upon check out, one of the workers came up to my children and said you are so obvious he was accusing of him of stealing never have. I been so embarrassed. I lost my temper when I should've asked for a manager, this was a story I shopped at for years and to get treated the way we did yesterday was unbelievable I still can't believe he accuse us of stealing as I was checking out at that. I left my cart. I was so mad so embarrassed and insulted never will again will I ever come to the store this used to be one of my go to store when I came to Fargo not anymore. This Burlington is definitely dying. There seems to be less and less stocked. The staff really needs to be "zoning" more and picking stuff off the ground or putting stuff in the proper location. Additionally, the building is not fully utilized, there's a ton of empty space (see pictures). I am not sure how much longer this place is going to be standing... I come here once every three months just to see if they got anything new in, but it still seems sort of empty and limited. The store was good and a better amount of merchandise from last week. However Jenny, one of the cashiers was so disrespectful and rude. She had an attitude and acted like she did not care about the customers. If you don't like your job that's fine but at least act a little more friendly. read more

I drove 1 hour to this store to buy a coat,and there are NO coats. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Your business name is Burlington COAT Factory! To have NO coats in the store is misrepresentation of your store. I had to go to JC Penney, so you just lost $75-$100 to your competitor! I had never been to a Burlington before this, and from their ads I was a little unsure of what kind of store it was, exactly. Are they a manufacturer? The ads production values seem very cheap- are they an outlet mall? It turns out they're an "off-price" retailer like TJ Maxx, Ross and Marshalls... which I was/am also new to. Quick summary of off-price retailing is this from the Economic Times: "These retailers offer inconsistent assortment of brand name and fashion-oriented soft goods at low prices. They buy manufacturer irregulars, seconds, closeouts, canceled orders, overruns, goods returned by other retailers and end-of-season closeout merchandise." So while the parking lot hasn't been maintained and looks as awful as a Sonoran border ghetto outlet mall... the inside is actually pretty nice. There are crappy fashion watches with brand names like "American Exchange", with a logo clearly designed as a rip-off of (and hoping to be confused for) Armani Exchange. But there was also a nice assortment of Polo, Calvin Klein, and even some Nikes in the men's shoe department. I found a pair of Chuck Taylor All-Stars for about 60% what they'd cost in the full price sector. Not bad. You'll have to hunt around to separate the wheat from the chaff, and most of what you'll find will be wrong or late for the season (full-price retailers return what they don't sell to manufacturers, who then sell it to discount stores), but that doesn't change the fact that there are some great deals and pieces of clothing to be found here. I will definitely be making this a part of my hunting grounds when updating my wardrobe. They just need to fix the parking lot and clean/update the storefront to jump up to a 5-star rating from me. Nobody wants to be seen walking into a store with such a run-down, slummy exterior. read more

I moved to the area about three years ago, and usually only shop at Burlington about once a year for the kids' holiday outfits. I went into the fargo location last week; only the second time I had been in this specific location. I was not acknowledged during my entire shopping trip. There was no one attending the fitting rooms to try items on (the items we had to try on had security tags, which we had to maneuver around in order to even guess a size for my son. When I went to checkout there was no indication of any checkout being open and the one person at the checkouts (they have 8 checkouts total) ignored me basically while I felt like I was playing whack-a-mole trying to guess which checkout she was operating. Frustrated, I ended up leaving my entire cart and walking out. read more

Disorganized,hot, customer service is nonexistent. went there last week, went to check out and asked about an item I had that didn't have a price on it (I couldn't find another one or else I would've just taken it with me) cashier grabbed it looked at it and said we don't sell this brand then kept it. That was it!! Wtheck kind of thing was that!!! Yeah shop somewhere else. I'd rather pay extra somewhere else and have a good experience. It's just not with it!!! read more
