May I suggest to the management to try to put up something for the children to play with so that they can come and increase the no of people. Put up wifi so that other can come and use wifi.there should be no time limit at the food court. You want people to stay not run away. As a young teen, I'd spend weekends with my grandma in Maple Ridge, where she'd take me to Haney Place! At the time - mid 1980's - the mall was great, even though it was a step behind Coquitlam Centre. That's not the case anymore though. I do like shopping at the Thrifty's and I am glad we have a Wal-Mart, but I do wish the local teens had some shops to buy clothes, etc. I do see some positive changes recently. However, Maple Ridge is a growing community, and I'd like to see a mall that can better serve our population! read more

A mall who has fallen a few notches having once had a major grocery store and my previous favorite mariposa store. Now contains a few small clothing stores, a bakery, dollar store, hockey jersey store, tailor, nail salon, the source, telus store, two book stores, health store, travel agency, Jewellers store and a small food fair. read more

This mall is great for the size of town it represents. If you want a giant mall go to Coquitlam Centre!!

this was the worst experience i've ever had at a mall ever. me and my dad were standing outside of one of its pathetic stores, (the vintage video game store.) waiting for my sister to finish looking at the games. my dad and me were standing by an emergency exit. let me make it clear we were standing. not doing anything but standing. when three security guards came up to us. this old short women with a very thick accent told us that there were "cameras everywhere." and told us "we are always being watched." and that "they need to keep the door closed so homeless people don't come in." implying we looked homeless. then they walked away, mind you they didn't go far as to keep a close eye on us. at first it was funny. then the more we thought about it, the more it pissed us off. they kept a very close eye on us. we went up to them to ask for there names to report there respectful behaviour. when they said "we're not giving you our names why do you want to complain?" we said because of the disrespect we were met with. they replied with "oh please do!" we will not be going back. read more

I can never recommend this mall again! Yesterday morning, LONG before the mall opened, working parents were dropping their kids off at daycamp. They used the far corner of the empty parking lot (because the mall isn't open at 8AM) for about 15 minutes. The mall sent over a parking enforcement person and had them all ticketed. When the mall management was questioned as to why they would do this to a bunch of parents when the mall wasn't even OPEN, they passed the blame and insisted that their vendors wanted this done. Really? Because I am going to contact every place in the mall that I normally shop and tell them that as it is so important to them that the parking lot be kept empty for those 15 minutes WHEN THE MALL IS NOT OPEN, then I will shop elsewhere I have now heard back from one of the businesses at the mall, very nice that they are so fast to respond. Two of the stores and the food court are open at 8am. I was unaware that two of the stores in the mall and the food court were open earlier, as the mall hours are listed on their website as opening at 9:30am. That is a big discrepancy for people that think the mall is not open until 9:30am and therefore they are not inconveniencing anyone in the empty parking lot. read more

Haney Bakery has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Would highly recommend not supporting this business. I placed and order for Tuesday and was on my way out there from Port Coquitlam when I received a call that they messed up my order. The man that called was very apologetic and said he would discount my order if I could pick up another day. I told him I would try Wednesday. I called Wednesday and said I just couldn't get there and would be there Thursday morning. When I got there the manager was extremely rude, wouldn't give me the discount promised. I said that was terrible and her response was then don't order from us again! I was shocked. Told her I would write a complaint to the BBB. Her response was, I will keep you phone number so you can never order from here again. Just stunned! Merry Christmas to you too! I will report to BBB and social media. Hello all. I am writing this review about Haney Place Mall. The management of this mall is ludicrous namely Raycene mall administrator, my girlfriend's car was damaged by a contractor (Hay's Roofing Surrey) working on the mall, this information was relayed to the staff of the mall immediately. The admin. staffer stated the damage was the result of the contractor and therefore we wash our hands of this whole incident. The damage occurred on Sept. 19th/2012 it is now Nov. 27th/2012 with no resolution to the issue at hand. My girlfriend has been the victim of damage to her personal property and had to pay her deductible as per I.C.B.C. policy. No problem however she has not had it payed back. The mall says not our problem. My girlfriend is being victimized twice by this roofing company that has to my knowledge a 4 year contract with the mall. My girlfriend has been off work for a few months now due to an injury, she has been just skimming by, was almost evicted last month due to lack of money, She has been in need of a proper knee brace for two months now that she is unable to afford it because the $300.00 has not been payed back by the mall, the contractor and or I.C.B.C. I had advised the mall if something was not to be done about this I would take action and start telling everybody as a 30+ year customer of this mall, I am doing this post due to the response of Raycene mall Admin. had stated to me "that not fair" should my girlfriend be almost evicted NO that's not FAIR nor is the fact that she has been without a seriously needed knee brace, THAT'S NOT FAIR at all. MY GIRFRIEND HAS BEEN THE VICTOM TWICE IN THIS SITUATION. Victimized by Hay's Roofing, Haney Place Mall (admin.) and of course the people we love to hate I.C.B.C. The mall will pay it's Contractor's like nothing ever happened and continue with the contract at hand and let a young lady suffer because they will not put pressure on their contractor to resolve this issue. After 30+ years of a dedicated shopper living in Maple Ridge I will take my money elsewhere we have approx. 80+ family and friends that due to the inaction of the Mall and it's Contractor's will also be shopping elsewhere. Getting a Roof done??? stay away from Hay's Roofing chances are you will get screwed like the mall is doing to my girlfriend. Oh by the way I looked up this Company on the BBB and apparently they went OUT of BUSINESS and is no longer accredited by the BBB.
