For an outlet style mall close to the city, this is as good as it gets. They are slowly starting to get more stores and I hope they will continue to do so. You do however, need to dig through the racks. Most items weren't able to sell in the regular stores and that's how they ended up here. But if you look hard enough, you'll find some really great pieces. A floor length dress at BCBG for $100? Score!

High voltage lines and railroad crossing in parking area~

Nice giant strip mall in the middle of suburbia. There really isn't much else out here, other than the nearby casino complex. Parking is plentiful, as far as the eye can see. There are plenty of clothing stores, but usually I'm just here for the Walmart. The land to build this mall must've been quite cheap, since the complex is literally split in half in one direction by high voltage lines, and in the other direction by railroad tracks. From what it looks like, when there is a train going through, the N side the mall is completely cut off from the rest of the world. They better hope that a train doesn't break down in the middle of the crossing, or nobody is going home.

I live just in the border of new west and Burnaby, this location is only 5 minutes from me (depending on the Queensborough bridge traffic). Originally this place was my go to for Walmart, best buy... But now it's become some what of an "outlet mall" stores include Bench, AX, Guess, Mexx, Gap, Aldo, quiksilver, below the belt so on. If you' re looking for deals it's definitely cheaper than regular mall prices and I find it not as busy. I know most of us like to go down to the States for our cheap outlet shopping, this place hits the spot and i dont have to wait to cross the border and no limit!!! Somewhat of a weird layout, the walkways to different parts of the mall don't connect but otherwise it's not a bad place to shop for good deals. Happy shopping!

Great view of Fraiser River for little used mall dock

This Mall has a very odd layout for a place that is anchored by a Walmart with a range of US based retailers and some local based restaurant chains. I prefer outdoor malls because there are more walking opportunities to burn off energy between spending experiences. If you look closely the Mall has a walkway/bikeway the runs right through the center of the property. Don't worry the cars don't seem to notice people safely walking from store to store. Behind the Quicksilver Outlet there is a path to a dock with a with a nice view of the Frasier River.(see photo)

I used to like this mall back in the 1990s when it was more vibrant than now. Like what some Yelpers reviewed, you do see many seniors in this mall, with walkers, canes and wheelchairs.Maybe New Westminster has a higher senior demographic now. In any case, the saving grace for this mall is truly Walmart and Save-On Food. Ardene outlet store with its deep discount of up to 70% off is also a draw. The food court is also sad, you are better off dining outside. The upper level seemed to be mostly medical clinics. I hope there will be more interesting tenants setting up shop here in the future. For now, I come here mostly for Walmart.

An axe seemed to fall a couple of years ago, when Zellers, and many other offerings left, and the selection of 'what' remained really collapsed. I have definitely noted some shopping improvements since then, especially with additions of Wal-Mart (occupying the vacated Zeller's space), the large Shopper's Drug and Dollarama stores, and the Save On Foods supermarket coming in to occupy a more recent departure, and thankfully, the continued presence of Kin's Farm Market. For me though, the Centre has basically become an out-of-the-weather place to go for a walk and browse when in the area, and possibly catch a breakfast sandwich or burger at A&W in the Food Court, or couple of fresh bananas at Kin's, to enjoy during my walkabout. It's definitely not one of my places to do any serious shopping -- a couple of the "feature attractions", because of their inflated prices (imo), do not catch my shopping attention when they are located 'anywhere', and Wal-Mart's morning opening time is too late for my personal shopping convenience. It's nice to see 'West Coast Medical Imaging' located on the upper floor. I have used one their facilities elsewhere, and have always respected the quality of service I mI provided. I miss too much of what Royal City Centre used to have and offer, to rate it any higher in its present state.

And over these years, the Centre has become a favourite place to drop into for some browsing and shopping, especially before my morning appointments. At street level, there's a McDonalds restaurant (handy for a breakfast snack if/when the mood catches me), and Care Point Medical Centre at the lower end, and a TD Canada Trust, Starbucks, and London Drugs (opens at 8 am - yeah!!) at the upper end, with Yanni's Greek Restaurant, a barber shop, and a selection of other shops at each end, and in-between. The New West office of the Retina Surgical Associates is located on the second floor of the upper end (have been there, done that a couple of times). And a big plus, there are two, good-sized levels of under cover, no-charge parking -- great when arriving by personal vehicle, and requiring sufficient parking time to cover longer medical appointment, and such. A Buy-Low Foods supermarket used to be located at the lower end of the Mall, but I recently read on the internet it has now permanently closed. No particular loss for me, I always found offerings at that store very over-priced, and seldom purchased anything there. But sure hope for the sake of local shoppers, that something moves into the location before too long, to help bolster their food shopping potentials in the area. A stop into the Westminster Centre has become a significant and fun part of my travel routines to New West, especially when heading there for my eye, and related medical appointments.

A very quiet mall most of the time, especially on weekends…read more There is nothing much here and you will only come here for specific businesses located here. It is not a shopping or eating place. The upper level seemed to be filled with kids' activities and a CPA office. Plus the washroom which is clean and spacious. Inside the mall, you get a mini food court with only 2 stalls - Korean run burger place (IT Char which is excellent!) and a Japanese sushi place (Woomi - never tried), a music school, salon, dollar store, liquor store, cobbler, game area, fresh produce and others. Outside on the strip mall section, there are Starbucks, Pizza Hut, pho place, booster juice, sally beauty supply, nail salon, etc with Safeway as the anchor tenant. Parking lot outside is big with plenty of spots. Be careful to park at the 2 hour side as they are very diligent in checking the 30 mins only section. Many have gotten tickets there. I guess it is a good thing this is quite a boring mall as it makes running errands or grabbing a bite easy here. Less wait and no worry about parking. The Nail Salon (Chi Nails) is A+. There is also a Liquor Store, Safeway, Sally Beauty Supply, Starbucks, Subway, Pizza Hut & a Fish and Chips Place.
