There's so little to look forward to or get excited about during this pandemic, and I hadn't eaten a Burrito Boyz burrito in ages, so I figured, on a recent Friday night, I'd treat myself to one of their glorious concoctions as a bit of a pick-me-up. Huge mistake. First off, I tried to order using their app, but it was barely working, so I instead ordered using on of the food-delivery apps. I wanted to get out of the apartment, so I figured I'd just go grab it myself. This was my second mistake. I showed up about 20 minutes placing my order, and the joint was slammed. There were a couple of people hanging out by the back, presumably waiting for their orders, and the staff of five people seemed completely overwhelmed. (While I was there, I noticed several drivers for various apps show up to grab food.) Anyway, I walked up to the area designated for people waiting to pickup food ordered from external apps and stood there. And stood there some more. Finally, after about 10 minutes of waiting, I was asked for my order number. Said order number was 9 digits long, so I looked down at my phone to read it out, but by the time I looked up, she was gone. I went back to waiting. I waited another 10 minutes or so and then I finally just planted myself in front of the cash register, hoping someone would help me there. Nope. I waited another 15 minutes before someone bothered talking to me, and my burrito, which had been sitting on a table behind her for the entire time I was standing there, was finally handed to me. Have you ever eaten a room-temperature burrito? It's not great. So, what was meant to be a special little treat turned into an ordeal that almost gave me a heart attack. (Seriously, I could feel my blood pressure raising incrementally every minute I stood there.) Thanks for nothing, Burrito Boyz. I've been a loyal customer for literally *years* - I ordered my first burrito from you shortly after you opened your original location and I've been eating at your other locations ever since - but now I have to imagine it's going to be a while before I give you my business again. read more

I came here around lunch time and didn't have to wait. I ordered the Naked Burrito with Beef. It's essentially everything in a burrito but without the wrap, hence the name. As your order is being prepared, they'll ask you what toppings you'd like and if you want it mild or spicy. For only $9.99 I can't even complain too much. It's definitely one of the cheaper options in this area. The portions were filling and it tasted pretty good. My only complaint is that the meat is a tad bit on the bland side but I guess that's what the sauces are for. My favourite quick-stop burrito spot because their burritos are ridiculously fat, albeit a bit pricey. I think their halibut ($10.99) is the best fastfood burrito in the city (though this location undercooked the fish ever so slightly). This new location is on Yonge, south of Sheppard (in the same plaza at Eat BKK and Hero Burger). It's a small spot (seats 10) with limited parking in front, so think it's mainly a grab-and-go place. Service was quick as usual, even if the location is new. read more

Came for lunch with some co-workers and luckily we beat the crowd. It was consistently busy once we got our food. There were also a lot of skip the dishes/Uber eats order pick ups. They were very efficient with taking the orders and preparing the food. I got the naked chicken bowl and it was massive! The ingredients were fresh and the hot sauce was nice and spicy. I couldn't finish it all and I have a big appetite! read more

Awful experience picking up at Yonge and Sheppard! Ordered from the app, received a message saying it would be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived 10 minutes after that, just to give them more time, and it wasn't ready, they didn't have a clue about my order. The girl asked us to wait outside some more time, and just then is when they started to prepare my order. I saw more people in my same situation that day, all of them complaining about it, outside. It looks to me that they just want to take as many orders as possible without worrying about providing a good service. read more

Was good three years ago now they mess up orders every single time. They have switched employees every year but they some how still mess up my order. I found hairs three times in my food. I saw a worker eat a chip in front of the burrito bar . Burrito boys was good but now I have switched to chipotle because at least they follow health and safety guidelines . read more

Ordered a GF (gluten free) steak burrito and specified that they need to take precautions because I have celiac disease. I noticed that they have a warning of precautions (change gloves, use dedicated spaces etc) so I felt safe. It was the first gf burrito I've ever had and it was fantastic! read more

This place is horrific and horrible and they should me ashamed of doing business cuz its not fair ordering 4 times and getting wrong order all 4 times iv give them chances and chances but they always fuck it up people dont have money to urinate away in this economic hardship because if covid. I went here today to grab a naked halibut. It is definitely not the same like in the old days. Portions are way smaller and the fish looked thinner than the 2 dollar High Liner frozen fish boxes you get at No Frills. It was also dried out and not fresh like it use to be. At first I thought it was just the Vaughn location. But after ordering the same naked halibut three times over the past year and a half I don't think I'll try again. The beans, rice and salad mix are still good and staff are friendly but it's not the same as it use to be a few years back. I guess the franchise fee is cutting away at quality and portions. Such a shame as this place use to be really good. Guess things change....not always for the better. read more

Nachos are awful and dry. Even tried paying for extra toppings this time around, $22, and still somehow managed to get an order without any cheese or sauce. Seriously?! Have now had multiple bad experiences at this location. It's shame. I used to really enjoy Burrito Boyz. Perhaps the staff at this new location could benefit from some retraining but until then don't waste your money. read more

Portion size is smaller than the Hwy 7 Vaughan or Yonge and Finch location. Steak quesadilla didn't have a lot of meat or cheese. Ordered 2 boxes of chips with salsa however when we got home, there was no salsa. Steak and chicken burrito were flavourful and the ingredients were fresh. Don't think I'd be returning to this location. Will stick to the other 2 locations. read more

My favourite burrito place. Burritos are bursting in the seams as they really pack in lots of good stuff. My favourites here are the halibut burrito and the calamari. For a fast food spot, they cook their seafood really well - fresh enough, tasty, and good portion size. Will be back! read more

This is actually for store 4712 in North York, Ontario. I have come to this store many times and usually have no issues until today. However, today I was greeted by Sara (or at least that's what she said her name was) and I will not be coming back. Sara seemed to be the manager or the in charge as she was training a new employee and running the cash register. When I placed my order with Sara (a small shrimp burrito) she asked me if I would like guacamole and I said yes. I paid and then moved to the area to wait to be called to chose my toppings for the burrito. That's when I noticed that Sara charged me for the guacamole without telling me there's an extra charge. I thought to myself well that's not a big issue as usually guacamole costs extra and continued to wait. The new employee called my number and proceeded to ask me the regular questions. I noticed that she wasn't filling the scopes and when she had put cheese on my burrito there was only cheese on half. In a effort to not be rude I simply asked if she could put more cheese on the burrito. The new employee had no issue with this and was beginning to fill in the second half when Sara, who was taking someones order on the cash register, interupted aggressively telling her not to put more cheese on it. I explained to Sara that the new employee hadn't filled the scoop and had only put cheese on half. Before I could finish my sentence Sara cut me off and told the new employee that this time it would be fine but next time I would have to pay a dollar. I had come to this establishment with another person who at this point asked me what was going on. I explained to the person that she hadn't filled the scoop for cheese and that I asked for more and Sara said I would have to pay a dollar next time. Sara interrupted our conversation yet again in an aggressive tone to tell me that its a small and that's what you get. At this point I just wanted to leave the store and get my money back. I looked around at the other workers and felt sorry for them. They all looked uncomfortable and sad and I could only imagine it was because of this worker. I decided that I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. The new employee continued her questions and I said yes or no and simply tried to ignore how little ingredients she was putting on my burrito. However, when she put the corn on my burrito I could literally count on one hand how many kernels were there. FIVE. I turned to Sara who was now ignoring the growing line of guests waiting to order and ignoring the pile of orders sitting waiting to be made. I asked Sara if this is the right amount that you're supposed to get. In the meanest tone she could muster she replied you got a small that's what you get. It was at this point that I knew I wasn't coming back. I quietly waited for my burrito to be finished and left. It was the worst burrito I have ever had at this establishment.
