Would never go back or recommend this to anyone! We showed up at 10:30 and we were sat right away. Then she took our orders and told us she would put in our ticket in 10 minutes because the kitchen was backed up. We said thats Ok, you think about 20 minutes in total till we get our food? She said Oh not even, probably less! So we waited, and got our drinks first. When we got our drinks two of the cups still had lipstick from the last people! I asked for new cups and the waitress acted unsurprised, like it happens all the time. Well we waited, and we kept waiting... No one around us got food, and WE never got food! Finally an hour later at 11:30 when we saw her again we asked what the hold up was? She said she had JUST put in our ticket and "She is not a cook, so she doesn't know how long it takes to cook eggs." She had nothing else to say and just stood and stared at us! At the end of the day we NEVER got food, the service was terrible and they apparently don't wash their cups in between customer's! Would never go back or recommend this to anyone! read more

Minus the casinos in Biloxi, I know close to nothing about the local food scene. Enter the Yelp app, a hankering for hash browns, and I'm suddenly on my way to Buzzy's, which was truly buzzing with people inside and out. This is the consummate local joint and a popular one at that. The place is really a home converted into a doggy loving, NOLA themed restaurant. It's not a very big house, but enough to have a decent sized parking lot, one bathroom, and outdoor seating with some limited inside seating. Groups beyond 4 may struggle here, but I am sure they get big groups (especially on the weekends) all the time. After a short wait, my party and I were seated inside for some much needed air conditioning (#1) and we got to check out the ultra simple menu, which had prices as low as $3 for various items. I don't think we spent more than $25 to feed a group of 4. I forgot prices like this existed in 2019. And while they accept credit cards, they don't take bills above $50. Once the food arrived, I understood immediately why the prices were what they were: the portions are pretty small. My scrambled eggs were more like folded eggs and the hashbrowns was a square portion. The sausage was tasty, albeit a tad greasy. Within minutes I was done with my breakfast. And while I was hungry, it took me very little time to devour the meal. While I wasn't exactly full, I was content and I actually appreciated the simplicity of it all. Lastly, I thought the tye-dye staff was a hoot. I practically felt like I was eating breakfast somewhere in Oregon, but the Mississippi crowd semi-threw me into a loop. The experience was just like eating at someone's home and less so of a restaurant. I'm not sure I would be a frequent customer to Buzzy's, but I appreciate the vibe. read more

Went by this morning after reading the Yelp reviews. Ordered the pancakes, eggs over easy and bacon (great bacon). Taking a cue from an old guy in the restaurant, I placed my eggs onto the pancakes and began eating. Very good breakfast, not a religious experience but very good! Service was quick and friendly and the coffee was good. Right in the heart of downtown Ocean Springs and close to the casinos in Biloxi. 11/24/2019. Another visit to Buzzy's and I have upgraded from 4 stars to 5 stars. Ordered the same as before. Never leave without getting the thick cut bacon. The appearance on the outside is quaint and homey. Atmosphere is decent. But that's the good part. We both ordered the two eggs (fried) and turkey sausage with hash browns. We asked for onions in the hash browns and were told , "ok". When our meal came out, eggs were done perfectly but the hash browns were obviously a previously frozen product as well as the turkey sausage. The "butter" at the table wasn't even real butter (pictured). Biscuits weren't homemade either. While the service was fine, if you're searching for that awesome southern breakfast experience. Don't search here. It appears that the only thing not frozen is the fried eggs because you just can't fake that. The rest of our breakfast was comprised of frozen food that we probably have in our own freezer. Ok, chalk up another restaurant to two visits in one. First and last. read more

Dog friendly breakfast place. With good food and decent prices. The staff here is super nice and the owner always comes around to say hello. This is a cozy little spot hidden away on the older streets. We went due to decently good reviews. My overall feeling is that it was a one time thing for me and nothing special. The staff is friendly and the food is good, average food. It simply is that and not much more so don't expect to be blown away. The building seems to be a very old building which used to be a house now converted into a restaurant. The walls and such are nicely painted. My biggest problem were the roaches. To me, food and roaches don't mix for a good experience. The first was a large one that was dead on the side of the first table we quickly moved from. The second roach was scurrying across the floor multiple times unnoticed by anyone but me and eventually stepped on by customers who were leaving. It lay there dead in the middle of the dining room until we left. Sorry but this is a clear sign of uncleanliness and a pest problem that appears to be common by my observations. Again, the food was good and average but I can only give 2 stars. One for the staff and one for the food and attempted atmosphere. We won't be back to Buzzy's. read more

I had an omelette and wife had eggs with sausage also came with hash browns Both tasted good - I always love when the toast comes to the table hot & "toasted". Service was good. Our waitress was attentive- kept our coffee cups full. Quaint little house made into a restaurant. Never would have found this without Yelp. Nestled on quiet walkable streets in this little town called Ocean Springs. We were seated right away. This is a small venue but it has seating outside in front and back. January 21, and the weather was good enough to sit outside. I had the breakfast tacos with hash browns. The food was adequate, the service was great. Serving sizes were small. I think most places serve too much food anyway. If I was a local I'd eat there often. This restaurant has a cool idea with being dog themed. But the cook needs to figure out how to cook. My hashbrowns had a very weird taste to them and were barely cooked when I ordered them well done. I feel like I could have cooked a better breakfast in my microwave at my hotel room. This is my second attempt at trying to find a decent local breakfast joint in the area and have failed miserably. A first-time visit to find customer service to be about average and food to be average. My wife and I had the two egg omelets, her drink was tea and I ordered coffee. The omelets came with three picks of ingredients plus cheese of your choice. It should have been more choices as onions and peppers were choices. Each added ingredient was $0.50. The omelets were mid-sized and not typical omelet flavor like many I have enjoyed elsewhere. The waitress first brought unsweet tea and then upon request replaced it with sweet tea. Once consumed it was once again replaced with unsweet tea. We didn't have the heart to tell her. The coffee was good. The omelets were $6.99 each and the drinks $2.00 each, so a not so great breakfast was $20.69 plus a $4.00 tip. read more

Oh my goodness. What I ordered was horrible; no exaggeration. I got a ham and cheese omelet "easy on the onion" with hash browns and it came with a biscuit. The biscuit was the best part; I actually liked the fact that it was hard like it was a toasted biscuit. The hash browns were oily- like with an off flavor like they used some oil that they cooked something else with. And the omelet man I tell ya. Mounds and piles of onions in it and not small onions but big onions. Might as well been a onion omelet. It overpowered the dish. And it looked like they cooked the omelet in oil. Everybody knows you cook eggs in butter. And the super small cubed ham, u couldn't taste at all. It was a really bad omelet. Will never ever never visit this place again. Decided to stop in to have breakfast with the hubby and the little man because I had booked marked buzzy's over 3 months prior. Based on the reviews, we ordered the coffee: It was not as special as everyone was raving about. It was the Community brand, nothing out of this world. Needless to say it was good, but not special. My husband ordered an omelet which was good, but again not special. The pancakes were okay, again, Not special. Basically all the food tasted like an average individual could make at home. Gave Buzzys 3 starts because the service was really good. Our waitress basically handled the entire restaurant and handled the cash register! She was really sweet, and patient with our toddler. The atmosphere is of a old historical house. Hard wood floors, some beaded board here and there. It is a great place to hang out after a night out or to read a book. The kitchen is so close, as soon as the food is up, with in minutes it's on your table. I love food cooked just for me. This place has that feeling. The eggs are fluffy and they know how to poach them. I like my coffee hot and crisp, just like grandmas house. I give them a five star for performance, style, taste and priced just right. read more

I ordered a Coke, which was $2 a CAN. For breakfast, I ordered a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich. Our food came FORTY FIVE MINUTES later, and of course my sandwich was missing the cheese and was cold. The "ham" was a 3"circle of Canadian bacon that covered less than half of the Walmart bread it was made on. My husband enjoyed his breakfast, but by the time or food came, it was time for lunch.
