Hours prior to Father's Day 2024, I had heroically cut down a massive Aspen tree, in our yard, with a Stanley hand saw. What could have gone wrong when one used the state of the art tree removal equipment? At any rate, the 100 foot tree failed to cooperate, and fell onto an uphill Aspen tree. My wife did not allow me to continue my attack on the initial tree, and called Mr. Gonzales' team, who compassionately showed up to save me from my stubborn behavior. The initial tree shared a root system with 3 other diseased, ant infested Aspens, and these were PROFESSIONALLY removed, My wife was delighted not to be a widow, our yard looks magnificent, and our nearby deck and kitchen were spared. I had the guys from Gonzalez Tree Service come out and trim my very old over-grown Cottonwood Tree today. I live in the West Lakewood, Golden area. I cannot say enough great things about this wonderful family owned business. They worked extremely hard and not only were professional but kind, courteous and extremely graceful to both me and my daughter. I have 16 trees on my property and this is the largest one. It's also my favorite. So I didn't want to trust it to just anybody. After many great reviews on my neighborhood Next-Door App, I decided to have them come out. I am not disappointed. My tree looks like a brand-new beautiful healthy majestic tree. I just can't quit looking at it. SCAM ! VERY DISHONEST. I ordered 3 cords of wood from Gonzales firewood and tree service. Charlie and Jackie Gonzales off Craigslist. They showed up with firewood. Claimed to have 4 cords on the truck. The father said I would really save him a lot of time if I bought the 4th cord. Finally agreed to purchase the 4th cord at a discounted price. I stacked the first cord and realized there were not 4 cords. Contacted them. The said " we scam know one" our cords are to be stacked 5' x 3' x 8' . Uh 4x4x8 is also a cord. I stacked my cords and ended up with 11'3" x 4' x 8' . 2 & 7/8 cords. They scammed me out if 1 & 1/8 cord. If you have ordered firewood from these people stack your wood and make sure you got what you paid for. Very friendly. They claim this wood us the best wood, very good burns very hit. You will love our wood. You are getting grade 2 wood very best wood. Very dishonest people. Look you in the face with yes ma'am and knowledge they are ripping you off. Love, love LOVE Gonzales tree service. We got a heavy, Spring Colorado snowfall- lots of broken branches and even dead trees. These guys showed up on the scene. They did a great job of cleanup at my house. I handed out their business cards to my neighbors, and even to my mom. For the last two weeks, they have been trapped in maybe a four block radius around my house. Every day, they are at another one of my neighbor's houses, cleaning up damage from the snow storm. It's because of word-of-mouth. A few of my neighbors even had multiple estimates done, and Gonzales always came up the cheapest. A basic overview- the owner gives you a quote. And his team sticks to that quote. They ended up doing more work on my property than expected, but stuck to the original quote. Once you say yes, they give you a timeframe. They are prompt, they are professional, they are everything you'd hoped for in a tree trimming company. They work very fast, but also very meticulous. They are a family run company-just living the American dream. The owner gives quotes, and does all the runaround. The son climbs and does all the cutting up high. The owner's brother works on the ground, trying to keep up with what the son has cut. Larger tree companies tend to make you feel like you should be lucky to have them. Gonzales acts like THEY are lucky to have YOU. An example? After giving the quote at my mom's house, the owner came by my place to shake my hand and say thank you. That led to a discussion about parents, and taking care of them. So you CAN go to another company, if you'd like. That's a gamble. But I've seen Gonzales working on so many of my neighbor's trees. Not one neighbor has said they wouldn't recommend them to a friend. In reality, tree-trimming is tree-trimming. What tree service could be so good that I'm compelled to write this review?
