The most empty Macy's I have ever walked through…read more It's rather sparse for a Sunday afternoon. No luck finding any shops that have warm jackets or sweatshirts to cover my neck.

The West Acres Macy's is like a 1980s Superstar that fell from Grace their signs of former glory…read moreriddled in a carpet of needle scars and bad habits. I wouldn't be surprised if they were $6,000 in the hole and dead by Christmas. They must have all openings for management positions because there's zero leadership visible to the naked eye. A good example of this is a manager named Tristan; I asked them for help and they immediately bypassed me to another person who was already in the middle of something. I saw them do this to eight other customers including their own employees. This Tristan avoids leadership like covid. I'm assuming with an educated guess that 99% of all the other leadership is in the same position; people who fill the position but don't have a proper leadership bone in their body, theses people are not leaders they're parasites sucking the life out of one of the most renowned names in capitalism. I make this educated guess based on the experience I had. I was immediately bypassed (by Tristan) to another employee named Sara. This poor woman was already in the middle of what seemed to be five different projects when I was dumped on her she stayed calm kept her composure and gave me the best service she possibly could for that and only that I give Macy's one star. However if I could give zero I would because management like Tristan makes customers feel like burdens who are unwanted. Whoever designed the store is a complete imbecile putting the cash registers as far away from the West Acres entrance as humanly possible shows their lack of critical thinking and understanding of Logistics 101. Macy's thinks people are coming to the mall just to see them without a thought that maybe just maybe the biggest store in the entirety of North Dakota might have other things to offer. Macy's has everything you expect in a dying retail store; staff trying to do the absolute best with little to no help, worn out furnishings, dead light bulbs and dust bunnies as far as the eye can see. Obnoxious plants and fake vases are everywhere not for sale but it distract you from The Wretched atmosphere. What they don't give you is selection of quality Goods. I hope the CEOs flush this turd quickly because there's no way in polishing it.

Fargo Scheels Superstore review: I have been to this store many times for all kinds of things…read more Usually it is a pretty good experience. Expect to pay 10-15% more for the Scheels experience. This review is for the person who I believe is the Manager of the Running shoe Dept. He is a middle aged (45 about) short crew cut dark hair. He knows little to nothing about running shoes. All he can come up with is Brooks Glycerines and Asics Gel-Nimbus. Once you get past that he has no clue and the only reason he has those two down is because of their success Great Foam, Very Popular in the running community. I was in the Fargo Superstore yesterday looking at Trail Running shoes. I and I was interested in a Hoka Speed Goat. None of the young guys where around so I had to deal with guy. Not the first time. I wanted to try the Hoka's on.... They didn't fit too Small. The Dialogue was starting to deteriorate so I started asking him some questions about the Foam in the Hoka SpeedGoat 7 Compared to the OnCloud CloudHorizon I had just bought from that store less than a month a go. He told me the Foam in the Hoka SpeedGoat 7 is exactly the same as the OC CloudHorizon's. He could not have been more WRONG! Speedgoats are the Typical Super critical EVA and the OC CloudHorizon are a Proprietary formula of foam Called Helion HF. This Manager says it with so much Conviction it is hilarious but if you're not a running shoe consumer you would never know this person has little to no knowledge about running shoe construction or materials. The sad part is he is the standard for this stores running shoe Dept. If Scheels wants to up their game to the National Sports Equipment retailer they aspire to be. People in the organization like this Guy should be gone. When I go into scheels I expect a couple things: Certainly no Attitude, Expert advice from people who really know their products and a great Experience. Me: I am a 65 year old male started running in the mid 70s in Nike LD-1000s. Last sanctioned race I ran in was a few years ago I finished 3 in my Category. I grew up in Scheels Southside Fargo staring at Weatherby rifles listening to Jack Engen tell his big game hunting stories. I remember Steve (senior) being in that store quite a bit. Do I shop Scheels.... Yes I am a Huge Scheels fan. In the last year I have bought at least 10 -12 pairs of shoes from Scheels (Fargo & Moorhead). Four of them Being On Clouds (Great Shoes), but not from this guy. My Advice to Scheels If you want to get to the Next Level. Get rid of the People with the Attitudes, drastically Increase product knowledge of your Sales People (especially Mens Running) and teach some listening skills.
