This is an interesting mall. There are two popular big chain here: Walmart and T&T. Lots of free parking can be found here. Also there is a food court here. Best of all, it is next the Surrey Central Skytrain. Conveniently located. However, lots of the stores don't interest me. There is a food court here if you are looking for cheap food. read more

This is a pretty decent mall for those living in surrey. Major stores are Walmart, Winners, T&T supermarket, Shoppers Drug Mart, The Brick and Bed Bath and Beyond. There is also a gym plus post office and the canada passport. Shopping for clothes and shoes can be a downer as the shops are quite boring. For banking services it is only Westminster Savings. Food court selection is ok and there are a few restaurants there and a liquor store. It is definitely not a place I'll make a trip out to but for residents here, it is a good mall. read more

Nice clean spacious mall in the heart of Surrey. Parking is available in the nice large lot in front, as well as the multi-storey parkade in the back. The place is still a bit on the empty side. Even though all the stores are there, there really aren't that many people. I'm guessing that most people are really here to work in the office tower attached to the mall, and those who want to shop are probably going to Guildford Town Centre nearby. If compared to Burnaby malls, Central City would be Brentwood, while Guildford would be Metropolis. Special mention goes to the main atrium. Nice and spacious, with a skylight running down the length. I've seen photos of it before but it obviously looks much nicer in person. the other special mention is the food court. While the selection is decent but nothing crazy special, it had the nice busy feel that the rest of the mall should have. The tables and chairs are also some of the nicer ones I've experienced in a mall. read more

Small mall in the city of Surrey that has a satellite SFU campus. You see a lot of young students hanging around and a number of Blenz coffee shops at different locations. There is a T&T Supermarket and a Walmart. It is an okay mall if you are looking for some essential items. read more

RAW CHICKEN. If you like raw chicken burgers, this is the place for you! Four of us ordered food together, two meals came out relatively quickly, the other two was about 30 minutes later. I had a couple of bites of my burger - I looked down and realised the chicken was very raw. I walked out to the food truck to let the chef know (mistakes happen) but was told that it's ok because "the chicken is clean". Yep, the chicken was indeed clean, but it was raw. The chef rolled her eyes and told me a second time it was "clean". This pointless argument went on for a couple of minutes until I realised I was getting nowhere. I told the bar tender instead, and he immediately apologised and refunded me. It may have been a one-off mistake, but we will not come back here, or recommend this place to people. read more

I used to do some work in this mall before the SFU campus ever moved here, so being back here brings some bitter-sweet memories, but to my amazement this place has received a beautiful facelift. This place used to be small, filled with many 'outlet' style shops, what I mean by that is that most of the chain stores would be carrying last seasons styles, and be discounted for a quick sale. There was barely anyone walking this place, and it was utterly depressing. Fast forward to now, where the place has been rebuilt in some ways, floors have been added, an office tower has been added, Futureshop, Bestbuy, and even a T&T are here? Opportunity knocks, especially since there is a Skytrain station right outside the door! When you look up, on the ceiling, there is some beautiful architecture here, with the wooden panel roof, the glass allowing naturual light in, and also knowing that there is a campus on the mall grounds is kinda interesting. Still was not that busy on the Saturday that I was here, but a more comfortable experience besides the other mall here in Surrey! read more

Worst mall so far in all of Vancouver. Only reason it gets one star is it is possible to get a bite to eat and something to drink. Lousy selection of shops with cheap fashion, a dollar store, and others so nondescript I can't even recall them. Not one major bank in the whole place. I had a couple of hours to kill before an appt. in the office building but hard as I tried, I could find nothing of interest here. Oh, there's a Walmart. A pretty awesome mall and location. Right next to the Main Skytrain and bus stations, has just about any store most people would want or need. However, my own personal gripe, We need an Apple Store here!!! Lol The mall walkways are always wide open and clean, bathrooms are also very clean. However, they need more frequent security checks in the male bathrooms, as often when I go there, there's a sketchy guy shooting drugs in one of the stalls. You can hear him muttering and arguing with himself (no joke) Big cafeteria with lots of food selection, and plenty of seating available, with TVs for entertainment. Great hangout spot. Has a children's play area as well, however it's on the small side. I'm overall very satisfied with this mall and location. Perfect for transit users like myself. Good diversity of stores ranging from T&T Supermarket, Future Shop, Zellers, and Winners/Home Sense. The area of the mall has finally took a turn for the good as in the past people would stray away from Central City due to the sketchy people (drug addicts, prostitutes, etc) but now it's super nice. A mall by any other name is still a painful ordeal I hate shopping. I hate malls. I do like Central City better than many, largely because when every other mall in the lower mainland is crawling with people, Central City is not usually that busy. Bonus points for it's convenient location to skytrain, although that particular skytrain station can be a bit on the shady side. There's a reasonable selection of stores here, although missing a couple of the big names you should find everything you need. read more

This is the mall in mah hood. It used to be dead, dead, and deader. What a change it has experienced in recent years! I just went there today and wow, lots of great department type stores, nice variety at the food court, and exciting openings on the way. There were actually swarms of people walking around! I think it is still lacking in the clothing stores, but I'm definitely here for the groceries (T&T), cosmetics (Shoppers), home stuff (Bed Bath & Beyond), and random doo-hickies (Winners). Not bad for a suburban neighbourhood mall. read more

Got some solid anchors in T&T supermarket, Best Buy, Winners, Target, Brick, and its own mini-mall, with the food court. Really is a nice interior and ceiling, feels very open compared to a Metrotown. read more

This is going to sound a little strange but surprisingly I like this quirky mall; it is kinda the little train that could. Lets face it, it is not situated in the best possible area. I always manage to see some strangeness each and everytime I go there and if I leave with a lot of bags, which is usually the case I walk quickly, did I say quickly to the skytrain elevator. When you walk in don't be alarmed it doesn't really look like a mall from the outside. It is in a big complex that houses a SFU branch and they have Central City Brewing Company and Blends right outside but no real signs that it is a mall. What I mean by that is they don't have any store names or anything you just think you are walking into a complex of sorts. It is a pretty dead mall but not in the same way as Brentwood. It is quirky but has some darn good stores and lots of other cool things. For starters they have a Tim Hortons with a large selection of donuts, not just a typical Esso style Timmies with about a dozen kinds, they have it all. They also have a Brick store for furniture shopping right in the mall as well as Bed Bath and Beyond, whooohoo as well as Winners. They have Urban Behaviour, Suzy Shier, a wonderful Blackbond bookstore outlet, Zellers, Ardenes, Future Shop, Best Buy and T&T Grocery. Pretty darn good. Food court isn't too shabby, they have: Subway, KFC, Dairy Queen, Jugo Juice, Pita Express and Taco Bell, mmmm Taco Bell. I like the idea that while it is dead there is still some spirit there. They are really trying to fix the mall up and get A for effort for that. If you shop til you drop, which I usually do you can also slip into one of the booth of the attached Boston Pizza. So some half decent stores there without the crowds. I go about 2 to 3 wknds per month and intend on going there again this weekend. Name a store. Any store. Yup. Central City Shopping Centre's got it. This place is like Narnia. I got lost in here once and ended up wandering around for a good 3 hours or so. The best part of this place is the food court that has options from all different cuisines and the T&T Supermarket downstairs that serves both dim sum and Chinese dishes. This place is an emporium filled with all that is good and wonderful in life. It is a consumer's heaven. The fact that it's attached to a university...kind of odd but I am incredibly jealous of SFU students for being able to get lunch here or go shopping in between classes (although that's probably not a good thing). Another not-so-hidden gem? The dollar store. It's huge and if someone gave me $20 and let me walk around this mall I would be able to score so much stuff. From the dollar store to T&T supermarket to the Shoppers Drug Mart...it's just beautiful. Just try not to get lost because this place is huge. Also, the location is fantastic because it's where all the bus and skytrain stations are. read more

If you happen to attend this SFU campus, then the mall is a VERY convenient way to kill some time between classes. Although it has big anchor stores like Future Shop, T&T, and Target, it's just an okay mall and nothing in particular really draws me here. Despite the "interesting" characters that pass through from time to time, they're relatively harmless and don't really detract from the shopping experience. read more

Unbelievably rude and unprofessional employees T & T Supermarket in Central City, Surrey! The employees at T & T Supermarket in Central City have treated me like absolute crap three times in a row now. On the first two occasions, the women behind the deli style counter completely ignored me. They simply said, "Wait." to me, before I said more than a hello. So I waited 10 minutes the first time and then 5 the second time, both times they were just labelling food packages with price stickers and laughing with one another, as I stood there wondering what I was waiting so long for... Then another customer came to the counter and they helped them IMMEDIETLY!!! Jumped right into action without batting an eye! And just left me standing there! One of the customers had to actually tell the employees that I was first. They were well aware of that though, since they already told me to wait before even asking what I wanted... She just looked at me like, "What do YOU want?" without speaking a word. This happened twice, two days in a row! Unbelievable! Do they think I wouldn't notice or care that everyone was being helped but me?! Did they just expect me to go away if they ignored me for long enough? I don't get it! I don't see how putting stickers on inventory and laughing with your coworker takes priority over a customer standing there, ready to buy something! But I know that's not what happened. They just didn't care to help ME, for whatever reason. Then today, I was given nothing but attitude and ignored when I just simply asked to be let out of a door they had just closed, as I was walking towards it. Fine, I don't HAVE to go out those doors, I can walk around the entire mall to get back inside if I have to, but you can keep that bad attitude to yourself! The level of unprofessional behavior is just amazing to me, I've never seen anything like it. NEVER in my life have I been treated so poorly by an establishment. I highly suggest you shop elsewhere, if this is how they treat people who shop there frequently, I would hate to know what they do (or don't do) behind closed doors with their food. This place is a joke, it's a Mickey Mouse operation, ridiculous beyond comprehension. And to T & T Supermarket in Central City, you need to learn how to treat everyone EQUALLY, and with respect, if you expect customers to return to your store! I am NOT a second class citizen, despite whatever judgment you've obviously made about me! I don't know why you chose to single me out, but I was the wrong person to do that to. I will make sure everyone knows just how unprofessional you are. And don't bother trying to contact me with free crap, that time has passed. I will continue to spread the word on how terrible your establishment is, for years to come. If you want a good Supermarket, Safeway is right next door! At least there, people will treat you like a human being! There's also a wonderful Chinese food place right next to Safeway as well, close to the bus station. Their food is just as good, if not better, because it comes with a side of respect, lol. It's not the biggest mall but for what it is close to a skytrain station in the area it's a good way to kill time. Would I go out of my way to come here...probably not but there are some stores in here worth checking out. The stores here are stores that you can go to at other malls that may be closer to you. I will admit that since their new facelift it has been more inviting when in the area. I spent a good 90 minutes here on a rainy day. read more

Not sure why you would go to this mall since guildford is so close by and much better! An entire Hallway of this place had to be closed off because they couldn't rent out the space. Not really any good stores other than target, but who goes to the mall for target?! You get a lot of the unsavoury characters from the bus loop across the street that wander in. Don't waste your time on this place, go to Guildford down the road. read more
