a burrito as big as my head that doesn't fall apart after the first bite is great achievement. flavor wise it was just okay. things weren't mixed together well so every bite was completely different. still ate every bite

    its a big burrito...

I've always wanted to come and its honestly just like chipotle but with better ingredients, and a tastier wrap. I ordered their chicken "small" and they use quite a bit of chicken breast with all the toppings you would like such as rice, guac, beans, red onions and other veggies. My favourite thing is that they grill it for you and it makes it so much better...it actually stays PUT and all the ingredients are warm! Also, the small size is HUGE and the price is great. Overall, if you're looking for a fast and tasty meal, burrito boyz is the place to go.

First of all, I would like to say yes, their chicken and their steak is very good but when ordering from there, you have to be there in person in order to get the correct item.. I prefer mucho burrito TBH.. When I tell them extra spicy, They seem to think 3 dots of hot sauce is extra spicy.. They also go by weight of the burrito (which can be good but..) I do not get rice I do not get beans, I also do not like extra cheese. I DO NOT EXPECT them to make up for the weight with extra chicken WHICH I ALWAYS MAKE VERY CLEAR, I always tell them do not worry about the weight just give me what I asked for and I will not have any complaints, lots of spice and lots of sauce like sour cream and salsa and NO EXTRA CHEESE.. Instead, they always give me triple cheese, even though that is exactly against my request.. So now I started to order the mixed burrito half steak half chicken. And I write in the instructions do not mix the meat put steak on half of the burrito and chicken on the other half. And for some reason they seem to believe I meant chicken on the top and steak on the bottom.???? I don't think it takes a genius to understand that I want literally chicken on one side and steak on the other so if I cut it I have half and half... I have to say the people working here are not too brilliant, especially at night time... Also tried to order nachos a few times, but all I received was chips in a box with meat that was heated up with the cheese sauce, salsa and sour cream all on the side.. Every other place, I've ever ordered nachos from usually comes with fresh cheese on the nachos heated and melted with A side of sour cream and salsa. I definitely find it very weird that the cheese was on the side..

It was my second time trying Burrito Boyz, though my first time at this location. I remember trying it a few years ago and being wowed by the flavours - way more than places like Chipotle or Tejanos BBQ (Montreal). Thankfully, this location did not disappoint. We ordered 1 burrito each so 3 in total. 1 steak, 1 chicken and 1 fish (haddock). We got large burritos when I found out that the large part isn't the tortilla but rather the portion of protein in the burrito. For $33 total, we were all happy and very satisfied with our respective burrito! What I love is the ability to personalize the burrito (whole wheat tortilla, guac - duh - and a variety of chopped vegetables and sauces and beans/rice for those who like that kinda thing). My fave part is at the end when they've made the burrito, they first grill your choice of protein on the grill, then once it's assembled, they toast it which is such a simple but key part of what makes this burrito so great. I don't think I would get a large if I were to go back because that was too much meat for me but otherwise delicious and will be going back when in the area! One thing to note: there is no seating area so you have to get takeout.

Burrito Boyz really is fantastic, and when the craving hits for a burrito or a bowl, there isn't any other place that can satisfy you the way these guys can. The steak here is marvelous, and is on par with the steak you would find at Chipotle, at a lesser cost. The ingredients taste fresh and compliment the meat very well. The sauces also pack a lot of flavour, and make the burrito overall a super enjoyable experience. Getting guac doesn't break the bank here. What's really great is the consistency. Every single order is made correctly, and tastes the same every time. I know what to expect each time I go. Let this review put your mind at ease that this place knows how to make burritos and bowls very very well. Order ahead if you can, because the lunch time lineups can be pretty insane.

So, so, so, so, so good. I've been coming to this location for at least five years. Their sweet potato burrito is absolutely life changing. I love you burrito boyz! Also - for a restaurant on dundas they are very clean, professional, and consistent.

    Shrimp burrito

I love burritos and I've heard good things about Burrito Boyz so this was my first time trying this place out. I ordered a large shrimp burrito which costed me $9.50 tax included and after devouring it, I was definitely full. I really like how they had a variety of free toppings including guac (YAY!) but it tends to make the burrito more saucy and less meaty (when compared to competing burrito stores like Fat Bastards). They gave a reasonable portion of shrimp and they were the nice large ones which accurately reflected it's price. Overall, the burrito was pretty good. My only criticism would be that it was rather cold when I received it and I would've had a much better experience had it been toasty warm on such a cold night.

When I went to the basement washroom, I swear I saw what looked like the end of a mouse's tail sticking out from under the door. Needless to say, I completely lost my appetite. When the waiter asked how everything was, I told him honestly that it was terrible. I had only taken two bites, and there was really no response. My wife and I just recently completed our 4th visit to this Michelin-starred masterpiece. We did make the mistake this time of sitting at the Chef's Counter in the middle of summer with the fire grills going, but it's such an amazing experience to watch them all be pros at what they do that it makes you forget about the sweat. Sitting at the bar is also equally fun with the engaging bartenders. The service and the ambiance of the long, corridor-like place is just incredible. The darker lit atmosphere gives it a really intimate but welcoming feel. And every server or bartender or chef we've talked to there has been equally friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth. We also absolutely love the fact that virtually everything is naturally gluten free (perfect for those with celiac!). This time around, we got the mushroom and shishito peppers (I don't even like mushrooms with the firm texture but these ones were insanely tender I would happily eat them whenever), tuna tiradito, empanada, and bone marrow and shrimp (not sure we've ever had bone marrow before or that we'd get it again, but it was definitely an interesting flavor and not a disappointment in the least). We also had a solo regular sit next to us who happily gave us a piece of his tlayuda which was maybe the best of what we got the entire night. Dessert was the coconut nicuatole, which was the perfect cherry (or pineapple) on top of another perfect dinner. In the past, we've also heavily enjoyed the scallop ceviche and coal roasted sweet potato and our friend also raved about the whole seabream. Their cocktails are also on point and the tasting menu with drink pairing is also hugely fun but come ready to leave stuffed because it's a LOT. Best restaurant ever and I can't wait to go back again!

The bluefin tuna was pristine, buttery, and incredibly fresh, while the char-grilled octopus was perfectly tender with a beautiful smoky depth of flavor. The ensalada verde was bright, crisp, and refreshing, offering a perfect contrast between courses. The standout for me was the hanger steak, cooked beautifully and paired with a rich peppercorn sauce that elevated every bite. Beyond the outstanding food, the service was impeccable--attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced without ever feeling intrusive. Quetzal is a Michelin star experience that lives up to the acclaim, delivering bold flavors, refined execution, and genuine hospitality. An unforgettable meal and a restaurant I would gladly return to.
