The team at Langley were transparent and clear about how to best take care of our trees and revive them. It turns out we were overwatering the maples and it overwhelmed the tree systems. They were clear and transparent and didn't try to sell us anything for the sake of selling anything. I really appreciate them using their knowledge and transparency. Although they didn't have any services to provide us after the tree diagnosis, I know that we will be contacting them the next growing season for other tree questions we may have. Thanks Langley's!

I just wanted to jump on here and write about HOW pleased we are with the team at Hollar Tree and…read morethe exceptional work they did trimming our backyard tree on Bella Vista. They trimmed our medium size locust tree in the front today too, because we asked. They were skilled, knowledgeable, careful and prepared too, bringing a truck with pincher style claws that they used to lift and remove all the cut branches both huge and small. Very reasonably priced (we did a LOT of research calling many businesses ahead of time to get details, advice and quotes). Best prices out there. They were so patient with us too, they did exactly what we wanted. Smart, knowledgeable people. Down-to-earth and honest. They didn't leave a single twig on the ground. They took such good care to keep our yard plants and vegetables safe and undisturbed. The two guys worked well together and seemed to enjoy the work they were doing. I was fascinated how they used ropes, clips, etc to skillfully bring all the branches down. It was a huge tree that needed a lot of help. Hollar Tree delivered. This is the only tree service we'll ever use. Wonderful experience. If you're driving down Bella Vista and you see a tree that used to be a spindly mess but is now neat, tidy and green (at least now at the end of September before the lovely leaf color change), that's ours. Will it have to be fully taken down at some point? Probably. But for this winter and somewhat beyond, we get to admire our neat little trimmed tree. Thank you, Hollar Tree. Everyone should be so lucky to use your tree maintenance and removal services. Bravo!

I had St Vrain quote a removal for an ash borer-killed (dying, not standing dead) tree in my…read morebackyard. Of about 7 quotes I received, St Vrain was one of two that insisted a crane was needed. The reason I'm writing a review as someone who chose not to employ this company is WHY I chose not to employ this company. I am a single female homeowner and did not at any time feel like John was listening to or respecting my requests for the job (leave a stump, leave trunk wood in firewood lengths, no grinding, dump chipped branches on the driveway). The quote that I received included none of my job requests which further concerned me that if I hired them, my desires would not be honored. The quote was not the highest but was four times the amount quoted by companies that were willing to remove the tree by climbing - of which there were many. I ended up having the tree removed and my requests honored for 25% of the cost quoted by St Vrain, so I recommend making sure you quote multiple companies for your job. I also caution against using this company as a single woman; bring your handyman, dad, brother, son, whatever to repeat your requests so they're actually heard.
