Busy Beaver Button Co saved me today when my son announced he needed a personalized give away at an event for tomorrow! I whipped up a simple design on Canva and within a few hours they had made me 100 beautiful buttons ready for pick up. The price was reasonable too! The design guy emailed me right away when he saw my design was lo res and helped me find something better. Liz is Super helpful too.

So when I was planning my wedding and I got to the "Favors" portion of the planning, I wanted to get something that would make people laugh and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg (especially since most people throw wedding favors in a drawer or the garbage and never look at them again.). My genius solution: Custom made buttons. But where to get them? That is where Busy Beaver Button Company came in. A friend of mine recommended them after his former place of employment used them for a job. Bottom line is they were fantastic. We gave them the color scheme we were looking for and the 5 different sayings we wanted, and the finished product was better than I ever imagined. They were helpful, friendly, quick, and I noticed that they even worked our names and wedding date onto the inner edge of the button! Our guests loved them and the cost was very reasonable. We got 250 buttons for $190. Not too shabby. Now if I could only think of more reasons for custom made buttons. read more

I hosted my Mom's 60th birthday party at the Busy Beaver Button Museum (located within the Busy Beaver Button Company) this past weekend and I can't say enough good things about them! Location was perfect for our small party of 10 people. They had a kitchen and fridge space we used and they even set up tables and chairs for us. Joel and the other staff members were extremely helpful and gave a great explanation of all of the interesting buttons they have on display. Being able to make our own buttons was an awesome perk and a great take-away for the birthday guest of honor. I would highly recommend this unique museum to anyone looking for a small venue and/or an interesting slice of hidden Chicago! Thanks so much to Joel and his team! read more

I just placed an order for some buttons as giveaways for my portfolio show! I'm so excited to get them. Great website, easy-peasy ordering, and pretty cheap rush shipping! Also you can split one batch of buttons into two designs for $5 more. I found that to be a great feature, so really I put in FOUR designs when I originally was thinking TWO. Brilliant. Also it's great that you can put in a bit of text on the lip of the button...website, name, message, whatever. Another nice feature. Oh, also I'm anxiously awaiting when I have a spare hour or two to go down to Little Otsu on Valencia to buy an artist series button from BBB's vending machine!! (Can you tell I heart buttons?) And yes...I too am thinking of what else I can design for another order. ;) Keep it up guys! read more

Best place to order button. When I need to order button for convention, I always use BusyBeaver. Because they sell always high-quality, handy button with one cheap price. Honestly, I can't find anywhere better to buy a button. You can design your own button with easy template that they offer. Ordering is much more simple. Following the step, and you'll never get lost. Free shipping is another good thing that I should mention, because usually printing company rip you of easily by shipping fee. As other reviewers mentioned, people who works at this place are friendly and professional. Once, my package got lost (It was not Busy beaver's fault, but delivery company or my stupid neighbor.) But Busy beaver kindly offered me an alternative plan. It wasn't free, but I could clearly sees how they take care about customer, and I satisfied with result. It is quite difficult to find store like Busy beaver. When you need to make buttons, this is the place. Two thumbs up! read more

I was extremely impressed with this shops prices, turn around and overall customer service. I had a series of buttons needed for a client, and Abbey and crew at Busy Beaver Button Co could not have been better to work with. The templates are extremely easy to use and the quality is top notch. The invoicing is super clear with photos and quantities of each button; this was great for me with a large, varied order. Since pinback buttons were patented in 1896, people have found many ways to express their life events through buttons. We created the Button Museum to show how people commemorated noteworthy times in their lives by creating and collecting these wearable mementos. The words, artwork, printing style, color, and size were the final result of a vision they wanted to communicate or be a part of. Buttons tell a peoples' history like anything else!The physical museum is located in Busy Beaver Button Co.'s office.

Established in 1995.

Since its beginnings, Busy Beaver Button Co. has grown from a one-woman operation founded in a college apartment to a thriving, emerging manufacturer. Located in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood, Busy Beaver Button Co. has produced millions of custom buttons for customers such as the Art Institute of Chicago, Brooklyn Brewery, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as well as thousands of record labels, colleges, businesses, artists, non-profit organizations, schools and individuals. Each button is custom-made in an environmentally friendly, solar-powered facility using American-made parts. And now, we offer stickers as well!

Had a very offputting experience with this location. I live in Chicago, but I ordered a product…read moreonline for UPS shipping due to an impending snowstorm. Put the tracking number I was given into my UPS app, but the app never updated me, which I thought was strange. Several days later, I checked my UPS app and it showed my order was delivered the day before, to a different city in Illinois. When I tried to view the delivery photo, the app showed that I needed to enter an email address with a different domain than my email address. I called the Wicker Park store, which is the main storefront, and said that it appeared they had sent my order to someone else. The person who answered the phone could not have cared less, told me there was nothing she could do, and I needed to call their shipping service. I asked if they were a vendor, and the store said yes. I asked who had the authority to resend my package, and they said it was up to the shipping service. I told them they were the store that sold me the item and if they were not going to ensure I received it, I was going to file a Better Business Bureau complaint, which I since have done. I called the shipping service and they told me they were actually part of the company, not a vendor. It would have been helpful for the person answering the phone at the actual store to know that, which they did not. I gave the shipping clerk my order number, and they confirmed that my package had been sent to somebody else, living at an address in Wilmette. I asked how that happened, and they told me that the printer they use for shipping labels sometimes prints duplicate labels, and this has happened before. They offered to re-ship my item but in order to ensure I actually got it, I had to make a special trip to their Andersonville store in the middle of another snowstorm to pick it up in person, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. My question is, if they know their shipping label printer is screwed up, and they keep occasionally sending orders to the wrong people, why don't they just replace the printer? Why did it fall on me, and I'm sure other customers, to figure out they had sent my order to an incorrect address, and then to have to essentially beg across two phone numbers to finally receive the order I had paid for? Lots of completely unnecessary stress because this store is too cheap to fix what they know is an ongoing, not insignificant problem. Knowing that they occasionally send things people have already paid for to other people and don't care to fix that issue? That's why I submitted my Better Business Bureau complaint.

Some of the parents unfortunately are not so accepting and one girl actually had to ask to be dropped off down street so mom wouldnt see the rainbow flag. She apparently would not have let her stay. I found that sad, but it is a perfect example why this day was so important and these items and their message needed to be sent. Busy Beaver has done it again....they have produced another great button for our Susan Boyle Fan Club...we distributed the buttons to Susan Boyle fans attending the recent Oprah Winfrey Show here in Chicago and within minutes one of the guests sent a tweet photo around the world...how happy she was with the buttons.... http://tweetphoto.com/8639847 In addition they made our fan buttons for the Today Show in New York in November, which was also part of a world wide quilt presentation for Susan (which was filmed for part of the Susan Boyle Story (which can now be found on You Tube. Amazing Buttons are now also traveling around the world to Susan's fans, and many buttons are also being gifted to people who are handicapped, poor health, or problem situations by myself and others. The quality of their buttons is simply amazing. read more

Busy Beaver creates stellar buttons. I've never received a single button which was incorrectly printed, or even slightly off-center. They are really the gold standard. Whenever I need to purchase buttons, I opt for Busy Beaver by preference. Fast shipping also. I've also heard from friends that they catch typos and other mistakes. I've never had that come up, but it's nice to see that degree of professionalism. read more
