It was supposed to be gluten free bread with egg and cheese and veggies. When I got on the ferry I realized there were no veggies and the cheese was a different cheese than I ordered. Unfortunately since I didn't know then if maybe I got the wrong sandwich I did not eat it because I needed the gluten-free bread and I did not think this very awesome bread was gluten free. Or should I say it was not confident that it was since there were no veggies and I got the wrong cheese. Anyway I will be back and next time I will check my sandwich before I get on the ferry.

We go here everytime we have 10 minutes or more before the next boat. This time I got a lavendar latte with oat milk. This can be a risky drink to get because often the syrup is too bitter. I come here every Thursday morning and I am never disappointed with the service or coffee. Usually just one Barista when they open but they always seem happy to be there and go above and beyond by bringing the food and drink out to the table. I was a barista for years, and when I tell you Dillanos is where it's at, there is nothing that compares to Dillanos coffee. Before I found this gem, the only other stand I knew about that sells Dillanos is about 25 min away in Silverdale. So this alone already made me love this place. I have been a couple times now during different times of the day. The coffee is ALWAYS on point (but duh, it's Dillanos) and the baristas are always so nice and bubbly! I met the owner today while getting coffee and she was so fun to talk with! Another thing this stand has that makes me love them more is the breakfast burrito and wraps! They are made by a Bainbridge company called Its A Wrap. They are the most delicious burritos and wraps I have had. I used to get them at the ferry when working in bainbridge, and so excited they sell them here. I love this place is less then 5 min from my house, and they not only have exceptional coffee but great food options and really nice baristas. I definitely recommend trying this gem out of your ever in Port Gamble. I'm so happy to find my coffee spot!

Caffe Cocina "The Good, the bad, and the ugly"…read more Caffe Cocina is surprisingly busy, perhaps due the the Finn Hill Road drive through? I have very mixed feelings about this local Poulsbo, and soon to be Silverdale, establishment. The good: Caffe Cocina's food is arguably the best reason to visit one of their cafes. In particular, the chicken chorizo breakfast burritos are really delicious! The drink selection is extensive with some innovative twists on lattes and other coffee and tea based drinks. Unfortunately, I really judge a coffee shop on its ability to brew a really flavorful cup of black coffee - I will come back to that later in the review. The bad - The Finn Hill road location has mediocre to bad customer service depending on the day and the shift. Unless you are a charismatic individual under the age of 30, you are likely to be received with no shortage of attitude and general disdain...as if it is your pleasure to be ignored for as long as possible and then to have your order taken with the type of apathy that I would normally approach a Monday morning work conference call where you know you are going to have to listen to that one coworker that seems enamored with their ability to ask questions on points already sufficiently covered...I digress. The downtown location has much friendlier service, so head there if you do not require drive through services. The ugly - The coffee and coffee beans, probably tolerable if you are having an espresso-based drink, but I would shy away from the drip coffee and the beans for brewing coffee at home. The coffee is frankly over roasted, too oily, and decidedly one note for most of the beans that I have tried. I have sampled dark, medium, light roasts and single origins and have not tried anything worth recommending. Should this have been a 3 or a 4 star review? That depends on the location you are visiting and what you are visiting for. If you simply focus on the downtown location, I would by default increase this to a (4) star review due to the excellent customer service and the fact that they offer a pour over (unfortunately, the coffee is still mediocre). If you are visiting the Finn Hill location for anything other than the food, I stand by my (3) star review which is frankly generous given my experience most visits.
