I was married on 8/23/2019 in Boston in the seaport and wanted a local florist to my venue. From the moment I first spoke with Kerri at Kinship Floral a year prior to my wedding I knew that she was the florist for me. My wedding was small, 75 guests, and I knew that I didn't require a great deal of floral arrangements. Kerri listened to what I was looking for and we emailed back and forth with pictures for inspiration. She was always communicative and uses a very efficient online proposal system that makes things so much easier to view your estimated proposal. When it came closer to the wedding and we had our meeting with Kerri, she created a beautiful mock-up centerpiece arrangement that was so helpful to visualize our wedding day. Kerri was always available by email to address changes and even gave us suggestions on where to find various other items for our centerpieces we were looking for. She even got on the phone with me a few days before the wedding to go over all final details for both the ceremony and reception flowers. On our wedding day we had the ceremony and reception in the same location. I was taking pictures during my first look when I got a glimpse of the ceremony aisle and ceremony flowers and I was blown away. I stopped what I was doing to stare because it was so breathtakingly beautiful and she took my vision and created an even more perfect version. Kerri is single-handedly responsible for creating my perfect day and I've received dozens of compliments on how beautiful our wedding flowers were. My bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets were nothing short of stunning. When the box of flowers was brought into the bridal suite I was blown away. I had no idea that I would ever have such beautiful flowers for my own wedding. Kerri is kind, helpful and above-all she is dedicated to her clients and helping them achieve their dream goals for their wedding. All the while staying within your budget and finding ways to help keep costs reasonable so that you can still have what you're looking for. Never once making you feel badly about needed to make changes or reduce costs. I couldn't be happier with how my wedding turned out. My mum got a birthday floral delivery today...lovely arranagement of flowers from Kinship including cheerful gerber daisies. From her cousins, but the floral leader/organizer lives out in Seattle and usually orders online so I appreciate this order was treated like any other local order. Driver rang the bell, left it on the landing, waited until I came out and waved to me -- did not just leave it in the heat, which was considerate. Note the candy canes are not part of the arrangement for some reason my mum has them on small vase on that table. read more

Kerri is super nice and helpful. I'm trying to plan my June 2020 wedding during covid. I've had to make a lot changes to my wedding plans due to covid. The covid situation sucks, but Kerri has been super flexible and understanding during this process. She doesn't hesitate to meet with me or chat about my ideas or plans as they change. She has been super accommodating and never makes me feel bad when I reach out for changes. Although I am buying limited flowers because my wedding is small, Kerri doesn't not treat me like a small customer. I appreciate that. Not everyone wants to spend thousands of dollars on flowers for their wedding. Kerri understands that and meant my needs within a price range that I was comfortable with. I haven't received my flowers yet so I can't speak upon flower freshness and quality but I felt compelled to write this review simply based on customer service. If I could rate this a zero - then I most certainly would. Let me start by saying that I typically don't write reviews but felt strongly that this message should go out to other individuals doing their research on a potential florist. I was hosting a large event of roughly 200 guests. I was doing my due diligence and attempting to find a florist to create my vision for this event I had been planning. I contacted Kinship Florals, spoke to Kerrie via email and began providing her with photos and a narrative of how I'd like my event to look, what the theme was and how I had envisioned the flower arrangements. Kerrie came back and quoted me 2-3x my budget for the vision I was striving for. I asked her if she could work with me and if there could be any alternatives done to reduce the cost. She had told me no, it was impossible, and that all other florists would say the same thing to me if I went else where. I completely disagreed with her and she provided me with an analogy that didn't quite work to fit the scenario at hand. I went ahead and contacted about 2-3 other florists because I didn't believe her. Guess what? ALL the florists that I contacted were able to provide me a quote right within my budget AND they were able to make large gorgeous centerpieces that Kerri was just about to up charge me by 2-3x for. I told Kerrie what occurred and she simply said good luck. I ended up going with one of the other florists, and they went above and beyond for the event I hosted. Not only did they meet my budget expectations --my event was jaw dropping. That's not even where this ends - I saved so much money that I ended up getting 2-3x as much floral decorations for the same exact price Kerrie quoted me for her empty, small floral package. Stay away from this floral shop! You're overpaying, and there are many other well-crafted, talented florists out there who will actually LISTEN and WORK WITH YOU AND YOUR WALLET! Ordered the Christmas homecoming basket off their website. What was received looked nothing like the photo and description of the basket. I guess they can get away with anything when there's a disclaimer for substitutions posted on their website. She took our style preferences and our vision for color palette and made them into a reality better than we could have imagined. Kerri was easy to communicate with and a pleasure to work with. Kerri was the absolute best! We used her for our wedding this summer and she did such a fantastic job. I knew nothing about flowers and basically just sent her pictures of stuff I liked on pinterest and she emulated them *perfectly*. It was easy to set up meeting times with her and dropoff the day of went very smoothly. Kerri was one of the easiest vendors to work with, was very upfront about pricing, and we got the most compliments on our flowers at the wedding. I still have family members bringing up how beautiful they were! Kerri was amazing to work with! I contacted her just under 2 months before my wedding because initially I did not think I would be able to afford real flowers. She did my bouquets and boutonnieres, as well a few low centerpieces. My mother and I have been looking at Kinship Floral's display windows for a long time. They are always elegant, fun and beautiful so when it came time for my wedding we decided to give them a try. It was a great choice. Kerri listened closely to what I said liked and created centerpieces, a bouquet and other decoration which represented it perfectly. Her pick of flowers and colors was original and creative, and very different from what I have seen at countless weddings (which is just what I wanted). I've never wrote a review for any type of business in my life. I am disgusted with Kinship Floral. I gave the benefit of the doubt, after they forgot an order, then told me on a separate occasion that they "ran out of flowers" and then today when they told me they never received my order even though I read off the confirmation email to them. Always had great experience at kinship, that is until today when it mattered most. I was in charge of doing the centerpieces for my 86 year old mother in laws wedding. I ordered callalillies a month before I needed them and paid in full. When I went home to assemble centerpieces SURPRISE! Not enough of the flowers. My order was shot 7. I called and was told there was nothing they could do because they didn't have any in stock and they had a recital to attend any minute. Receptionist was shocked that I was angry and couldn't understand why. I mean its only a wedding right? I ended up finding replacement flowers on my own. Their offering was roses because that's all they had. I suppose that would have been fine if the 9 other centerpieces were done with roses, but they weren't. Was totally blown away by lack of caring from worker there. I mean just last week my family spent three hundred dollars on flowers there, plus the two hundred on flowers for wedding. You think for a good customer they would go the extra mile. They must not need the business. My advice, if you need a carnation go to kinship, if you need something more elegant go elsewhere. read more

My experience at kinship floral was excellent. With very short notice, they made me a beautiful flower crown for my friend's baby shower with the fresh white roses. It was absolutely beautiful.
