But the facilities are vast and clean, and I the inside layout and design of this YMCA kind of reminds me of the Chasco in Round Rock, TX People here have always been nice and welcoming, it is aesthetically pleasing to see this building when you arrive and it is also pretty popular yet never seems too overcrowded. She was very nice, asked him several questions and assured him that on Monday, she would have the Form emailed to him. IT NEVER happened! On Monday, Jim called and left a voicemail on the Y phone. NO CALL BACK! Where is the Indianland Y's compassion, when we are worrying about illness and pending surgery that they can't acknowledge the fact that an elderly man cannot come to the Y and personally request to have his "Membership'" put on hold. Jim was a member of the cancer exercise Group until he could no longer attend. I would like someone to reach out and help us with this lack of compassion and communication. I am 84 and have vision issues and do not drive so I can't go to the Y and act on his behalf.

This is a multiple issue complaint. First of all. A clear lack of cleanliness and not available…read morelockers at almost all times of day in the men's side. Like who is keeping these locked up even when there's clearly not that many males at a given time. The trainers consistently harass you to sign up for a plan. I told more than one trainer over in phone and in person that I did not want their services and to stop calling or emailing me. Yet this did not cease. Finally the predatory cancellation / membership annual renewal fee. They will literally charge and annual renewal fee on top of the next months fee. Doesn't matter if you cancel day of, they'll still charge you. The website offers cancellation form but this location doesn't approve them. I literally had to drive 1.5 hours to get to this location just to cancel and was met with additional fees. All around highly do not recommend this gym unless you don't have other options. Be careful of the cancellation when you do move because they will not hesitate to steal your money.
