My potential ability in purchasing a Patagonia Retro-X jacket. He explicitly said, "Wait, is he gonna grab it?" in a manner that was clearly implying that they have a culture of talking about customers and their ability to make purchases. I would have let it slide just to the point where I overheard him and never have written this review however to my dismay, this seemingly took a turn for the worse when this store boy also noticed that I overheard him, presumably feeling the need to confirm the speculation, approached me directly. In what can only be described as a questioning tone, he asked if I was indeed planning to grab the jacket. This not only felt invasive, condescending but also insinuated my integrity as a customer. The entire encounter left me feeling frustrated and disheartened, as it significantly detracted from what was supposed to be an enjoyable day exploring the charming Deep Cove and its local shops. Customer experiences should be characterized by professionalism, respect, and a genuine desire to assist, none of which were exemplified during my visit to A'hoy by this boy they have employed there, who clearly lacks the emotional quotient. On average, each customer is likely trying on at least 2 to 3 different shoe models and/or sizes, and the Vessi staff managed to service everyone quickly, bringing out one or more shoe boxes at once, while maintaining a courteous manner. Prior to Vessi, I was shopping at a different shoe store in Metrotown with no lineup; yet it is very noticeable how that store didn't match Vessi in staff's service quality. It's nice that Vessi has a physical store to try on their different style and see how the shoe fits.
