Very disappointed. I've purchased wood in the past from Bustamante, and have always been pleased, (they took their "seasoned wood" statement seriously). Not this time...when I arrived last week, they mentioned for the 1st time that the pine was from the Cameron fire and was "a bit charred" for which they would give me $10 off. OK, I drove 40 minutes to get a 1/2 cord here so not a big deal to me. Now I get it home, begin burning it, and discover that - maybe 30% of the wood - is so GREEN that it literally will not burn no matter how much paper I feed in! I called earlier today to voice my displeasure and no return call, no apologies, no solution. For myself...the ONLY reason I drove 40 minutes one way to Bustamante's was to get good, dry, seasoned wood that burns consistently well, (I can literally purchase pine firewood 2 blocks away from my house ..1/2 cord for $100...but it's very inconsistent/Green). So...fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me...they've lost my business. read more
