome! 3. Food: We actually came in for the afternoon coffee and found out they serve food. So lets get to the coffee review. The most interesting thing about coffee is the taste, coffee should taste like coffee, have an aroma of smoke, stone, dark chocolate, earthy flavor and that is what I always look for, coffee should not taste like hot milk or water. Some may say that flavor is subjective. I can attest that when I drank my cold signature coffee, (they do come with a variety of flavors to choose from) especially the caramel one, I could taste the fleshly grounded coffee flavor in it. I've visited BW Blacksmith coffee a bunch, and I'm a fan! There are actually three different locations in Lake City: one off of US-90, one off of 47, and this one off of 247. I mention this, because I've been to all three locations and love the consistency across the different shops. That means a lot to me. All three locations have a drive-thru, and I love how convenient it is. It makes it easy to stop by before work or on my lunch break for a quick latte. I must mention that the staff at all three locations are phenomenal. I am v. picky in general so I like to know what's in things beforehand. They are always friendly and helpful, answering all of my questions about what's in the different drinks. I'm obsessed with the Caramel Sweet Cream! You can easily make it dairy-free (DF) by choosing Almond, Oat, or Coconut milk + no whipped cream. I also enjoyed the cold forged turtle latte, it was a nice frozen treat. Great pick me up for work. Finally tried the food recently and it was delicious. It tasted fresh and made to order, which is impressive. I ordered a homemade egg and cheese biscuit sandwich. They have breakfast all day y'all, which is my favorite meal. Be sure to check out their chalkboard with the special drinks they have each month. I tried the new "Irish Lad" Sweet Cream last week, which is a drink special for March. I loved the green whipped cream and gold sprinkles! I actually did not get coffee but did get a burger--and at this location they also do burgers, salads, some sandwiches as well as their famous coffee. Their bacon cheeseburger and fries was perfectly fine--not really anything exceptional or distinct, but perfectly fine burger all the same. The interior is rustic, country, cowboy-themed and I learned rather much to my surprise this is a chain based out of Montana and their Lake City locations are some of very few outside Montana, which is kind of weird but cool nonetheless. The service however could have been better: I had to wait at the counter for about five minutes before any staff appeared, then it was a girl who shouted "one minute" and went to wait on drive-thru coffee customers instead. Then, a man and woman appeared and apparently the man was a new worker and the lady a manager and she had to show him how to clock in. Then, and only then, did she take my order. I was not in a hurry so I wasn't too upset by this but had I been in a hurry I'd have just left and not come back--ever. They had three employees in there, I should not have had to wait over ten minutes total to place my order. So a word to all businesses: customers right in front of you are equal to phone calls, equal to drive-thru customers. Do not presume because we're in your physical building we're any less urgent. LOVE this place! Awesome food. We had the burger, Reuben, corn nuggets, and fried pickles, and it was all amazing. Atmosphere is really cool with utilitarian touches and blacksmith theme. We ate at a table with crayons and colored pickles, which my little one enjoyed. There's even a tech table with outlets and a TV with controllers. Everything is clean, including the bathrooms. Music was not too loud and included Christian music, which was really nice. There'a a private section in the back, which would make a great party space. We're looking forward to coming back and trying the desserts. read more

We had a western breakfast wrap. It was fantastic! I didn't take a picture because we dug right in. My husband and I split one. It was filling. We loved the stringy cheese and peppers (banana peppers added the perfect tang). The tortilla was soft but strong. :) service was friendly. We will return! Suggestion: Put the breakfast items on a handheld menu and include a description. It was hard to read the small print on the overhead sign and we had to ask the friendly gal what was in each wrap to help us decide. read more

Great Burgers fries are the battered type(not my personal favorite) were suppose to be seasoned but really could not tell they were seasoned. The reuben sandwich here is absolutely one of the best I've ever had, but unfortunately, ordering anything else turned out to be too much work. We already knew the reuben was good, so when my buddy and I went yesterday, he got the reuben. I was in the mood for something else, so I asked to see a menu. I was told there are no menus. Instead, I was shown pictures of their offerings on the wall. There were pictures of sandwiches and wraps, and under each one was a cute name, but there were no descriptions, so I had no idea what might be in each one. Rather than ask for a rundown of everything on the menu, I decided I just wasn't hungry enough to make that much work out of ordering lunch, so I didn't order anything. Every restaurant and deli on earth has a menu describing their offerings...except this place. WTF??? This is the best restaurant, by far, that I have been to in recent memory. The burgers here are huge, creative, fresh, and amazing!! The coffee is so good. The desserts - don't even get me started. Traveling between family in Florida and home outside of Houston, Texas, my husband did a search for us to find a place for lunch. He saw the name, and since he too is a Blacksmith himself, he felt it important to support local and blacksmiths, we exited I-10 at exit 234 and began our trek to Lake Ciry, Florida. The drive is quiet, scenic, historic, interesting, and most of all, so worth going to Lake City. Finding the location without issue, BW Blacksmiths is set up on the end of a small strip store and easily seen. Walking in, a wonderfully enthusiastic and grand smiling Kelsey greeted us. More than her first impression made, Kelsey secured our appetites with her descriptive explanation of the signature Gourmet Burgers that are served at BW Blacksmiths Deli and Grill. My husband ordered the Big Cheddar and Bacon burger, which is one of the double pattied burgers, and I could not resist her description of the Big Hoss with fried pickles on the top of the double pattied burger. Ordering their tots for my side, the onion rings for my hubby, with the fresh brewed ice tea, I had the large Forged Fuel black coffee. The ambiance is spotless, friendly, comfortable, and decorated with tongue in cheek sayings that are quite funny. Kelsey came out with a few of the amazing fries that are so delicately crunchy and seasoned fries that she is also proud of. The first sip of my coffee I knew that I have not tasted coffee this smooth and delicious ever. Having a bite of the seasoned french fry, both my husband and I were very impressed. The crunch on the outside was delicious with a soft, perfect potato inside. Our food was prompt, burgers worth a 26-mile drive were juicy, flavorful, and completely delicious. Desiree, who also works there, came by our table to see what she could do to make our visit better. Our visit was most endearing. The only negative we can state is that there is not a BW Blacksmiths near Houston, Tx. In a state that is known for beef, this wonderful family owned jewel would be the highlight of burgers there! First time visit and it sucked! I ordered soft scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, and hash browns. The eggs were overdone and burnt, literally brown on the top and bottom. I sent them back and received a batch of mixed burnt eggs with an American single thrown on top, not even melted. The bacon was half overdone and half limp, I nearly chipped a tooth with how hard it was cooked. The hash browns are not hash brown, but tater tots. The iced coffee I ordered was the weakest ice coffee I have ever experienced; I recommend them soaking the espresso beans for 24hrs longer. Being a chef myself I was excited by the menu and the pictures, but now that I have experienced the food...total trash. The service was good though. read more

I asked for the Cinco de mayo horchata coffee this morning and I asked for it to be blended. And the girl was like I can mix it up but I can't blend it. Legitly I just asked her to throw it in the blender and blend it. It's not inability is unwillingness. She wouldn't. So when I Waite 35 mins spent 25 dollars on 2 small coffees and two terrible quality bacon egg and cheese biscuits she hands me the coffee not even mixed like she said it would be. I was in the mood for coffee and haven't been to this location but once for the coffee and decided to stop on by again but get brunch as well. I ordered a "Mushroom Swiss Burger" with corn nuggets as my side, mozzarella cheese sticks, a "Breakfast BW Deluxe Sandwich", and a "Pumpkin Sweet Cream" iced coffee. To begin, the BW Deluxe Sandwich; it comes with eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, and it's smothered in Swiss and American cheese. I chose the option to have it on a bagel instead, it came to me on bread. I'm questioning if I was even in the mood for food but I didn't really enjoy it too well. The bacon which was probably the biggest reason I ordered the sandwich, it had the structure / texture of the pre-cooked bacon you get from the store. There was not many pieces as well though it is a "shame on me" for not having ordered extra bacon because it was a pretty typical amount you see from a restaurant. I can't deduct many points for anything but the fact it wasn't on a bagel and I didn't really enjoy it. I also ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger, advertised to be quarter pound patties on a white buttery bun with Swiss cheese, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, lettuce and tomato. I'm not too sure if I got the right burger but I had red peppers, banana peppers, green peppers, onion, and mushroom on my burger. No tomato, no lettuce. A bit disappointing because I'm not a big fan of those peppers and I was really wanting lettuce and tomato. The patties themselves were MASSIVE, I read quarter pound patties and didn't even question the size though I've had 1/4 patties many times before - I ordered a triple. I ended up giving a patty to my dog because how huge the burger was. A single or double may be enough should you order here. The patty were juicy though a bit under seasoned. For my sides, the corn nuggets... it's CORN! Very sweet corn. Good crispy on the outside yet fluffy on the inside breading. Probably the best thing I ate on the plate and was the only thing I finished. Mozzarella sticks are mozzarella sticks. They had the pull, the cheese did in fact taste like cheese. Not much more you could say about that. The pumpkin sweet cream was delicious, I initially only ordered from anywhere because I wanted coffee and it did not disappoint. I'm not sure if it's the espresso but the coffee is a bit bitter, I'm not a huge coffee guy knowing all the terminology or how to identify what flavor profile is attached to ingredient in the various amount of different coffees but I knew this place had strong bitter notes in the coffee which I personally love. After finishing the drink, I am taking a guess that's what espresso is and I'd recommend a double or triple shot because it's delicious. The espresso (assumingly) mixed with the sweet cream was a treat and while contrasting; such a well-working combination like sweet and salty or sweet and spicy. There wasn't any pumpkin flavor in the coffee itself, there was drizzle on the sides of the cup to give it the flavor which I figure is worth mentioning if you're not someone who could identify what these different coffee ingredients are. You can ask for pumpkin spice coffee syrup to mix in for a stronger pumpkin flavor though. It is possible a lot of these could have been avoided on my end if I called to make sure the custom options in the order were looked at. I would be open to trying it again if only the order were wrong but with me not enjoying the flavor either I don't see a reason to order food from here again but I'll mention again that I also just seem to have not been in the mood for food today either. However, I'll be back for the coffee with a triple espresso shot for sure. Very addicting flavor. read more

I went to BW because I hadn't had it in a while and the last time I went it was such a long wait in the drive through. But I was craving it so I was like ok well I have nothing else better to do and so I went to get it. At first when I pulled up there were to vehicles in front of me and i thought it wasn't too bad so then I waited. I was waiting for 15 minutes and we had yet to move and the vehicle in front of me pulled out to leave. Then after they left the car that was now in front me pulled up to the speaker and immediately was helped and pulled to the window. When I pulled up to the speaker the employee had a attitude from the start and said that it would be a FEW minutes, and i said that was fine and no worries, because I understand I have worked fast food. The car that had ordered before me had got their order as soon as they reached the window. After another 15 minutes I was finally helped again with attitude from the employee. I ordered a mac and cheese bowl and a sweet tea. simple. I then pull up to the window it's about 10 minutes until they come and take my payment. Then another 10 minutes until I received my food. That is 50 minutes in a drive through on top of rude customer service... I would consider myself a very patient and understanding person but it wasn't busy inside the restaurant either. Have been there three times, food is average and the service was terrible. Has taken between 20 and 45 minutes each time for lunch, with no crowd, onion rings tasted like they were cooked in burnt oil, and they were actually burnt and very greasy. Have had their pastrami, no flavor, tasted like it came off the back of a restraint supply truck, sliced and served. There three times in the past month and WiFi has never worked, mentioned to servers got an "ok" but never worked after a hour from ordering my burger to finishing my lunch, 35 minutes to get my meal. If you have plenty of time to wait on your $10.00+ sandwiches sitting in warn out booths then this is the place for you. They should stick with coffee........ read more

This little coffee spot is tucked inside Ray's Deli. There isn't much signage on the door, so I was a bit confused. The coffee was pretty good. If you want anything to eat, go can get that from Ray's. There was plenty of seating and I was able to get on their wifi for my work meeting with no problem. Nice little spot! read more
