Hallie listened carefully to my purpose for sending flowers and made a perfect recommendation for just the right bouquet. The cost for the flowers and delivery was fair and reasonable. I picked up flowers in a bit of a rush, a couple of days prior to Valentine's Day, and in my short visit the shop was very charming! The staff were helpful in providing quick instructions and the flowers were absolutely beautiful (see pic). We engaged Hallie to create two large flower arrangements and four boutonnieres for our wedding. I mentioned that my future husband is a Buddhist and that although we were to be married in an Episcopal church, we were including Buddhist elements in the service and that I'd like the flowers to include some Buddhist colors like saffron. Hallie was the first florist I called when planning our May 2016 wedding, because I have long been a fan of her taste and arrangements. She and her team made all of our beautiful wedding flowers Hallie went above and beyond to make our wedding exceptional and made our big day so much less stressful! When we were forced to change our venue on short notice, from being down the street from Hallie's Flower Garden and Formaggio Kitchen, Hallie quickly made us new decorations to fit the new space. She also delivered them to us on the morning of our wedding day in Boston!! She is a pleasure to work with and put a smile on our family's faces when they met her too! Hallie and her team are incredible and really EXCEEDED all our expectations! For our wedding flowers, I originally had some pretty specific requests: I dreamed of using my favorite flowers from my family's garden from where I grew up in Westchester, New York. I requested flowers in plum, orchid, blush, and white shades, especially peonies, deep purple and white (a rarer color) fragrant lilacs, and lush greenery. I guess I was also quite specific about the greenery- I hoped for ferns and delphiniums, not ivy, eucalyptus, or anything like that. Hallie understood my specific visions (there are a lot of biologists and garden enthusiasts in my family) and our appreciation for flowers and plants totally aligned which made wedding planning that much easier! Hallie made orchid corsages and boutonnieres for our parents, grandparents, and grooms party that were beautiful and lasted all day. Lilacs happened to be not doing so well in May, 2016 but Hallie was able to find them and add purple and WHITE lilacs to all of the bouquets and create TWO gorgeous and fragrant lilac & delphinium sconces to adorn our wedding arch (including the metal vases), plus the rest of our beautiful wedding flowers. These two pieces turned out to be the best wedding decoration we had-- The folks at our venue, Top of the Hub skillfully moved these around the Skywalk Observatory, and these provided a beautiful backdrop as guests moved through the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dining space during our wedding. She also made all my dreams come true with fragrant lilac (!) and peony (blooms AND buds!) bridal and bridal party bouquets. Thank you so much for everything Hallie!! read more

I worked with Hallie for my wedding in September at the Harry Parker Boathouse. From the very beginning to the very end of the planning process - Hallie was one of the best vendors I worked with overall. I'll admit, I am not flower-obsessed like a lot of brides ~ I like flowers, but was blown away by the price it would take to put something decent on each table (and at the ceremony... and on the cake...). Hallie was completely open to working with whatever I had budgeted with and delivered on making beautiful arrangements that were beyond what I could have imagined on my own. Besides "getting" what I was looking for, Hallie was also incredibly responsive and on top of it ~ which is such a relief when you are planning a big event. Even when she is busy (talented people tend to have a lot going on, after all), she would remember her promises to call/email me back. She spent a lot of time with me going through each detail so she could make sure she understood how the flowers would fit in with all the other decor details.
