Begins here first account of operative me, agent number 773, on arrival of North Riverside greater area. Note: North Riverside is neither North of home location nor is this location on the side of any river. Date: 11-26-10 For official record, during American winter shopping masses gather in force on one certain day they call "Black Friday", during this day they must attend shopping malls and give currency for trade items. Why the color, is still unknown. Magic see through door go sideways and disappear inside wall to open path from outside. Inside stand Caucasian old man, slave man dressed in American ugly holiday sweater made to say "Welcome to Burlington Coat Factory". Also inside, tall colored man in dark formal wear, pinned to formal top a plastic shiny object that read "security". Wondering if color pertained to special day so spoke "Happy Friday to you", no response was given. Moved on. Approach dwarf sized American, ask "Where keep fur-like material to insulate upper torso in this land". Dwarf sized American stared and blinked, ask "Layers of dead animal to warm" more blinks, ask "Does keep material for normal sized humans". Finally American woman grabs dwarf by the hands gives me a strange look and walks away telling dwarf to stop putting things in ones mouth and wipes his nose. Follow current companion up jagged disappearing stairs of death. Interesting American invention, Nathan Ames, land called Massachusetts 1859. Immediate notice of wooden columns stuffed with fur material and rows of circular holders with more. Spot tiny American jump out of one clawing for another tiny American, who mildly escaped and ran away. When approaching silver holder, for companions safety, straight legged kicked into holder. No contact made, but for safety precautions performed kick at every occasion. Found much needed fur material for very little currency. Grabbed two, found to be fair exchange. Made way to exit when stopped by currency trade line. Time much needed for this. Note: Not to exit dwelling on date 11-26-11.

Line wrapping around store because employees do not understand hot to use the register

Whenever there is a long line, why do they put only one cashier at the register? It's like waiting for ride at Great America.

For several years I've been able to buy…read moreinexpensive plus size clothing here that lasts plenty long enough for me, looks professional, yet doesn't cost an arm and a leg. More recently I've been buying baby clothes here because what I love about JCP is their sales and that extends to the children's clothing. At this particular store, the entrance on what I found out was the second floor is does not have any sort of button for disabled folks to enter. It is kind of astounding to me that in the year 2024 this is not standard on basically any entrance door, especially on a building that's less than 100 years old. Also interesting is that the elevator is in one of the further corners of the store, so that seems really helpful for someone with a disability who's trying to visit. They no longer have a Sephora, but they do have a beauty section in the middle of the store. They don't sell the same brands as they did as Sephora, though. I asked if they had the Lancome mascara that I use and they didn't. I'd return if I was in the area but may not make a special trip here. That's what online is for.

I drove to this location from the northwest side. I wanted to purchase some clothes and shoes. There were a lot of 75% off sales on the racks....(NOT) I looked for what seemed for ever, when I did find something nice ,(at a good sale price ) when at the register the cashier told me that it was twice the price on the tag. That some people change the tags...Ugh!!!! Soo disappointed. There were items I would have tried on but It was like 80* inside. I was uncomfortable, and sweating. There were no real customer service, when I was browsing the jewelry department the attendant ignored me, so I walked away. Not worth the aggravation. If you like to wear grandma clothes like from the old SEARS stores this is the place to shop.

Some things are new, others are damaged or out of the package. Each day has a different set price. I went on Tuesday when everything was $1.00. I found a few good items which made the experience fun. They are closed on Wednesdays to restock. They accept cash and there is a small fee for using a card. If you like a treasure hunt for bargains, check this place out!

Thursdays are $10 for everything, Fridays are $8, etc. going down by $2 each day until Tuesday when whatever is left is $1. Pros: Good deals on stuff from Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc. great place to pick up random gifts for people Clothes are buy 1 get 1 free daily Cons: Since they don't let you open boxes, it's hard to know what you are getting often and you have to stand in a line to have them open it if you are interested It is overwhelming and can take hours there to go through everything, I stopped going on the $10 day as there is a fire hazard amount of people there. Some things are used or broken and if you don't want to wait in line to open, you may have just wasted your money Despite the cons I still do go as I enjoy shopping but if you don't enjoy rummaging through things this may not be for you.
