Love love the Burn Bootcamp Steele Creek Community. The trainers Jemekka, Brooke, Jason and Callie are amazing. Other staff Devan, Lisa and owner truly care about what they do. When you come in you are greeted by name and great energy. No matter if it's the first camp at 5:00am or the last camp of the day 6:30pm. When you leave here every time you leave stronger than you started. With your membership here at Burn Steele Creek you get multiple discount in different places in our Charlotte community such as Clean Eatz, Clean Juice and Charlotte Running Company. Signing up for camp it's super easy, download the application and reserved your strong for the next class within 24 hours. Through COVID-19 the gym is taking all precautions, temperature check before going in, space marked 6ft. squares to workout, hand sanitizer before and after working out, mask are required to get equipment and to move throughout. Everyone around you workout is super cautious too. I love our tribe!!

This review is for the STX free boot camp that they have every Monday and Wednesday:…read more I wasn't ready. Mentally or physically for what went down Wednesday night. I'll try to keep it short. (Yeah right! Lol) Overall- such a GREAT workout, experience and Emily breeze is so awesome!!! The only thing that kept me from quitting..well two things kept me from quitting. Knowing that summer is coming and my booty isn't where it needs to be and sheer will power to just keep going. I almost quit. Like literally said to myself "I can't do this...I so can't do this". And I heard the small inner former athlete say "yes.you.can" so I took another step...one more push up...one more lunge...one more squat. It's a brutal workout. I think we did (well I did because I couldn't do them all) at least 200 squats. I'm sure others did more. I think about 50 or more (I dunno I think I blacked out after a while) push ups, so many sprints, a bear crawl, back pedals, omg...my body was quivering. My mental state was shot....until something clicked and I remembered "yes I can". Sure I didn't do 20 squats at each cone, but I tried to do 15. I just kept moving. Never standing and never cheating myself out of the movement. I push well past my comfort zone. Along with about 200 people. It's a good mix of fitness levels and a great sense of community. I met some great people. Strangers were encouraging each other. The group clapped for those who were coming in last to encourage them. Amazing. By the time we got to the burpee plank series I was spent. I'm glad that was last. The ONLY reason why I'm kicking off a star is because at the end a big muscle guy kick my foot while I was in a modified plank hold (my knees were on the ground and I would alternate left and then right knee) and said "is that your plank?" I said "yes. You don't know my story. You try having stomach surgery" and he walked off. What I SHOULD have said was "is that your face? Oh it is? Then yes. This is my plank" That made me mad and confirmed why I don't xfit. I was judged by my plank and he kicked my foot. So for that, I kick off a star. At least my plank will get better...your face?? *shrugs shoulders* I'm going to go back. I am so happy that I didn't quit. It's challenging and it will help push me past my level of comfort!!!

When I saw that it was co-led by THE Randy Moss, I knew we had to go, being a huge Patriots fan. Since we have been traveling around the US, we have really only been running and getting SOME body weight work in. This class whooped our asses haha! For a class size of about 200 people, it was very well organized! Everyone got a great workout, I felt like I could go ROUGHLY at my own pace, and everyone was very encouraging. I'd like to say that it is an all-levels class, but it really isn't. You would probably be better off with some athletic background or at least average/above average fitness level to keep up. I would be back if I am in the area again! Feel free to follow our travels at www.tandaintheusofa.com! One thing to note, is they do charge $5 to park in their lot, which we did not know. We did see many other people parking on the street perpendicularly across the street.

I have always been a yo-yo dieter and every few years would take up running for a few months at a time but when it got too hot or too cold I would quit, hating the monotony of the dreadmill. I joined many gyms but always felt super intimidated and out of place and unsure what to do while there, wondering if I was wasting my time and energy by not knowing how to optimize my workouts. Classes made me a nervous wreck, always different faces and no one was there to do anything but get their workout done and leave. I weighed 200lbs, sat on my butt all day at the computer, had major hypothyroid issues, and was desperate to do something but didn't know what to do. I even looked into a personal trainer but the cost was so high and I knew I needed almost daily assistance, not just once or twice a week. For months I had heard my neighbors talk about Burn and encourage me to go and I finally decided to give it a shot. My first thought upon entering was how everyone seemed to know each other, and I was glad I had my girls there so I could cling onto them like a barnacle. My second thought erased the first because SO many women came up to me to say hi and welcome me, simply because they didn't recognize me. Even the head trainer, Ryne, made sure to introduce himself. The thing about Burn is the women there aren't just nice, they are FRIENDLY and it makes all the difference. Everyone there genuinely wants to see everyone else succeed. There is no judgement, only encouragement, pretty much everyone is a regular to their class time so you get to know so many wonderful women. I will not lie that first class I had to keep telling myself "This is the only time it has to be your first day, this is the only time it has to be this hard, if you keep coming it will get easier and you will be so glad you did." I struggled. I was beside a 70 year old woman who was doing so much better than me. We did bicycle abs and I could only lift one leg at a time and after three of them I laid there panting, sure I was going to blackout. We did bear crawls to halfway across the floor and back and were supposed to do five laps. I did one. But I just kept repeating "If you just keep coming you will be glad you did". Two weeks later I did three full laps of bear crawls, two months later bicycle abs were among my favorite things to do. It never gets easier, because we scale everything to our fitness levels(do it faster, more weights added, etc), but I have gotten so much stronger, it helps to know everyone there is on the struggle bus with me, and the sense of accomplishment afterwards is euphoric. Burn is a community, it's a sisterhood, it is everything I have been searching for my entire life. Ryne and Becky are amazing trainers, they genuinely care about the success of each and every one of you. The workouts are always different(I never get bored), always a challenge and designed to give you maximum results. Come to Burn, tell them Lyla sent ya, and I promise you, you will not regret it. 1 year in I have: Lost: 38lbs 10 sizes Gained: So many friends So much confidence So much strength A lifestyle I know I can keep up

I got on my husbands gym membership at the YMCA, I quit. I did 9 Round, I quit.... okay I think you get the point. I quit and there's nothing wrong with that, because those workouts, set ups, places, whatever just didn't work for me. It didn't work for my schedule, my lifestyle, etc. That is until I joined Burn Boot Camp. I've never been a consistent member of anything longer than maybe a month or two. I'll join something and take weeks or months off and my dude will complain and keep asking when I'm going back. I go back sporadically, knowing that this ain't gonna last. I'm not here to sell this place, but I am here to say why this works for me and probably many other women who go. This is my first check in but I've been going since the end of March. I did a trial and then just in time another trial came along and I jumped on that. So it was nice to get a feel of what I would be getting myself into if I actual paid for a membership. Ryne is literally the fitness coach I needed. Idon'twanna pay a ton of money for a trainer and I like being around other women who hi five you and encourage you to keep going and push yourself along with Ryne challenging you as well.. Working out here is challenging (you need that), flexible for my schedule (most days I go at 5 AM, sometimes at 8 AM, sometimes at 6:30 PM). If you have kids and you're a member, they have childcare at certain times. Ryne does personal check ups with you at the camp (after a workout, before, whatever) to make sure you're on track with your goals. PLUS! Sometimes the music be on point. Every now and then the music is a bit corny but luckily there are those around me, including Ryne pumping me up so I can ignore that. It doesn't get any better than this... for me. I would urge anyone to keep searching for what works for you. If you're a serial quitter... maybe you're just bored with where you are, you need some personal attention, maybe you need a little more encouragement or whatever you're doing isn't working for you anymore... give this place a try.

Whether it's your first workout in ten years or you're in the best shape of your life, several things will ring true once you attend your first class: 1. You will be challenged. The instructors are quick to give alternatives to the workouts based on where you're at in your fitness journey. You'll get what you're willing to put in, so as long as you set your intentions for class and stick to them, you'll leave feeling the moxie glow. 2. You'll be surrounded by a great group of women. When you think of a judgement-free-zone, Moxie will redefine this for you. Whether you're moving your hips in OHM, doing your first downward dog, or learning how to speed skate, you're given a safe space to be yourself, have fun, and learn new ways to move your body. Classes are kept intentionally small to create the best energy/environment. 3. You won't be disappointed! There is a class type for everyone. Dance, fusion, yoga, HIIT/bootcamp, etc. they even have a swiftie sculpt once a month for those of us who want our playlists a little more reputation coded. ;)

Inside, there's pretty exposed brick and a "Babe Cave" glowing pink sign. There's free public parking right behind the building, and Pro Tip: you can actually walk in through the back door (it doesn't have a name on it, so you just have to know - it's like a dark brown/gray color) instead of going all the way around to the front. I've taken a number of different classes here, including full body bootcamp, bootcamp circuit, 808, fusion, yoga, and athletic conditioning. Each one is unique, so you can try a variety of workouts to keep challenging yourself and see what you like best. I enjoy the strength-based workouts since you really do feel so strong. Fusion and 808 are so so fun since you're working out as a group to the rhythm of the music - you feel like you're on a dance team! During the cooldown of certain workouts (usually the bootcamps and other more high intensity classes), the staff pass around cold towels with essential oils - they change up the aromatherapy scents, and they've all smelled and felt amazing. It's such a nice way to end a sweaty class and take a relaxing, rejuvenating moment for yourself. Their trial week of $20 for an unlimited week of classes is such a great deal. Come in, sweat, and feel great about yourself in the company of other women!

The catch, loose 20lbs or 5% body fat and get your money back, or put it towards the membership next month which is almost $600 a mth. I signed up anyway motivated. Knowing realistically loosing 20lbs in 6 weeks wasn't healthy. I was going to try hard anyway. I didn't have $500 to really part with to begin with. But that's not even my major disappointment. The disappointment comes from the lack of accountability to the challenge members. I excepted more that to be given and meal plan and told come work out 3 days a week. I could have gotten a meal plan of Pinterest and just worked out myself. I never had one meeting, I had a busy week at work one week. Not one text or call checking for me. Yes I would expect that in a bootcamp Challenge. Not one weekly weigh in or consultation. It was week 5 before they had asked me if I had weighed in. Week 6 was another busy week at work. Not one call. Are you coming? How was the challenge? Coming to finish your last week? Are you considering joining us full time? Nothing. Ended what I think was week 5 and I haven't been back since and there went my $500.
