The flowers were beautiful, costs were just a fraction of what it would cost to have a florist procure them and put them together. We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

Went here on Friday and I do not think this place is worth it whatsoever. I was highly disappointed…read moreafter wanting to go here for over a decade. First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that. When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.

The district is located between San Pedro St and Maple Ave and between E 7th St and E 9th St. Most of the crowd gathers near the intersection of E 7th St and San Pedro St. Check the Los Angeles Flower District website on flower availability by season ( https://laflowerdistrict.com/flower-availability/ ). [Parking]: Traffic was horrendous on Valentine's Day, but I was able to find some free street parking near Stanford Ave & E 8th St (near Ninth Street School). [Experience]: Most vendors accept cash or Zelle only. Many of the shops have good flower arrangement selections. There are several markets within the district and some of the more popular markets include: California Flower Mall (825 San Pedro St), LA Flower Place (720-718 San Julian St), and The Original Los Angeles Flower Market (754 Wall St). Also a part of the experience of shopping here is learning how to bargain. [Conclusion]: I did end up getting flowers at a shop here (Rob's Flowers - originally $75 but haggled to $65) and there is no question visitors will find arrangements that they won't normally find at grocery stores like Trader Joe's or Vons. It is a good spot to shop for flowers if visitors plan ahead of time and take 1 - 2 hours to shop around.

I did a major order last year and the arrangement delivered was beautiful and the price was excellent. This visit, we used a new vendor. I've been inside to look at some arrangements before and they were beautiful. Pretty much all the vendors outside the flower mart carries loads of arrangements. Majority are on display and can be purchased there and then. But you can actually get a quote of what you want. I wanted something simple but still elegant. Using what they have on display that gives an idea and adding things to it. It was easy and ordering was fast. Most places do delivery for a fee. You can walk into any of the vendors and check what their rates are. It's easy to look around and see what's out there. A lot of the arrangements are pretty similar but customizing it to your liking is available. Prices can varies depending on the sizes and flowered used. I placed an order and gave them the city of where it needed to get to. The lady taking my order knew exactly where it was going before we even said it. So they must have done a lot of deliver there. The floral stands do come with arrangements. They have a sash that comes free or you can get more of a professional style for an additional fee. I highly recommend ordering arrangements here. Pricewise for my order was great. For an extra large arrangement with added additional flowers including delivery and sash was 250.00. I've looked at websites and simple smaller arrangements were that price or more. It's a deal at the flower district. Highly recommend ordering arrangements. They're a gem in a community where there are less businesses who are familiar with Japanese cultural requests. I've ordered from them a few times one time for sympathy flowers. Most recently, Little Tokyo Florist made 2 beautiful custom bouquets and understood exactly what I was going for. It looked unique and not generic and had the more wild aesthetic I was going for. They have a good selection and the quality of the flowers for the last order was great. Photos of them don't do them justice! Only feedback is their delivery prices are a bit high and it can be tough to get the desired delivery time but that may be due to it being a small run business so it's the actual owner I believe who hand delivers some of the orders which is rare and cool. I ordered 2, one delivered to Monterey park which was $30 for delivery and the other was originally supposed to be delivered to the apartment building literally across the street (Tokyo Villa) and they were going to charge me $20 so I opted to pick it up after work and deliver them myself.

First off he started with cleaning a table and sitting us down (other places didn't even bother to stop what they were doing). He then asked what date we needed the flowers( wedding-occasion) he didn't want to lead us on and deliver a half worked job If he was overly booked. Luckily he wasn't! We then went on by showing him what we wanted and the specific flowers. We wanted peonies but it wasn't its season anymore the wedding was in September so we just missed it's peak. He was very straight forward about the flowers and that he would try and get what we wanted but would let us know if he couldn't. We didn't get the color specifically we wanted but he worked his magic to make it look just as perfect. All in all the bouquet was everything we wanted! Would highly recommend. Ps, read about the yelper for Valentine's Day I mean come on let's be realistic don't show up the day off and expect and bouquet there and then specially if he's a highly booked person.

I read reviews and made sure I called and made an appointment. This was helpful because he does get very busy. Thank you, Daniel!
