So did you hear the one about the three Asians, one Hispanic, and one white guy from Hawaii who went to a country bar? Well, probably not because it's not a joke, it happened for real! So this past weekend a few friends and I decided to hit up Bushwhackers after watching the UFC at Blitz 99 (btw a much better and classier place than Bushwhackers) only to be profiled from the second we walked in the front door! I kid you not, folks, this is a true story. Not only did a bunch of hillbilly hicks start trying to mean mug us, but so did the security at the front door! LOL OMG these dudes seriously need to get a llife. It's 2013 and this is NOT your land. Yes, the Americas were not "discovered" by the white man, it already existed and was occupied. Hello? So from the start I had a bad feeling about this place. The security was not going to allow us in but one of us in the group had convinced them that we're not trouble and we just wanted to have a good time. So we finally get in and what happens next? Well, it seems as if the security guards had a radar on us and they were basically following us around the place. They had it for us from the start and were looking for any and all reasons for us not to be in there. We couldn't even breathe without one of them hassling us. We would've left at that point but two in our party had separated and we couldn't find them. So while waiting for our other friends, we get to the bar to order our drinks and just chilled for a bit. Can we order a second round, please? Nope. LOL They cut our line!! This was the funniest crap ever! I'm not even going to get anymore into this but this place needs a serious reality check. It's a sad thing that there still is racism that exists, but what's even more sad is that it's not only down south, it's this close to home. OMFG! Is this what Oregonians consider a good time country bar? This place is not right in every sense of the word. I'm Caucasian so I figured country bar, hey I'll fit right in and feel comfortable. It's so low class feeling right from the front door. I don't know what the front security is on, but they all seem whack! It was myself and three of my gf's and these guys were sleazy. Once they realized that we weren't game for them, they instantly became rude and were trying to find any reason to not let us in. They even accused my friend for being "too drunk" and were going to deny us entrance but guess what, that friend doesn't even drink! Lol After getting past the daunting front security, we make our way through the older crowd. Not our scene. We get to the bar and had to wait 10 minutes to just to be acknowledged. I've been here a few times. It's generally a fun place, good music, and good price on drinks and food. Thursdays are better for younger people who like to line dance. Saturdays get packed too but brings more of an older crowd and mostly couple dances. To the comment about the girl Haley, I don't personally know her but I see her there all the time. With that said, I can see why she would be considered a "dance snob". My theory, she has her head in the clouds. she comes off as thinking shes better than others who aren't "up to par" with their dancing. I've seen her help out with dances and I'm not impressed. Regardless of weather shes an employee or not, shes representing BW when shes on the dance floor with an instructor. Therefore, she shouldn't treat the customers like crap. My thought, shes a bar rat just like the many before her and the many to come. read more

The girl Haley who "teaches" dances there is a complete b*tch.... a total dance snob. My husband and I went there for a dance lesson and after the lesson we asked her to show us one of the steps again and she was completely rude and treated us like we were idiots for not getting it the first time. She fakes being nice during the lesson but then once she's done she acts like shes better than everyone. News flash, you're not that good at dancing, you're very stiff, and you don't even look like you're having fun. You probably shouldn't be teaching (or in your case mostly standing around while Tim teaches) if you're just going to be rude to paying customers who have questions about the dances. (regardless if shes an employee or not she is still representing the bar when shes teaching with a dance instructor.) read more

This is a great place! I think they have 10 HD Tv's to watch football, basketball etc...At night they have free dance lessons and a DJ plays after that. It is a country bar but not everyone is dressed in cowboy hats, boots, etc... We were treated great, had great service and had a fun night both nights we were there. I am not a cowboy but still felt welcome and not out of place. Great atmosphere! The pictures below are out of date, the place has been remodeled and looks great. I was there last Friday night and they had an awesome live band, went back on Saturday night and it was packed. We will for sure go back to this place!!! read more

Haha. Wow. All these reviews of rude service are actually on point. My second time here with a friend. We were sitting at a dirty bar covered in empty glasses. My friend and I only had two drinks each until one of the security guards comes up and has to cut us off because "I wasn't keeping track of you guys and I have to assume all of the empty glasses on the table are yours so I have to cut you off." Thursday night is ladies night and wow, lots of ladies there! They have drink special for guys also that night. I am not a "cowboy", but you don't have to be to have a good time there. They play more than just country music. Service was great even for how busy they were. I went back on Friday night because my friend was playing in a band there, it wasn't quite as busy as Thursday night but still had a lot of fun. I will for sure be back to this place! read more

I am appalled by the behavior of the bouncer at this establishment when I went there on Saturday. He was absolutely horrible, he verbally assaulted me and called me the F slur as well as some of my friends. I will never return to this establishment. This is unacceptable behavior and I will be taking as much action as I can to spread awareness of the blatant homophobia that I witnessed and personally experienced. Avoid this bar! read more

This place is packed on the weekends! I go there almost every Thursday night for ladies night with all of my girlfriends. We do the free line dance lesson at 7:30 and then its $1 beers all night! Service is awesome, atmosphere is great! I would recommend the steak quesadilla! read more

Bushwhackers is so much fun. I used to make a trip out here for dancing and drinks but now i live close by. Great food menu for a bar. My only complaint is that they have the worst internet service. read more
