Has a small parking lot that is shared with a sandwich shop. The shop was a little crowded with stuff, seems more of a space where they do a lot of delivery service vs walk in's. At first I didn't think I would find what I was looking for. Susan the woman working asked how to help, I mentioned I needed something for a couple co-worker's who had lost their father to cancer. She offered me 2 roses (asked what color I would like, I went with white) and with some baby breath. She then wrapped them up nicely and offered me to blank cards to include. $10 for the two. I walked away happy with the product and thought the service was friendly. I did ask her the delivery range for towns, if I would to use this florist again I would go with delivery. read more

Valentine's Day disaster2023 I ordered my flowers a week before Valentine's Day from Burlington florist for my wife I called the day before just to make sure that I was all set. I spoke to the woman by the way who is a miserable and probably hates her job anyways, so I confirmed that they were to be delivered. I confirmed that, I wanted them to contact me if they had any questions or concerns not my wife I gave them specific directions to go around back she works in the cafe instead they went in the front and the person at the desk. was like no she doesn't work here cause she works in the cafe so the guy left with out reading the notes so they called my wife left her a voicemail saying oh we can meet up later if you want or you could come by and pick them up I order them to be delivered payed for them to be delivered instead of calling me they ruin the surprise she finally got get her flowers after she had to wait in the parking lot after work waiting for the guy and when he gets there he still did the same thing he pulled up into the front even though she told him again that it's around back and to top it all that off when he gave her the flowers two of the buds fell off wtf just the worst communication. They clearly could care less about making another person's day special on Valentine's Day. I will never ever order from them again and I suggest that nobody does either. California boy met this girl from Boston and I couldn't resist but send her flowers. I have never been to the east however good old yelp help me find a trust worthy florist and I couldn't be more happier with my decision. Placed my order via the website and then I called and spoke with I believe her name was Susan who was really really helpful and friendly. My lady friend who I send the flowers to was not in the office the day of the delivery, however they left her a delivery tag with a contact number so they could bring the flowers again. I've delayed writing this review for several days, because I've been so upset by my experience. I placed an order on February 19th for a wake with this establishment, three days before the date of service. The order form was clear, the viewing was at 9am. The flowers did not arrive for the entirety of the wake. In fact, they did not arrive until the viewing hours were over, and the family had left the building. The grief, embarrassment and upset caused by this establishment's failure is still indescribable. A wake and funeral are fraught with emotion, and flowers are an incredibly important part of such an event. For some people, one or two floral arrangements may be all they have. The incompetence and unprofessionalism demonstrated by this florist was staggering. They had ONE JOB and they failed. It's also worth noting the female employee I spoke with over the phone offered no apology and said, "Well, it was an unusual viewing time, people usually have wakes in the afternoon." It's worth noting I had to call from the parking lot of the now empty funeral home, because nobody from the business could be bothered to contact me. When the flowers finally did arrive, which I waited to confirm, and subsequently was LATE to the burial, they were not even the colors I paid for and the blooms were withered. Again, no phone call to me ahead of time to ask if this was acceptable. The only communication I would receive from this florist in the aftermath would be an automated email indicating they had refunded my purchase. There was no phone call to apologize, no card, nothing. No amount of money can remediate what happened. I have never been so upset and embarrassed, and will never do business with this florist again. Please keep my experience in mind when honoring your dearly departed loved ones; people should feel confident in their purchase during such difficult times, and this establishment failed on all counts. read more

Placed an order at 9pm and realized that I had the delivery wrong and called them @ 9:15pm expecting to leave a voicemail, and they answered! Ohhh boy. I live in NC, so I ordered flowers online through Burlington Florist. I picked them because of how close they lived to the recipient. The good: 1) Easy to use online system with great pictures. 2) They delivered the flowers. The bad: 1) They delivered the flowers on the wrong day: on April 1st. Go figure. 2) The picture of the arrangement online did not match the flowers that the recipient received. The arrangement was missing: chrysanthemums, limoniums, and white lilies. Now I understand an online stock photo doesn't represent the flowers a shop may have available and that comparable substitutions are made. But there were no substitutions made for the arrangement I ordered...just Baby's Breath added where other flowers could have been. ***** That's the problem with the ordering online (and being out of state) is you can't see the product that's being delivered. The recipient who got the arrangement texted me a photo and I was disappointed at what they received. I recently got married this past May. We looked EVERYWHERE for florists. We actually ended up looking at the website, The Knot (wedding website) and saw that Burlington Florist was rated top florist in my area. I was super psyched to hear this because every time we met with a florist, their prices were beyond ridiculous! My mom and I had an intial visit and met with Susan. She was very helpful especially with her experience with different types of flowers (and I learned SO MUCH about all flowers through her!). We had an idea with what we wanted but it was a little costly so she helped us do similar flowers to our liking. For the centerpieces for our wedding, we wanted hydrangeas and calla lillies. Calla Lillies are very expensive so she helped us pick out other elegant flowers such as the lisianthus, green roses (which are beautiful actually....I'm not a big rose fan myself - weird I know). Susan guided us throughout the whole process and everything went very smoothly. She was very trusting and extremely friendly. My mom wanted a flower for her purse and she spent almost 45 minutes on the phone telling her about different combinations of flowers - what would look good. On the day of the wedding, my bridal bouquet looked gorgeous -- dutch hydrangeas and calla lillies. The bridesmaid had a single stem hydrangea - very simple and elegant. The Groom had a single calla lilly, while the groomsmen had green roses (-- which tied in the centerpieces), and the mother of the groom had a white rose while my mom had a small arrangement of callas and other flowers. The centerpieces looked absolutely gorgeous....I was SO happy when I saw them. I HIGHLY HIGHLY reccomend Burlington Florist -- and Highly Reccomend using Susan to help you. One more thing, her floral arrangements for birthdays and other holidays are also quite beautiful. I got an arragement for my mom for her birthday and it was STUNNING. read more

An arrangement was just delivered to my house and while the flowers were fresh and lovely, the arrangement was anything but. Talk about old school unimaginative. It was borderline tacky. Whoever owns this shop must log onto the Winston's site for a tutorial on how to arrange and how to match. It really was so badly put together (scad of baby's breath filler, eeeeeek) that I immediately pulled every stem out of the giant white wicker basket (hello, it's October) grabbed my vases and went to work on a re-do that wouldn't assault my eyes. It took all of 15 minutes to fix and I've now got two great vases full - red roses and alstromeria and another with pastels. read more

I ordered some flowers online for my gf at work and it was not the greatest experience. Something just seemed off while I was sending it through online so I called to follow up with them. They said they did not receive it and to call back in a little while. So a little while later I called and they said they had received it. At this time she informs me they do not have the mug that was pictured online but they had one like it. I said to go ahead with it. I still do not know if they would've contacted me to tell me they did not have the exact one I ordered but judging by her tone I am guessing no. She was a bit annoyed at me because she did not have the one I ordered? She was like oh I guess Ill go see what it looks like. Gee thanks. Then I never find out if they completed my delivery so I call my gf later. She gets it at six at night because the delivery went to the mail room and then someone from there told her a package arrived. Way to make the whole flower delivery thing special guys! I get to her house at night and the mug is pathetic compared to the one online I ordered and I couldve done the arrangement in two seconds by myself. I wont use them again. AWFUL. Ordered flowers for a coworker, picked out a specific arrangement based on the colors that were in it. No where on the site does it says that the arrangement you are ordering may have flowers substituted and basically look NOTHING like what you selected. They showed up with the arrangement about 10am and left them with reception. Went to get them, and saw they were the complete opposite of what I ordered. Upon further examination, saw that there were many DEAD flowers. Called them and explained and was told that they would redo the arrangement but would have to go to the wholesaler as they had no orange flowers on hand so they substituted pink and green. Please understand I ordered these the day day before so they knew that they had to get orange flowers from their wholesaler more than 24 hours in advance. Asked why dead flowers were included, no response. Said they would bring the flowers back and pick up the old ones. About 2 pm rolled around and I called to see where they were as I was told they would be there by one. Was told they were on the way and to keep the other arrangement. Flowers came and they were worse than the first arrangement. Pretty much ALL carnations when the arrangement shown online boasts all these beautiful roses. Literally looked like someone threw a whole bunch of flowers in a vase without cutting them or tailoring them to the vase. Called to complain again and was basically yelled at and told they already went above and beyond. The lady apologized for the arrangement sent earlier but said she did this one and they were beautiful. Well, she needs to go back to floral school because a 5 year old could do better. Luckily i had both arrangements so I had to piece together one normal looking arrangement. NEVER again. Save your money and the frustration and go elsewhere.
