So, I have to say, I was pretty impressed. I cannot even tell you the last time I went to a Burlington. I don't know why - I have lived by this location for about five years; I just never popped in. I'm glad I finally did. To me, it's like TJ Maxx or Ross but like super sized. I found a lot of cute stuff. I will agree with all the reviewers that the lines were a little bit next level. The cashier we had was absolutely lovely once we got up there. But I would say we waited in line for probably a solid 20 minutes. It was just two people working the cash registers. When we left, the line was even longer. So, besides the long lines it's kind of worth it because the deals you can find are absolutely incredible. read more

Burlington has changed over the years but I still like to pop in to see what's new. This location in North RiverSide has good quality and decent prices on purses and shoes. I came to look around on yesterday and found this really cute floral pants jumpsuit. I headed straight to the fitting room to try on this cutie and to my surprise it was busted at the seams on both sides and the zipper got caught in the middle. Apparently, someone thought this jumper was a cutie and wanted so bad to squeeze themselves inside. Lucky for me it fitted but just needed a little tender loving care. I went to the check out to see if I could have something off because of the damage and stress someone put on this jumper. The cashier Patricia was such a Doll and polite. Very sweet and attentive young lady. She didn't hesitate to call her manager to the front to assist me. The manager Dotty took one look at the jumper and instantly gave me 50% off. The worst location I've been to. I went in to find a winter coat for my daughter. She's a little taller so I found one from the women's section. The security tag was wrapped in a way that I could not zip the jacket up to see how it fit her. I asked the women working on the floor if I could remove it to zip up the jacket. She said go to checkout and of course the line was so long. We waited about 40 minutes in the line. I kindly asked the lady at checkout if she could remove the tag so I can try it on her real quick. She immediately told me no. She said I'd have to pay for it first in order to try it on and come back if I didn't like it. I explained to her that I had waited in line for 40 minutes and I wasn't coming back to return a jacket. The woman got really loud with me and said she would not remove the tag if I wanted to try it on. I again told her the lady on the floor told me to come have it removed so she could try it on. There was a lot of back n forth. The woman had an attitude and when I asked to speak to the manager she didn't even call her and said she was on lunch so I know she was lying. I ended up leaving with no jacket bc I'm not going to waist my time and wait in another long ass line to return something that I should have been able to try on before buying. Someone please tell me how this makes sense. This store was also so disorganized and messy. It was around 8pm and the fitting rooms were closed. Couldn't try anything on. This is probably the biggest Burlington I've been to and it's one of my favorite stores so I loved that but the only downfall is the workers. Majority had an attitude. Seemed like they didn't wanna work even the manager was just standing around joking with another employee while they had a line wrapped around the store. I said I wasn't going to say anything but I had to say something this time because this is the third year in a row. Once again it's Christmas time and everybody's trying to do their early shopping or their Christmas shopping and the same thing goes with me and I was there yesterday December the 7th to pick up a few things for loved ones or friends and there was 30 people in the line. And two cashiers there was one cashier working with hangers hanging up hangers picking up hangers hanging them up with all of these people standing in the line to be waited on. My question was could she not have helped to get the line down a little and help some of these people and then once it gets down to 10:00 or 15 people go back to your hangers. But that was what I was wondering that was what everyone in line was wondering. So come to find out the person who was working with the hangers picking them up off the floor hanging them on the rack she was a manager so she was too good to help out because she's a manager really? 30 people standing in line grumbling and moaning and complaining about how long it's taking them to make their purchases and she turns around and looks at all these people and does nothing and she's a manager? Dwarf sized American stared and blinked, ask "Layers of dead animal to warm" more blinks, ask "Does keep material for normal sized humans". Finally American woman grabs dwarf by the hands gives me a strange look and walks away telling dwarf to stop putting things in ones mouth and wipes his nose. Follow current companion up jagged disappearing stairs of death. Interesting American invention, Nathan Ames, land called Massachusetts 1859. Immediate notice of wooden columns stuffed with fur material and rows of circular holders with more. Spot tiny American jump out of one clawing for another tiny American, who mildly escaped and ran away. When approaching silver holder, for companions safety, straight legged kicked into holder. No contact made, but for safety precautions performed kick at every occasion. Found much needed fur material for very little currency. Grabbed two, found to be fair exchange. When you end up dropping off your remaining clean dress clothes on hand at CD1 with plans to have enough to pick them up the the AM but an unexpected early morning meeting prevents that from happening you end up at The only place near your hotel at 930pm where you can piece milk a suit together running around the isles like a crazy man. But then Betty showed up out of nowhere as I frantically tried to put an ensemble together. She literally saved the night and my meeting the following morning. I have shopped here several times over the past few years. I often find at least one thing I like, but I struggle finding the right sizes. Overall, I feel pretty bad for the employees there. It routinely looks like a tornado ripped through there at the end of each day. I normally go there soon after opening, & it is usually a pleasant experience. Not too busy, everything organized, easy shopping. I recently went later in the day...whoa!!! Some shoppers have absolutely no respect...dumping entire shelves of product all over the floor, taking dress shirts out of packages, throwing clothes on racks after removing them from hangers. I have been to other BCF's and they don't look like this later in the day. These guys must work all night to straighten this place out. It never looks like this in the morning. read more

Every once in a while I get a craving to come here. This is definitely a good place to go for coats-- got a Betsy Johnson down jacket last year for $30! Clothes have a wide variety of "mid-range brands", nothing super high end, but I was able to get jeans formerly from new york and company for 9.98 and have gotten nice sports bras for $7. This store requires patience. It's crammed full of so much, and it can get messy when people run like tornadoes thru the racks and dressing rooms, but you can definitely walk out with a lot of good items. This stores all right...'its not like a department store. theres just tons and tons of racks of stuff, it will take you literally 45 minutes to find a shirt and some jeans after going through 50 racks of dirty, inperfect close, You better go over the cloths you picked very carefully or your find out one sleeve is longer then the other or that it has no buttons or it has a hole.......BUT if you need to save money and you got the time to look it isn't that bad of a store. read more

A visit to this store was the continuation of the hunt for the silver, sparkly, bridesmaid shoe with a lucite heel. After a previous failure at another location, I ended up here. When I entered this location, I immediately knew that I would like looking for shoes and maybe some other stuff. The store is two stories tall and nicely laid out the various sections. It was large enough to manuever around without feeling so cluttered or clustered. I went upstairs and found the shoe department. I turned a corner and found the bridesmaid shoe in four different colors. I was extremely pleased to see this right away in hopes of completing my mission for the bridesmaid shoe. I went through all of the pink boxes and managed to find a size 10. I had hopes of finding an 11 because they tend to be more comfortable for someone with wide feet in commercially sold shoes in medium/average sizes. Luckily, the 10's fit well and had a little stretchiness to them. After finding the shoes, I ventured down to another women's paradise: the purse department. Though it was messy and in disarray, I was still able to find some nice items. I managed to find a cute, pleated Nine West bag in a sage green for my summer purse. I almost bought the bigger version, but knew if I did that I would probably fill it and need huge purses from now on. The checkout line was mass chaos. No line turned out to be a good one. I waited in line for about ten minutes before getting helped. This was with three or four cashiers working. Once I got helped, it went quickly. Overall, I like this Burlington Coat Factory. If you are in need of professional clothes for work, especially suits, at an affordable price, this is the place. I've bought several designer suits for $139.99 (and less!) here. There are also other great clothes here and many of them have low prices, if not rock bottom clearance prices. I've never had an issue with the clothes here (missing buttons, ripped seams, etc.). In fact, I have never, ever returned an item I've purchased at this Burlington Coat Factory. The store is pretty big; it consists of two floors (there are escalators). They have a luggage section, a decent shoe section, jewelry & other accessories, etc. The coat section is my second most favorite section, after the business suits. I bought my son a beautiful (and more importantly WARM) Ralph Lauren winter coat on sale for $100 (original price $149.99). In terms of their inventory, the only thing that is lacking to me is the children's section. There isn't enough of a selection, and usually the clothes can be found haphazardly on the racks and the floors. I'm sure this is due to the typical ill-mannered bargain shopper. However, I almost hate to even go to this section because I dread seeing the clothes all over the place. The only other issue I have with this store is the waiting time. If you think that you're going to be able to find your outfit and pay for it in 10 minutes flat- have I got news for you! I don't care what day of the week it is or what time of day it is- you are going to be standing in line, waiting for a cashier just like the rest of us. I have no idea why it takes so long to make a purchase in this store. All I know is that I make sure I am pleased as punch when it's my time to approach the register, so that the cashier doesn't find a reason to extend my time there. Despite the long wait time, the cashiers are actually pretty pleasant. The last time I was there, there was a computer glitch and the cash registers went down. That was a fun day, let me tell you. Luckily for me, the system came back up when I finally made it to the cashier. The cashiers were just as weary as we were, but they made the best of it. My winter coat had a long life, and I needed a new one. This place was two miles south of my apartment, so I headed there. The store is very large, and covers two stories. There was an extra large selection of coats available - unfortunately, most of the coats were extra large (or extra extra extra extra large). I eventually found a large coat that had a drawstring inside so that the coat didn't feel too big on me. The price was right, too. 4 stars/5 read more

However I've gone to Macy's for a coat this winter and I got a long down DKNY coat but couldn't find any Michael Kors long down coat in my size. I pepped into Burlington and found it. It was awful. Everything was on the floor. Extremely messy, unorganized, dirty and just plain bad. I hardly ever shop Burlington but decided to find a coat for my son. Although we did find a nice coat, we both agreed we will never return again. On top of the awful shopping experience, crazy long lines and complete disarray, the cashier forgot to remove the security tag off the jacket.
